Anyone else getting headaches?

Eva30 · 25/05/2017 14:26

rose and bee I'm the same as you 5+4 - have you told anyone yet? We haven't but its on the tip of my tongue when I speak to family and I have to hold myself back Grin

rememberpurpleronnie · 25/05/2017 14:57

Anyone else showing??! I'm only 7+3 but may have to tell work sooner than planned! Baby no 2. Might just be bloat but it's ridiculous- I look similar to how I looked about 15weeks last time Confused

DooWhaaDiddy · 25/05/2017 15:07

remember, apparently baby number two showed sooner as out muscle are more, lets say, relaxed from baby number 1 Grin

NoOneLikesACrispyTowel · 25/05/2017 15:08

It's just bloat remember a baby at 7 weeks is the size of your thumb nail at this point.

But yes, I have bloat as well. It will calm down soon hopefully!

rememberpurpleronnie · 25/05/2017 15:09

Yes but your uterus is around the size of an orange (according to an app I have, not a reliable source)! Or maybe there's more than one....

millsbynight · 25/05/2017 15:50

@DooWhaaDiddy yes to headaches! Almost every day. Quite normal apparently as hormones create an imbalance.

And yes to showing @rememberpurpleronnie ! I have embraced the hair tie loop around the button this week Blush I can still zip and button up my jeans but just getting really uncomfortable when I sit down or in them for a long time.

Had my booking-in appointment today! I was BOILING at the hospital. So hot in London today. The hospital was stuffy and sweaty and I almost passed out after answering questions for an hour in the midwife office. Makes me really happy that I'm not going to be heavily pregnant in the summer months or giving birth when it's 30C!

But come winter our big bellys and growing babies will keep us extra warm Smile

doowhaa yes headaches here. Struggling without being able to take ibuprofen, and I don't think this heat helps.

I had my early scan yesterday, I am under 6 weeks so too early for a heart beat but all looked as it should do 😊

PolkaDotFlamingo · 25/05/2017 16:27

I had early bloat last time that never went away and it's so much earlier this time. I don't think it'll go away again so I'm going to have to wear tents for the next 6 weeks.

itsgoingtoofast · 25/05/2017 16:32

That's great news acquiescence!

I have headaches too.

I had my scan this morning, measuring 7+3 just as I hoped and saw a heartbeat. So good to see!

They did say that there was an area of implantation bleeding and I may experience spotting or a gush of blood. Or it may disappear. She is scanning me again in a fortnight to check. She didn't say anything else about it so I'm not sure if it's something I should be worried about or not? Has anyone heard of this? Obviously I am worrying now despite not being too bad at the time! I'm wondering if I should be doing anything differently....

She also said that she could see a cyst on one of my ovaries but it was only 2cm so they won't do anything with it!

Waitingonasmile · 25/05/2017 16:40

I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow and feeling pretty normal. Sore boobs and that's about it. Got a scan next week and incredibly nervous. Hate that wait to hear the news.

Thingymaboob · 25/05/2017 16:45

@itsgoingtoofast glad your scan went well. The cyst is normal. I have one too. It produces the hormones required to support pregnancy. It's disappears during first trimester.

My scan showed normal growth (7 weeks now) and a heartbeat again. So relieved after bleeding brown this week.

itsgoingtoofast · 25/05/2017 16:48

Thanks @Thingymaboob, that's reassuring! Never heard of that before.

I am so glad to hear that your scan went well too. What a relief. It's such a worrying time!

hutch2016 · 25/05/2017 16:52

Hi All

I'm hopefully due around 31st December, suffered a MMC in January 2017 so a bag of nerves!
Currently strugglying with the heat today anyone else?
My acne cleared up just before i fell pregnant and now i have two massive zits on my chin, should i be worried?
No nausea yet, but i do have a tummy like steel so not suprised!
Anyone else feeling the same?

pickledsausage · 25/05/2017 16:55

@doowhaa yes to headaches! Every couple of days at the moment. Have been using a little stick called 4head to help relieve it.

@itsgoing they found a sac of blood at my scan too, said it was either burst blood vessel or a twin that didn't develop but he said he wasn't worried and that if I bled that would explain it.

My boobs are definitely less sore at the moment which is making me worry as it's about this time that I would have had missed miscarriage last time :( I've been feeling so positive up until now. I'm trying to just tell myself it's normal and these things come and go

Thingymaboob · 25/05/2017 16:56

@itsgoingtoofast look up corpus luteum cyst. It's a functional cyst.

itsgoingtoofast · 25/05/2017 17:13

Thanks so much @Thingymaboob and @pickledsausage that makes me feel much better. I really should have asked this morning, but my mind was blank!

Roseandbee · 25/05/2017 18:02

Hi Eva30 (my mums called eva, lovely name) I've told both sets of parents, may tell my best friend when I see her next week as she knew I was struggling ttc, then everyone else I guess 12 weeks although maybe brothers and sisters a bit earlier. When are you planning to tell people?

I've been getting head aches found a cold compress helped lots (was too scared to take paracetamol)

I'm also super bloated all the time and look pregnant or maybe just fat.

Glad to hear everyone's scans are going well, think I'll be doing one next week at either 6+4 or 7 weeks #decisions

mrsb87 · 25/05/2017 18:39

Evening all! 7+2 today and have appointment with the GP tomorrow to book me in with midwives. That only took 2 weeks! Nausea is causing me to be really off my food, vomiting once a day atm and that's after starting the antisickness meds early!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 25/05/2017 19:25

I'm just going to put this out there because I'm probably being silly but reassurance is needed. I'm 5+4 and seem to be having some shooting pain on my left side near my hip area. I was okay with this as it dwindled down and I put it down to everything adjusting slightly. Now I'm getting a bit worried. It happens when I move suddenly and I'm probably being stupid because I haven't been bleeding/no painful cramping, I just haven't been pregnant before and don't know what to expect Confused It's not excruciatingly horrible but it's sudden if that makes sense.

Fattycowagain · 25/05/2017 19:27

I have a cyst too. Nothing to worry about and quite common. Mine is 4cm at the moment. They will just keep an eye on it to see if it grows, but aren't concerned one bit.

acquiescence · 25/05/2017 19:57

itsgoing I had some blood visible at my recent scan and had the same with my last pregnancy, they also said it was implantation bleeding. Last time I had some brown bleeding a few weeks down the line which quickly passed so I'm anticipating the same thing again.

WLMcI · 25/05/2017 19:58

Unicorn is it in your hip (on the side), or in your abdomen at hip level (to the front)? If it's in the hip, it's probably muscular or ligament stretching. A lot of things start stretching and moving around the pelvis as the uterus has to go somewhere! (I had this all to one side in first pregnancy, as I have a slightly imbalanced hip and the left side muscles are tighter.) However, if the pains are to the front, and always on the same side of your body, you might feel better speaking with a MW or GP. Not to worry you, as ectopics are actually very rare, but for reassurance that it definitely isn't one! Smile It's a complete head-melt being pregnant, particularly when it's your first and you're like "wait, that's a thing? I had no idea XYZ existed!" Grin

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 25/05/2017 20:17

WLMcl I'd say more nearer the hip, lower part of it. But when it hurts it's like a shooting pain that goes downwards. It doesn't last very long but you know, better to be safe than sorry!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 25/05/2017 20:18

Sorry I forgot to say. It's the front of my hip
