Personally it would worry me if I didn't use it correctly by accident once. It's safer not knowing at all for me. But if you want it, go for it.

Good news disinterested! Yes, the EPU nurse told me that early scans are not overly accurate and that it's very normal to "make up" a week or even 10 days' worth of measurements by the 12 week scan, when baby is bigger and margin of error is smaller. I wasn't worried about it anyway, as I hadn't been tracking ovulation and I knew my cycles were likely to be messed up after the miscarriage, but she was very reassuring that way!
coragreta I think the doppler is reassuring later on, when it's easier/more reliable to hear a heartbeat. I don't know how reassuring it would be this early; the MW I know says it's hard to find before second trimester. I think it would freak you out if you couldn't find it one day. Does the MW on the thread want to weigh in?

I just want to moan. I'm massively painfully bloated (even more than normal) and I have the most vile smelling farts. I must have farted 50 times this evening but still seem to be getting bigger!

@Usernamegone that was me yesterday one even made me heav that much I was sick!! My dh passed comment on how manly they were!! Not been that bad today!! I did tell my dh it's your child what do you expect with your arse!! Xxx

thingmabob glad it's not just me then!!! Feel a little less crazy now. May mention my worries to midwife and have test just to ease my mind.

The piles have started today! Woke up with bad constipation cramps been on toilet most of morning 😩 Any remedies? I don't know if it's from the wiping or from the piles lol!

I am feeling progressively worse today. Only half an hour before today's shift ends...

I'm still not vomiting but my stomach is so upset and I'm unbelievably tired

Trying to come up with an excuse to head home to bed but can't justify it at all

Got my first scan through post today - 11th July 9am!!

I really try not to leave work or call in sick, as it puts so much pressure on my colleagues when I do.

Hi everyone!

I'm 10 weeks today!

Have got my scan appointment through, finally. It's the 27th June, which is 2 days after my birthday.

Nausea still going strong and I have had a migraine the last two days. I think I might be dehydrated though. Trying to drink more.

I too am full of wind, so bloated, I look 6 months pregnant and I think people have started to notice. This is my 3rd so was bound to show early as I have a bad diastasis recti (where my stomach muscles didn't go back together).

Can I join too please? I'm 9 weeks today, EDD 12th Jan 2018 but will be earlier as will be an elective C-Section. This will be my third DC and won't be long before people start noticing (if they haven't already). Just good to speak to someone!

Hi everyone, hoping I can join. Have been reading for a while but haven't posted before as I wanted to wait until I was a bit further along. I'm 10+2 now and I think my edd is Jan 2nd.
This is my 2nd child and I'm just hoping I don't go too far over due as my ds has his birthday 2 weeks later.

Have you all been eating Chinese takeaway? I really fancy one but read so many bad things about them online!

Re: Chinese - I craved egg fried rice last weekend so had some with prawn crackers. If it's any consolation i feel much bigger this week than last! I didn't think to Google about Chinese and probably won't now you've mentioned it's bad. I rarely have it anyway. Eggs benedict I'm craving and is hard to find it safe to eat out.

Hi Gruffalo and thanks for the welcome! This will be my first section, previous two assisted deliveries which in different ways didn't go well. I seem to do quite well at pregnancy but am terrible at birth How about you?

What does your morning / any time of the day sickness feel like? I've not been sick (yet) but constantly feel like there's a ball or chunk of food in the pit of my throats it's gross it doesn't go away even if I eat or drink something. I am just interested to see if anyone else has this feeling?

Re the Doppler convo I'm not sure if I could have one it's a personal thing. I think it's lovely to be able to hear the heart but if you are getting it for a monitoring purpose I'm not sure...if the heart beat isn't there it might mean the worst but if it isn't there its too late anyway to do anything about it or what if you accidentally didn't hear it, that would freak me out completely!!! I think it's cool all these things exist but I know myself and I think for me it would turn into a weird obsession or something. It would be cool to listen in though occasionally so I can see the temptation!

MissyJones80s your nausea sounds similar to mine. I can't get away from it, but it seems to vary in intensity depending on how hungry I am, but I can feel just as I'll after I've eaten!
