Due to recent sad news and at the suggestion of others, I have started this new thread. Let's hear everyone's news.......

PMSL Fio, it was DP mainly who had to know, but I desperately wanted to know by today. Am slightly dissapointed in my intuitive powers though - was totally totally convinced it was ds2. Could still be proved right though!

Oh lovely Fio, says it is free on orders over 250 (which, ahem, it would be!). Is the pramette the one you got? I shall save that page to favourites.

More good news about scans, excellent, well done all.
Can't believe some of you are choosing buggies etc - how organised. I am still putting up curtains after the move.
Saw the midwife today and heard the heartbeat - huzzah! Didn't realise how nervous I was. Am feeling much better - though still jealous of those of you who've had their scans - I'm having to wait til 23 weeks...

Just updating the list as the Fetal Medicine Centre have changed my appt. to a much more inconvenient time but 1 day earlier so not all bad . FMC definitely will tell you the sex, they did for my first pregnancy and for a friend of mine as well.

Huge congratulations to all who have had good news from their scans, I am green with envy (how exciting, never used that emoticon before!!).

Shall we agree to start a new thread when we hit over 1000 posts?? Anyone think of a good thread title? How about "Due in Sept 2007 - Part 4 - the biggest Antenatal club EVER"

Evening All,

Sorry, I don't seem to get to log on very often and when I do I spend so much time catching up I don't get chance to respond. There are lots of bits I've wanted to respond to but I wouldn't want to risk going on forever....

ccpink - sorry to hear about your mum. It must be a very worrying time for you all. Everything's crossed. It looks like you're quite local to me - I'm having all my scans etc at Northampton at the moment but if we get the house we like I'll have to transfer to Kettering.

I'm glad all the scans are going well so far -so many girls We had our scan today which was amazing. All's well with the baby who was very active. It looks like we're having another biggy though - measurements are already over the 97th centile so no newborn clothes for me. Still have a tiny bump so not sure where I'm hiding the baby really. Fingers crossed it won't put pay to my ideas of a natural birth. We didn't find out the sex as we like the surprise.

Fio- your consultant sounds great. I hope mine's as nice when I next see him.

Hopeitwontbebig - your birthday's the day before mine. Such a great time of year. Sorry to hear your husband won't be there for it though. We'll have to remember to send you lots of birthday hugs on the day. I like you am very precious about birthdays and think they should be celebrated in style Maybe you could just spread the celebrations out until your husband returns and have an extra long birthday?

Flossalump - congrats on your girl bump. We bought the pramette for DD1 and still use it now. We've been really pleased.

Good luck to all those with scans coming up.

GiveMeMoreMash · 24/04/2007 20:46

Hi All,

I was only on here last night, couldn't believe how many posts to catch up on!

Flossalump - I just bought the M & P Pliko pramette (my shameful Ebay purchase!). It seems fine, I've converted it from the pushchair into the pram and had a wheel about the garden with it. I wanted to take the cat out for a test drive in it but dh wouldn't let me! . I've never bought one before so I'm not really much good as a critic but I read a few internt reviews from people that have bought it and everyone seems to give it a big thumbs up.

I would recommend having a look on Ebay, there are new ones as well as second hand ones on there so you may be able to pick up a bargain. Mine was second hand but it looks just like new and came in the original box with the instructions (luckily, else we wouldn't have stood a chance!!) and all the extras.

Starting a new thread once we get to a 1000 sounds like a good idea. At the current rate it won't be long!

Nicki10 · 24/04/2007 20:51

Thought I would put my preliminary result down after yesterdays scan and I am certain that it was right with a girl. I hope so as it's always been my dream to have 3 girls!. I have gone mad in Baby Gap and brought 3 dresses, 2 swimming costumes, romper suits, sun hats and a flowery coat! . Couldn't resist though.

Hopeitwontbetoobig sorry to hear your DH will be away for your birthday but if it was me it would mean that you can defineatly justify a double celebration. A lovely meal out and an early present the day before he goes and then another meal and lots of present the day he gets back!.

There does seem to be a lot of girls due this September but i did read in my pregnancy and birth magazine that scientists have just proven that you are more likely to concieve a boy in the hot months and girls in the cooler months so maybe that has something to do with it.

Has anybody done the chinese gender predictor test and seen whether it was right? Mine was spot on and my friends NCT group did it after they had all had theirs and it was 100% accurate!.

MrsFish · 24/04/2007 21:01

i did it and it said I was going to have a girl this time round... only three weeks till we find out if it was correct

poppy34 · 24/04/2007 21:10

at 12 week scan thought it was a boy (and must say thats what I think it is) but only a week or so til we see if that is still what it looks like.

don't actually mind if its a girl except for the fact I have no names...

LoopyLouLisa · 24/04/2007 21:31

I'm very much a natural blonde! can you tell me what the chinese gender test is please?

Hopeitwontbebig · 25/04/2007 09:37

Good luck Sprakly for your scan today!!!!!!

Nicki10, thanks for your excellent advice re my birthday, you're all definitely right!!!

That's very interesting about the conceiving in colder months gender thing.

I've just done this gender prediction test and it was correct for DS1, correct for DS2 and it's predicted a girl this time.... oooooooooooooh. Be interesting to see how accurate it is for anyone else... just a bit of fun really!! I didn't change the timezone thingy, I didn't know what to put!

Canadianmum, great thread name.... let's do it!

EdieMcredie · 25/04/2007 09:40

Congratulations all of you on your scans! I can't wait for that reassurance. Good luck for today Sprakly.

We have picked our stroller, a britax trekker. Tis lovely!

Im off work today because of a rib injury (chronic) im also having to have physio and codiene pain killers!

Hope you are all well. Im off to Barbados in two weeks and by the time I get back we will be at the end of May with not long til September!! Does anyone else think it is going really quickly now? The first 12 weeks seemed to drag.

EdieMcredie · 25/04/2007 09:44

What do you put in for time zone?

Hopeitwontbebig · 25/04/2007 09:48

Hi Edie, I didn't do anything with the time zone. Still seemed to work

Hopeitwontbebig · 25/04/2007 09:48

What did you do to your ribs Edie??

MrsFish · 25/04/2007 10:00

I have done the test again as it was different to the other one I did and it has said the same that it is a girl. Will be very interested to find out the result

Hopeitwontbebig · 25/04/2007 10:06

Which one did you do before MrsFish?

LoopyLouLisa · 25/04/2007 11:50

HIWBB- I've just done the test and it says girl, but i checked ds1 and it says he was a girl too! oops x

Rin23 · 25/04/2007 13:20

OMG you have got me obsessed with doing these tests now. All are saying girl...
