Thanks everyone. Have spent the day on the sofa with my dog watching tv. Feeling emotionally drained. Read somewhere that keeping really hydrated can help. Not sure if it's true but it can't hurt....

ndo4000 I'm so pleased that it's good news! Bleeding is so scary, but it's good they were able to reassure you that if there's more, it'sfrom the same problem.

Shaan welcome to the thread, and sorry for the complicated situation you find yourself in. You're going to do the best for your baby now, and it doesn't sound like your ex was going to be part of that; robindeer is right. But it's still hard, and I hope you have supportive family and friends to help you. As for being a worrier, we're all worried in the first trimester, so we know what you're going through there!

I'm also having a duvet day off, being so exhausted I basically do not have enough energy to make it to the shower. Must go walk the dog though; he won't understand pregnancy exhaustion!

Any one else feel massive I'm around ment to be 9 weeks according to my dates!! Don't think I'm going to be able to hide it for much longer xxx

@Waitingonasmile I think I'm 9 they said at last scan I was a week behind my dates.

@weasledee there was only one on last scan lol. There are twins on both mine and my partners side.

Some how I'm not going to be able to this quiet for much longer. Just been telling people that I'm having issues with water retention pmsl. Xxx

I have a dd who is 4 I've had 7 mc's now this little (or not so little) bean xxx

Does anyone know if the sweet brain lockers are safe to eat? My sister brought one round and can't stop looking at it 🙈

I'm so glad to see others with bumps/bloat!! I currently look about 6 month preggo. Everyone was in nice fitted t shirts and dresses today and I had to dress myself in a near sack with a coat on to hide my stomach. Roll on the next 3 weeks!!

I'm so tempted to get an early scan done, what are people's thoughts? I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow and I'm trying so hard not to get too excited but I can't help it! I just want to know I'm not imagining all this.

For me robin if you can afford it, it's a no brainer. If you see a heartbeat there is less than a 2% chance of miscarriage which I'm hoping will take a lot of the stress away. Mine is on Sat, can't wait!!

I had an 8w reassurance scan and recommend it 1000% 😁 It made it all so real.

2%?! That's amazing! I might start looking at appointments...! I had thought, what if I see a heartbeat, fall in love (as if I'm not already) and then end up even more devastated if something goes wrong. That's so stupid written down that I think it's made my decision for me!

Took DS to the lido after school today as it's sooooo hot and I jut look fat and podgy, no pretty neat round bump :( and I was surrounded by young 18 and 20 year olds with stick thin bodies 😫

Bizarre preggo cravings continue, had Carrs cheese melts with onion dip for my dinner closely followed by 3 pots of banana yogurt. Healthy, balanced, and nutritious....!!

I would definitely recommend early scan! For me it also took away ectopic fear I had because of random one sided pains. Seeing heartbeat is so reassuring too.

I'm on the other side of the fence. I had 8w scan on Sunday, could see sac but no baby. Went to EPU on Monday, they said I have to wait 2 weeks before they will rescan. I feel like I'm being tortured, I wish I hadn't had it.

Same as me Robin! I will be 8 weeks 2 days then. Sorry to hear that Eva, fingers crossed everything is ok for you. Could you have got your dates wrong?

Re- early scan. I had one at 8 wks and it confirmed that the baby was in the womb and had a heartbeat, which was very reassuring. Personally, if there's likely to be a problem I would prefer to know sooner rather than later - but that's just down to the individual, I think. Pregnancy didn't quite feel "real" for me before I had the scan (although the exhaustion and nausea was real enough!) - so seeing that there was actually a little bean there has helped me to start getting my head around it.

Yay @ndo that's great news! I had some spotting too but at the scan all was fine. Its so scary but it seems it's all quite normal. Always worth getting checked out though for peace of mind!

@eva you poor thing. 2 weeks is an awfully long time to wait, I'm sorry you're going through this. I've had an early scan in every pregnancy (no babies yet) and for me I'd rather know asap if something was wrong but everyone is different.
