I have reassurance scan on Wednesday.

I work in Gyn ward as a staff nurse we had loads of girls in for scans today luckily all fine with wee heartbeats so reassuring but hope it's not gave me false hope !!

Morning all.

I awoke this morning to the strangest gurgling/bubbling in my lower abdomen. I usually get this before I come on so was a little concerned as to what it is. Any anybody experienced this before? I am 6w6d.

Last night was also the first night I didn't get up to pee and my boobs don't feel sore anymore :(

Writing all of this down makes it sound worse. Could the worst have happened?

Disinterested- I feel exactly the same this morning, feel like all my symptoms have totally gone and feeling quite freaked out. 6 weeks today, such a long wait until my scan! It's torture isn't it. This is my second and I feel totally different this time which isn't helping

It's such a worry, kdd. I will confess to being very negative since I first found out, to the frustration of my partner, and have almost convinced myself that the worst is inevitable. I think it's a coping mechanism of mine.

I finally got my 3+ on clearblue yesterday and told myself that I'd worry less seeing as my hormones are going the right way!

Here's hoping we are just being paranoid xx

I'm worried because I was hoping for a 3+ today but got another 2-3 on the clear blue. Can I ask how far along you are? I'm 5+2.......

disinterested I'm 6 weeks 5 days and I've been getting what you describe for the past week. I also have the strangest tugging behind my belly button. I think hope this is normal

Weasledee, indeed! I am 6w6d and I also worried because I didn't get my 3+ sooner! Took until yesterday to get it and was momentarily thrilled but now I'm worried as my symptoms have gone...

Hi weasle, I got my 3+ yesterday and am 5 + 4 today so only just ahead of you. So maybe it just needs another couple of days?

Try to put the sticks down. Symptoms will come and go and the first trimester is horrible for making you feel all over the place with it all. As hard as it is, try to enjoy a day free of them xx

Disinterested the gurgles and rumblings and weird feelings and mild cramps I've had could fill a book, and I'm pretty certain it's all down to the fact that my digestion isn't working properly (progesterone does that)! That came on for me in week 5 and I still have it in week 9 (sometimes I'm so bloated and full I look about 5 months lol) so it could be that for you. And aside from confirming pregnancy, those sticks are not very accurate; only a HCG blood test can accurately track your levels, so don't worry about those either. As PolkaDotFlamingo says, try to step away from the sticks!

Hi all, been off MN for a couple of days over the BH. Glad to hear all is well with peoples scans etc.

My spotting has eased off thankfully, still the odd bit here and there but nothing to how it was.

8 weeks tomorrow, still no booking appointment but my scan is on 28th June, the day I go on holiday! Not sure if that's a good thing, might see if we can afford a private scan before then. They are about 90 quid where I live annoyingly.

I've also felt like symptoms gone. Nausea has increased but sore boobs gone. More light spotting yesterday but none so far today. Got my vbooking in today and private scan on Saturday. I'm so worried it'll be bad news. The week is dragging already.

To those symptom spotting and second-guessing, I looked back at my diary from my first pregnancy (I wrote in it daily, I was obsessed!) and it was very clear that by 6 weeks + I had some days when I didn't feel any symptoms at all, and others when all kinds of stuff was going on, a lot of which felt a lot like pre-period stuff. This is only natural cos it's all the same hormones and going on in the same part of your body! I hope this is reassuring - it all came and went constantly. The only times you 100% know all is well is when you're looking at what's happening in there on a scan screen, and then from about 25+ weeks (for me anyway) when you start feeling the baby move. Until then it's all very annoying and frankly the best you can do is keep living your life and try to stay distracted!

To those whose symptoms have gone, i had the exact question a couple of days ago... And after a few days of break they came back with a vengeance...I know it is hard, but do try to enjoy them and hope all is well.

Hi everyone could I get your opinion on something?

I'm 9 weeks today, scan is in 3 weeks. DH isn't coming for a few reasons, it's miles away from his work to start with and slap bang in the middle of he say. Self employed so would miss a days wages which we just can't afford at the moment.

I'm absolutely fine with this.

I was going to ask my friend, she can definitely come. Or I was just going to bring my eldest son who already knows about the baby. He's 10.

I really would like to take my eldest son instead (I can't take both him and my friend as there's no enough room, she has a LO as well).
Obviously the bad thing would be if there was something wrong.

My youngest (6) doesn't know and I don't want to tell him until I have the results for Downs and Edwards etc so about a week after the scan. I'd like DS to be able to keep quiet I think he can.

Got my 3+ today and I'm 5+4 by my reckoning so I'm guessing things are progressing as they should. I have a really weird pain in the left side of my back though which is a little worrying. I hate this 1st bit. Just thinking this back ache might be just what I get when I'm pregnant but I had it quite bad when I mc in march. Thinking of perhaps seeing the gp in the morning to see if I can be refered for an early scan.

NoOne It might not be an option at all but I moved my scan to the end of the day last time so I wouldn't miss a day of work. I don't think I'd take a 10 year old just in case something was wrong. Not sure how you/they would handle that and it would make a hard situation harder. I would go with the friend. Don't assume their LO can come in though, here they're very strict on one person only, doesn't matter how old they are xx

I would take your friend and not DS. For some reason I thought you couldn't take a child in with you for a scan. I thought it had said this on the letter but might be wrong and different hospitals may be different.

Had my booking in appointment today and it makes it feel slightly more real. I felt really nervous in the waiting room, I was thinking back to the last time I was there 16 years ago and got a bit scared at the thought of doing everything all over again. Even though it's what we want its going to be a major adjustment and I think today I started to realise just how much things are going to change!

9+1 and just threw up all my lunch. I'm still off sick with the flu so could vomit in peace rather than trying to be discrete/running to the toilets at work in front of my colleagues!

My flu combined with my pregnancy nausea has meant I've lost 2.5kg which I'm secretly pleased about but worried I need to make sure I'm feeding baby and getting enough nutrients and fluids. Any recommendations?

wow thanks mills, 129 lets hope were not all picking the same hospital. Sorry your feeling rough, maybe something light a fruit/veg smoothie?

disinterested all my symptoms have come and go this pg. I had a scan at 7+3 and pretty much convinced myself it wasn't going to be ok because I had such mild symptoms and sometimes none at all (nausea and boob ache stopped completely for 2-3 days before the scan) but baby was fine... now I'm 8+2 and 🤢!

weasldee I got 2-3 at 5+3, tested again at 6w and got 3+. Baby is fine and my dates are spot on. I think cb digi are quite inaccurate and also hcg levels in healthy pregnancies vary dramatically from woman to woman so I wouldn't worry
