Carlotta since reading your thing about cornflakes now I can't stop thinking about crunchy nut. We don't have any in so I might pop to the shop before Work to get some.

Scots and meeshel I hope you feel better soon!!

Oysterbabe · 19/05/2017 07:57

Place marking on new thread.
Yesterday's scan put me at 9 weeks when I'd thought I was 7+4. It definitely looked more developed than 7 weeks, I could see feet and it was moving. New due date 21st December. I'm seeing the midwife on Monday. I'm sure my due date will change again at 12 week scan.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 19/05/2017 08:09

@Mrsbluebell17 I've been waking up anytime between 3-6am most days too! Utterly knackered for the rest of the day after that! Could you not call the hospital maternity ward and ask if you could possibly go through scan dates with them? I did that and they were absolutely fine - we chose a time and date together that suited. Takes the mystery and worry out of it then.

@Oysterbabe Lucky you! My first TV scan (to rule out ectopic) was absolutely spot on at 7+3 but when I had my 2nd TV scan (clot scare) at 8+5 it was 3 days under the mean size so of course that worries me. I know at that stage the measurements aren't absolutely accurate and that the smallest deviation can cause days off, but it doesn't stop me worrying. (Naively, I'm sure) I'd rather bigger than smaller, if you know what I mean!

My cravings have been absolutely all over the place! Tuna cheese melt was all I could think of for a whole week at 6-7 weeks, then McDonald's apple pie (had to be McD) for another few days. All clearly very healthy choices! Confused

Aversions on the other hand have NOT been fun - can't stand being in the same room as red wine, whiskey or Tabasco (3 of my favourite things) and a certain carex handwash or garlic being cooked is enough to send me running! Shock

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 19/05/2017 08:10

@ScotsLamb & @Meeshel29 - hope you feel better soon. Not fun when you can't take meds to help, is it?!

Brens13 · 19/05/2017 08:12

Had a dream last night that I ate two whole cucumbers! Not quite as saucy as Monty's but I suspect it's my body telling me to eat more vegetables. Though I woke up feeling like I had, so that sort of backfired Grin

Oysterbabe · 19/05/2017 08:18

Oh and with my first I felt fluttering at 18 weeks and proper kicks at 20. DH could feel them at 22 weeks.

Oysterbabe · 19/05/2017 08:21

bikerchick I don't think a few days is anything to worry about at all but I know what you mean, I probably still would. You'll be fine.

Lixon · 19/05/2017 09:18

Good luck to those with scans this morning. Thinking of you (which is also helping to distract me!). Mine is at 5.30 and holding out for limbs and movement (hopefully will be 10w) but obviously not entirely optimistic.

Oyster babe, that's great news on your scan - id be very happy (if confused!) if I managed to skip a week through this rubbish trimester!

I have mostly just been exhausted this week, massively stressful week at work and so insomnia has been even worse than usual combined with early starts and late nights (although my appraisal and the event I was worrying about went very well so I really shouldn't have been so anxious..)

I hope those with sickness are starting to get through the worst of it..

LapinR0se · 19/05/2017 09:33

Tried to join this thread lots of times yesterday but it wouldn't go through and I thought oh no what if this is some kind of omen??

So let's hope this message posts.

Signing in at 8+5, been sick twice this week and nauseous since the beginning. Trying to decide what I can manage to eat this morning as opening the fridge makes me gag.

LapinR0se · 19/05/2017 09:33

Yes it posted! Whoop! Am back in the club

StumpyScot92 · 19/05/2017 09:37

Good luck for your scan appointments today ladies!

A colleague was talking about how his gran's nipple basically crumbled and fell off breastfeeding her youngest kid... so naturally I googled the possibility and it does (very) occasionally happen. So guess what I had very very vivid dreams about last night!

Zaberwocky · 19/05/2017 09:38

I can't believe we're on thread number five! I need to catch up.

I've been continually sick since a couple of nights ago Sad so it looks like the sickness tablets lasted around 8 days before my body became immune to them I guess. Currently in bed. I just feel like I'm losing it, l can't handle this for much longer.

On top of that my dad has signed himself off sick from work for a couple of months due to memory loss, my cousin is suffering with severe depression and getting zero help, and I just feel so guilty that I'm so far away and can't support either of them how I'd like to be able to. I swear the hormones make me feel more irrationally guilty!

CarlottaJo · 19/05/2017 09:46

Sending love to everyone and also so relieved I have you all to reassure me feeling slightly mental, sick, not vegetable consuming and generally a bit crap is not just me xxx

Brens13 · 19/05/2017 09:49

Agreed Carlotta I particularly enjoyed last Friday when it seemed that every single one of us was having takeaway of some description. Grin It's been really nice to have people to share worries and news with, when we're having to keep it a secret from so many others. xx

glastogal · 19/05/2017 09:53

Morning all.. today I'm starting a new mission. I have a hamster in my belly (12 weeks today) and I'm going to feed it fruit and veg and nuts and seeds!! Also, I have been painfully constipated for a week and my diet is not helping. So it's time for operation poop 💩 Apple juice is about to go down the hatch.

Hope all the scans go well today and the sickness passes for those of you suffering.

A hamster! How exciting! That's a real thing Grin I'm with you! I did buy a massive innocent juice concoction to have with my bag of onion rings and fruit pastille lollies yesterday Blush

Angielka · 19/05/2017 10:02

Sounds like you're going through a Terrible time zabe Sad sending you lots of sick free vibes and strength to deal with all the challenges

Scan went perfectly this morningSmile all baby shaped and normal nuchal fold and heart beating away ❤️

Feel like a weight has been lifted. 2 vomit-free days this week, 12 weeks tomorrow. Light at the end of the tunnel!! Grin

LapinR0se · 19/05/2017 10:06

Oh no zaber can they change your meds at all?

glastogal · 19/05/2017 10:09

I think it's a dinky hamster Carlotta 😆😆 but still!! I love onion rings.. I have eaten a packet or two lately (along with every other kind of crisp!)

Zaberwocky · 19/05/2017 10:35

Thank you Angielka, beautiful scan picture, and Lapin (I'm glad it's not just me that couldn't post on anything yesterday!)

I just don't think anyone knows what to do with me anymore Sad I might try the cyclizine again for a couple of days to see if that helps at all. I'm trying so hard to cram fruit and veg in, I'm hoping it's doing some good.

Brens13 · 19/05/2017 10:44

Lovely pic Angielka x

TipTop333 · 19/05/2017 11:39

Congratulations Angielka! A lovely pic too to round off the excellent news.

Angielka · 19/05/2017 11:41
