Hi everyone, had a busy half term so haven't been around much! Really pleased to hear of good scan news though for people.
Went pram shopping today because considering getting it early so we can get some use of it with dd (first one broke and just use a buggy now) but what a nightmare! She only let us go near pink ones and got very annoyed at removal seats! It also left me even more clueless about what to get. The one thing I am definite on though is that I'm not spending a ridiculous amount of money. Some of these are extortionate!

Oh and just a reminder that if anyone else wants to join the fb group then drop me a pm with your email address and I'll add you.

MontyPants · 04/06/2017 18:26

Hi all, haven't been on for a couple of days, just been so tired! Congratulations to everyone who's had a scan or good tests etc. I'm 14+1 and the exhaustion is still here. I woke up at 9am, started reading as DH was still asleep, and I nodded off again. Woken up by DH telling me he was making lunch. Ate lunch, fell asleep on the sofa! Just managed to take the dogs for a quick walk and I've retreated back to the sofa for the evening! Yawn.

CarlottaJo · 04/06/2017 18:43

@Zaberwocky the ones I got from NEXT clearance are nice, and very cheap!

Zaberwocky · 04/06/2017 18:47

Ohhhhh. I'm going to take a peak Carlotta Grin

Is anyone doing a Father's Day card from the bump? Or is that way too corny?

TootsyBella84 · 04/06/2017 18:51

Zaber it was cyclizine I was on but they stopped working, I'm now taking Ondansetron alongside cyclizine.

Zaberwocky · 04/06/2017 19:09

I've ordered the cutest little jumper Blush it's almost identical to DH's favourite Christmas jumper.

Looks like we're celebrating fathers day!

mamalovesviolet · 04/06/2017 19:43

For those planning nurseries I really rate (slightly, hmmm, ok quite a lot ludicrously expensive) Little Hands Wallpaper!

glastogal · 04/06/2017 19:50

I've been planning my nursery too.. I even have paint samples on the walls Grin we're going for a space theme and are going for a wall sticker that looks like the wall has been punched through to reveal planets on the other side. Sounds weird but it looks really cool. My mum is making a space cot mobile!!

@glastogal you're definitely our cool one, Glastonbury and space explosions Wink Love it :) x

glastogal · 04/06/2017 20:06

Haha - thanks @CarlottaJo but I can guarantee you I'm not!! Glastonbury is full of nerds Wink as is my house!!

Just got dragged out for dinner at the pub. Was very nice actually. But DH knocked his pint over and I was covered. Looks like I've wet myself! 😳 And I now stink of Peroni 🍺

MontyPants · 04/06/2017 20:25

Ahhh Mama I love that! We're having a big wall sticker too like Glasto but nothing as cool as explosions and planets!

glastogal · 04/06/2017 20:55

That's not cool Monty, having to smell like beer when you can't enjoy one!! What kind of sticker are you having? I would have loved Winnie the Pooh to be honest, but the space theme is a nod to DP's interests.. hopefully it will come out well!!

Mrsbluebell17 · 04/06/2017 20:55

Zaber love seeing all your purchases. So far we bought a little teddy comforter thing, some muslin cloths and a little blanket thing.
Oh and I'm studying a business course - should be finished before baby arrives.

Carlotta that Pod is stunning!!
Love your choices too on decor.

Ooooh yes tiptop ill message you to join the group now.

Think we're going for stars in the nursery Grin

Mrsbluebell17 · 04/06/2017 20:59

Anyone else watching the One Love Manchester concert? Tears a plenty - what a totally incredible show of support for our nation. ❤️

glastogal · 04/06/2017 21:21

carlotta I love love love that cloud theme you got going on!! Your nursery is going to be mega cute Grin

Lixon · 04/06/2017 21:40

Oh my god, loving all the nursery stuff. Not buying anything until after 20 weeks I think but will be bookmarking everything. Loving the clouds and do you have a link to your space sticker Glasto? it does sound very cool!

There's a Facebook thread about all the crying for One Love!

