@ndo4000 - How're you doing? As others have said, try not to worry, but get yourself checked out as soon as you can. Are you able to speak to a midwife out of hours in your area?

Sorry everyone. Have been in a&e. Got to go back tomorrow for a scan. No idea what is going on and very teary. Hand holding needed.....

DH at home with me & friend came with me to hospital. Bleeding is less but still there and no more gushes. Bit of achey pain. Not feeling hugely optimistic if I'm honest....

Currently 8 weeks and due on 19th January. Horrible sickness, feeling very bloated and exhausted by 4pm but very excited for new baby, just hoping all goes well, I'm such a worrier☹️ my partner (baby's daddy) and I broke up on Saturday, he says he wants nothing to do with me, he doesn't love me and he can't see a future with me so looks like it's just me and my little lodger for the foreseeable future!

He sounds like a class act Shaaan, sorry to hear you've been so let down. He'll realise one day what he gave up, but for now, don't you give him a minute's thought. Have you got anyone looking after you?

Can't remember who was asking about telling work. There are no rules so just do whatever you need to to make it easier for YOU. If you want to tell them, go for it. I'm telling mine today because I have a really obvious bump and I had to tell my family because my mum spotted it at week 5! I've also had a private scan so feel optimistic about everything.

Thanks @PolkaDotFlamingo. Am just waiting on a call so I know what time to go in for a scan. No major bleeding overnight, but am paranoid.

Keep trying to be pragmatic and think that if it's not meant to be, then its not meant be. But it's the not knowing what is going on which is so horrible.

I had been getting myself all excited about telling people in a couple of weeks.....

@ndo I had similar with my first around 8 weeks. Completely unexplained but all was fine. Fingers crossed for you!

Thank you for all the supportive msg. Update is that I went for my scan and little baby waved at us! All looked well with a strong HB. I have some blood gathered (a subchorionic bleed) on one side (the opposite side to the placenta). Doctor said my bleed yesterday stemmed from there but to be prepared that there is more blood in there. Have another scan booked for 2 weeks time. Good news, but not entirely out of the woods.

I have been asked to sign up to a trial of taking progesterone suppositories. Has anyone else been offered this? Apparently they think there may be a link to reducing the risk of early mc by increasing progesterone?

@ndo4000 I'm so made up its good new and they could explain the bleed, take it easy and look after both you and baby

Hi ndo400, DS1 was an ivf baby and as part of the treatment there I was prescribed progesterone suppositories until 12wks. The thinking was the same - that it would lower the chance of miscarriage. Obviously can't say if it was that that worked or not but I had no bleeding at all. Hope it works for you!

@ndo4000 that's brilliant news. I'm on blood thinning injections daily. Seems to have worked a treat. I've had 7 MC but this one seems to have stuck xx

Wonderful news ndo4000. I had a sub-chronic hematoma in my last pregnancy and everything was absolutely fine. Fingers crossed it'll be gone by next scan.

I cant believe I will have my dating scan in less than a week. Starting to get nervous already even though I saw heartbeat 2 weeks ago.

Brilliant news ndo I was really hoping it was that and nothing else!
