Thanks coragreta, seems similar price to my area

Thanks Maybebaby2, £45 is very good, wish I lived a bit closer to Liverpool!

JB1983 · 21/05/2017 18:11

I've booked my private scan for £49 as it's on a half price offer - bargain!

coragreta · 21/05/2017 18:16

Thanks for the before the stork idea. I have to go to Liverpool soon to get my lo's passport so I might be able to combine the tow and save £30

chocolateshortcake · 21/05/2017 18:25

I've booked an early scan for a week today. I will be 7+5. I just can't wait, last time my 12 week scan was at 14 weeks but because is had no idea I was pregnant I ended up having an early scan through the midwife unit to date pregnancy (it was 7 weeks!)

Maybebaby2 · 21/05/2017 18:30

Yeah that would be good if you could combine both coragreta
Shame there's nothing closer to you in that price range joey, maybe have a look on groupon I think there were some deals on there.

Thingymaboob · 21/05/2017 18:48

Mine was £89. The sonographer found two large cysts on right ovary so is wanting to bring me back in 2 weeks to monitor. I'll be 8 weeks then so image will be better. That scan is a rescan so it's free.

coragreta · 21/05/2017 18:53

Fatty. Any chance you could pm me about Facebook?

Roseandbee · 21/05/2017 19:38

Thanks Mills just had a look at before the stalk as I'm near Liverpool, looks good and they also offer transvaginal, I couldnt do the pint of water thing last time I had a scan, just got nervous and peed it all out lol so I'm worried I'll pay for them to see nothing cos I can't hold my pee. The Liverpool one is also near a KFC #bonus

kdd1980 · 21/05/2017 19:43

Hi all, can I join? Found out I'm expecting baby no2 last week think I'm due around 25th Jan but need to organise midwife etc. I've a lot of health problems and am also 36 so a bit nervous about how it will all go. Xx

DooWhaaDiddy · 21/05/2017 20:36

Anyone had a scan at six weeks plus? I may book one for half term to reassure me....only £45 but can only do it that week so hoping will see something

Isabeau1980 · 21/05/2017 20:40

kdd1980 I'm 36 and expecting DC2 also. My DS turns 2 in August, how old is your other DC?

ifeellikechickentonight · 21/05/2017 20:43

My scan is on Wednesday, I'll be 7+3. Cost £74 but will be so worth it for peace of mind, I'm still really anxious having had two previous losses

DooWhaaDiddy · 21/05/2017 21:17

isa & kdd this is also my second and I'm 37....this will be my last chance so hoping for the best

Maybebaby2 · 21/05/2017 21:34

Isa kdd & doowhaa I'm 37 too. I was 22 when I had ds (now 15), so I'm worried that I'll find it all much more difficult this time around with having such a huge gap between. I'm definitely not physically the same as I was back then!

JoeyR · 21/05/2017 22:13

Wishing you lots of luck for Wednesday ifeellikechickentonight, hope it all goes really well

AmandaP86x · 21/05/2017 22:16

Has anyone had any cramping? My stomach feels totally bloated aswell.

I just feel such a dull ache down below like so aware of it. Had a bit of a meltdown earlier. I have no bleeding spotting etc just totally freaking out.

I was reassured by midwife in EPU today that it's normal basically ur body was ready for a period and got it so u still have that 1cm thick lining of blood and everything is tryin to stretch and settle in. I am just so scared honestly but I know nothing I can do will help. They said a scan the now is just too early & I should defo wait until I'm at least 7 weeks!!!!!

I am 6 weeks tomorrow the time is dragging 😭

Ruthcarr1990 · 21/05/2017 22:22

@AmandaP86x I have a scan tomorrow. I'm petrified!! Don't no how I'm going to sleep tonight I'm so nervous. Just praying that everything's ok.

Does any one no if there is a risk behind an internal scan? My previous 7 mc I've had internal scans then started to bleed so I'm petrified about having and internal one done! Xx

Train1 · 21/05/2017 22:29

@ruthcarr1990 I had to have internal scan with my first at 6 weeks, no issues at all. Have far along are you? They may not be a need for internal

Ruthcarr1990 · 21/05/2017 22:49

@Train1 think I'm about 5-6 weeks. Got a bump tho so don't no and last period I only bled for one day. Just petrified. I was put on fragmin, 75mg of Aspirin and 5mg of folic acid. Just praying everything ok and that they see something. Xxx

star1980 · 22/05/2017 06:37

Hello to the new bfps, congratulations!

And hi to the fellow older mum's too - isabeau, kdd, doowhaa and maybebaby - I'm 36 and this is my 1st! Started ttc 2.5 years ago, it's been a long long road. Smile

Had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday afternoon at 5+2. Dark red like dried blood with a bit of (sorry tmi) brown discharge. Seems to have cleared up now though, but keeping an eye on it. Thought about booking a scan but figured it wouldn't be reassuring this early so waiting until I'm at least 7 weeks (fingers crossed I get there)

Good luck for your scan today Ruth, try to relax as much as you can. Flowers

coragreta · 22/05/2017 07:06

Ruth. Do you think you could be further along? I had an internal last time with no problems. I would think they wouldn't do an internal scan if there was any risk, especially with your history. I hope it goes well!!
What's the time frame for getting an scan? Do you book in and the appointment will be a couple of weeks away or can I phone up and get an appointment for a couple of days time?

ndo4000 · 22/05/2017 07:11

A fellow geriatric older mum here! Am 36 and expecting dc3! I have a 10 & 7 year old already.

@star1980 hope the spotting is nothing to worry about. Fingers crossed.....

I feel as rough as a badger's arse today. Struggling to make dds packed lunch & wondering what on earth I should try to force down myself for breakfast Confused

Seven0fNine · 22/05/2017 07:16

Morning ladies,

I was worried everyone was really far ahead of me but lots of people have joined since I have with the same or later EDD to me - 25th January.

Found out last Wednesday and since then really had an achy, tight feeling below my belly button and my ovaries keep twinging, sore boobs and been really tired. Still sleeping well though which is brilliant.

Tried making an appointment at the doctors last week but they are fully booked for ages. They told me to make an on the day appointment today but I can't really get out of work so going to try for Wednesday/Thursday afternoon but if not I will have to go Friday. Luckily DH has an appointment Wednesday evening for something else so going to go with and mention it to our lovely doctor then.

I think groupon has some good offers on scans - they always pop up when I'm on there. Although I don't think I'll be having one. Trying to save as much as possible!!!

millsbynight · 22/05/2017 07:44

Hi ladies!

Currently watching DS and DH eating breakfast and trying not to gag so distracting myself with MN.

For those of you in your mid-late 30s you're not geriatric at all! I live in a naice part of London and one neighbour is currently pregnant and she's 39, other neighbour has a 1 year old but the dad is in his early 50s, and another neighbour up the road had a baby in January at 41 and is now TTC for No.2! I think it's very normal these days for baby No.1 in your mid 30s, certainly in London anyway. I'm the anomaly in my area!
