When someone at work is talking to you and they are going on and on and on and it's really interesting but all you can think is 'don't vom, don't vom, please don't vom'...first day today or feeling morning sick I think...

@Missyjones80s That has been me as well all morning today 😁 Along with zoning out to what they are saying altogether to think "Can I really make it through today?!"

I nearly told my boss today, but as I'm only 8 weeks tomorrow I know it's still early.

I ended up blurting it out to one of my colleagues today
Hadn't planned to but she was the 3rd person who said I looked tired (I'm back from a few days off so thought I looked more rested)
I trust her and she's the one who counts sick/annual leave days so it's probably better she knows now and I don't eat up annual leave with appointments etc

Feeling more queasy today still haven't actually vomited yet though TG
Smells make me nauseous, as does hunger
My sisters had MS really bad (2 were hospitalised) so I assumed it would be the same for me
I'm taking pregnacare max and there's lots of B vitamins in it, do you think it's helping?
I'm 8 weeks tomorrow so might still get worse

I'm craving chippy cheesy chips all the time! Cheese gotta be completely melted though 😍

I've just convinced myself I can smell warm waffles and now that's all I crave. Not the easiest thing to come by when you're at work!

Hello all ...not posted since BFP but have been reading along every day! Not sure where I'm up to as was having irregular/longish cycles. Technically I'm 8 weeks but really I know I'm only 6 and a half.

Feeling a bit anxious as I have first midwife appointment this afternoon. Is it stupid to do a test before I go just because I feel like it's all in my head?!

Also shitting myself that I'll get to the scan next month and there won't be a heartbeat and all of this will have been for nothing.

Had a mad urge to get chicken and bacon pasta before from Asda...the really cheap one that tastes a bit vinegary. It was amazing

Just a quick update.

Was a little bit more blood when I wiped so I phoned midwife. She cancelled my booking in today and arranged a reassurance scan on Monday at 9am and rearranged booking in for next Thursday instead, all things going well on the scan.

I have a private scan booked for Saturday and I'm not sure whether to cancel this or just go and find out the bad news rather than wait all weekend fretting....

Seven of nine I've had a scan and seen heartbeat but still convinced there won't be one at my next one in a few weeks. The first trimester is so scary! *

Disinterested* sorry to hear that. I would still go to private scan and see what they say. Hopefully it'll just be some breakthrough bleeding and baby will be fine. Some people just seem to bleed so might be ok.

Midwife called me and after chatting to the GP has sent me up to A&E with concerns of an ectopic. I've just been seen by triage and waiting on bloods and what the gyny (sp?)want to do with me.

Hopefully I'll get a scan today and put me out of my misery. I'm actually not too worried and feel pretty positive... fingers crossed:)

@Disinterested yeah I think I'd go to the private scan too
The waiting is the worst

It's probably nothing to worry about but at least you'd not be worrying all weekend

Thinking of you disinterested glad you don't now have to make decision on when to have scan and you can find out what's going on now. Glad you are feeling positive and I hope all goes well. Do you have any pain at all?

Disinterested, hope all goes well in a&e today and you get a scan that reassures everything is fine. Sorry you've been going through this but it looks like you have a great midwife. If it's only very mild cramping and a bit of spotting I wouldn't be too worried.

I'm also scared there'll be nothing there when I get to scan. Still no sickness for me just sore and big boobs - I've gone up 2 cup sizes! I've been so slow - I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow and I only just filled out the self referral form for antenatal care yesterday so no scan or booking appt dates yet for me. Really hope this sticks.

As said this is our 4th, we have a 11YO, 4YO and 2YO, a girl and two boys. I have bad morning sickness (had it with both boys) which sets my anxiety off a bit.
A couple of you have mentioned anxiety/depression. I suffer with both and am also on Sertraline to combat these. So I have a little experience in that field.
Hoping for everyone our beans stick and wave a hello at the scans xx

HG update- had a booking appt with midwife who weighed me and I've lost 12 lb in 4 weeks. No ketones though. Spoke to GP who was astonished I had been prescribed ondansetron and made me feel awful about it. I explained to her I tried calling GP weeks ago but they didn't call back then I went away did weekend for wedding and a GP & midwife at wedding saw I was suffering badly and wrote me a private prescription. My GP said "highly irregular" to which I replied "what the fuck was I supposed to do, I couldn't keep anything down! AND I tried to call you guys!" She opened up the call logs from that day 2 weeks ago and my name was on the list but I hadn't been called back. It clearly showed I hadn't been called. GP was then very apologetic and prescribed cyclizine and ondansetron. I am furious.

How is everyone today feeling today!! I'm so tired. Was looking forward to a day off today though take my DD to school come back home clean up and get Olin the couch and stay there all day but no. Got called into work ( we are only a small office with 5 of us in) some one had to go home. My boss already Nos about pregnancy as I've had scans and bloods so had to have time off now I'm on the couch and don't want to move lol xxx

haily I also have anxiety, specifically health anxiety this is my first time pregnant and seem to be keeping it under control so far apart from last weekend when I did the gardening and then read about toxoplasmosis so spent an hour freaking out lol

I'm back from my scan and am pleased to say I saw the heartbeat! They don't seem to know why I've been bleeding and having cramps but my cervix was closed so they were not concerned at all! They did note I had a lot of bowel gas

Bean is measuring a week smaller than I'd have hoped for (thought I was 8w 1, scan said 6.5w and internal scan said 7w), and there is no way I'm wrong on my dates - LMP 12/04 and DTD on 30/04.... but I'm not worried about that as I've looked and apparently being a week or so behind is normal?!

I'm just so relieved I couldn't tell you! Thanks again for your concern and kind words :)

How can I convince my husband that spending £30 on a Doppler Is s great idea and wouldn't leave me more worried as he seems to think.