Poor you Monty, id be so unimpressed with the beer spillage! Hopefully you can get back to bed soon..

Tootsy I really hope the medication works this time round, you've had such a tough time.

Zaber, excellent haul!! I love that your husband is getting really into it 😀

Carlotta, beautiful bed but I'm sorry you're feeling so anxious. I've tried a few times and definitely can't feel anything yet and no problem finding it on a scan, in case it helps you feel better. Hopefully you get some sleep in the coming days. X

Thank you everyone for your kind words, I'm getting my head around having a little boy - I always wanted an older brother so thought I'd like a boy first but my last terminated pregnancy was a little girl so feelings are a bit complex. Saw some very cute sea creature outfits today though! Entirely unsuccessful in terms of maternity clothes for me though..

Lixon - this is the sticker we want and the link, there are loads of similar designs but this goes best with out colour scheme!!

Sea creature outfits sound amazing.. where did you see those?

Yep I wasn't impressed but DH was mortified and treated me to a big pudding to make up for it 😁 I'm now back where I belong on the sofa 👍🏻

Glasto I want a mural of some sort but in sticker-form. Like a jungle or farmyard or something else interesting for baby. Nothing too gender-specific though. Winnie the Pooh does sound very cute but at least the planets will last a long time before you have to redecorate.

MotherofUnicorns · 04/06/2017 22:01

Hi everyone - just catching up. It's been a crazy half term week - my sister had her first baby on Thursday, just as i was having myscan! SO i've been visiting her and helping her with all the breastfeeding etc - it is bringing it all back to me!!
She had to have a c section as there was meconium in her waters i.e. baby had pooed inside the womb. All totally fine now but the recovery is going to be a few weeks i think. Whoever thinks sections are the easy option is wrong!!
Those looking at double buggies - i can recommend the city jogger side by side. I had it when mine were 20months apart and put dd2 in there from birth with a head support. It was so easy to push around and it went in normal sized doors and on buses and everything.

This time i think i am going for the babyzen yoyo as well - just for ease and size really.

My sister also swears by her 'sleepyhead' which is something that wasn't around when i had my first 2 so i hadn't heard of it but google it!

Oysterbabe · 04/06/2017 22:07

I have a sleepyhead and snuzpod. DD slept in those for about 7 months so will be using again.
Thanks for the buggy recommendation, it's on the shortlist.

Lixon · 04/06/2017 22:12

What an exciting week mother of unicorns, I hope all goes smoothly with your dister's recovery. Thanks for all the advice! I'd like 2 close together because of my husband's age but given it's taken us 3 years to (not quite) get one, I think a double buggy is probably a bit presumptuous!

Ooh thank you glasto, that sticker is amazing! And just seen all the other linked ones too, choosing a theme is going to be so hard!! Next, M&S and jojo maman Bebe all had cute stuff, not sure how I'll hold off buying anything for much longer..

Miami81 · 04/06/2017 22:15

Hi all.
Congrats to all on fabby scans and gender reveals. All very exciting.
I am having a funny symptom today. Funny stabbing pains in my bum (sorry I know this is way tmi) but it's kind of freaking me out.
Successful bra shopping today. I am dreading nursing bras, so refusing to go non underwire yet. I am a 34gg or h, so really really need that wire. Found an awesome really soft one in bravissimo. It only took trying on around 20 bras. My boobs are not happy now with all the messing around done with them.
I have a plan forming in my head for a rainbow themed nursery. It will be our rainbow baby so seems fitting.
My pal has just had a new baby and they have a snooze pod, she has already offered it to me, timing should work out perfectly.

CarlottaJo · 04/06/2017 22:36

I like the look of the sleepyheads but shall not be spending £180 on one! Anyone know of any cheaper alternatives? X

MontyPants · 04/06/2017 23:19

Miami my bra size twin! My boobs have a mind of their own at the minute and are pushing into an H cup tbh but I'm trying to resist. However, I have some brilliant maternity bras from mothercare! They're not underwired and they're still great. Pop in and give them a go!
