Don't get me wrong MrsJW it's not good sleep as I'm up to the loo and readjusting a fair bit but it's definitely better than tiny baby sleep! I'm sure it won't last!

savagehk · 01/04/2017 13:00

I've got no patience either, been a pregnancy side effect for a while now.

coxsorangepippin · 01/04/2017 13:02

nurseb surely paternity leave doesn't count as holiday though?

nursebickypegs · 01/04/2017 13:11

@coxsorangepippin that's what I've told him to follow up on. Fingers crossed.

Brightsmoke · 01/04/2017 13:42

Ticky, its bum genius and flip, no idea if either brand is any good but they feel a good quality!

RasperryInAMelon · 01/04/2017 13:42

@nursebickypegs paternity shouldn't be encapsulated in that. Paternity is a statutory right which he is entitled to - has he given his employers notice of your pregnancy already?

nursebickypegs · 01/04/2017 13:44

@RasperryInAMelon yes, his boss has been great and gave him time off when we first found out about Baby's heartbeat. I think DH is worrying over nothing but I'm thinking it's going to be okay.

Our Dyson Cordless has just been delivered! We have an Animal which is incredible but our cats are fluffing everywhere upstairs. It's AMAZING. I'm in love.

MissMooMoo · 01/04/2017 13:54

bright I am jealous the council have given you those!!! Ours offers nothing, but they used to give a £50 voucher.
I have got 10 washable nappies so far.
Went swimming this morning with DH. Now relaxing in the bath and the baby things are on a wash. Plan to pack my hospital bag this weekend.

nursebickypegs · 01/04/2017 13:56

@MissMooMoo @Brightsmoke we haven't received a thing over in Nottingham! If I had samples I might try but... no. I like to bag it up and throw away!

Tickyboovicki · 01/04/2017 13:59

@Brightsmoke oooh I've heard of bum genius, I wonder if this is something my council do?

EsmesBees · 01/04/2017 14:07

Cheers rise I'll pop to the pharmacy and ask.

Nurse I love our cordless dyson. It's honestly changed my life. Very useful when weaning.

Fox also very jealous of all the relaxing going on. I've seen threads on here saying late pregnancy with a toddler is bloody hard work. They weren't lying!

nursebickypegs · 01/04/2017 14:22

@EsmesBees I've hoovered the upstairs, the stairs and the sofa. It's a Christmas miracle

Brightsmoke · 01/04/2017 14:27

Well if anyone wants to have them and try them out, I'm happy to post off :)

Tickyboovicki · 01/04/2017 15:08

Bright I would love them if you don't want them? Happy to cover postage!

Some relaxing finally going on here! We started packing up the other halfs man cave this morning, then when he went to football I cleaned the house, so nowfinally going to relax in a bath in a lovely clean, quiet house 😊
Loving the idea of a cordless vacuum, I hate having to constantly move the cord on ours.

Hope everyone's enjoying the sunshine, it's so nice to be able to put the washing outside again!

coxsorangepippin · 01/04/2017 15:20

I've just done an Amazon order for my hospital bag... basically £70 of things to bleed on! Blush

Rockyroad17 · 01/04/2017 17:12

@coxs got to say, that sounds pretty depressing! I dread to think how much I have spent on things for that bag, many of which I suspect won't get used. Ah well, we live and learn I guess. I have been recommended so many things and I don't really feel as if I can ignore advice from people who have done it all before!

FoxMulder · 01/04/2017 18:03

What are all these things you've been buying??

nursebickypegs · 01/04/2017 18:47

@coxsorangepippin what have you bought! I've bought PJs from Primark and packed some old knickers.

coxsorangepippin · 01/04/2017 19:02

Maternity pads, breast pads, puppy pads, lansinoh, angel mama spray, water spray for face, cheapo flip flops, cheapo dark coloured gown.

Just need to add snacks and pants!

nursebickypegs · 01/04/2017 19:12

I need nipple cream. It's been on the shopping list all week which makes DH laugh.

Milk
Eggs
NIPPLE CREAM!!!
Cat biscuits

Brightsmoke · 01/04/2017 19:17

Nurse, my DH was exactly the same when I got mine!

Ticky, can you pm your address please :)

Tickyboovicki · 01/04/2017 19:32

Bright let me try and figure out how 😂

Finally about to watch beauty and the beast on date night with the other half! So excited!

savagehk · 01/04/2017 19:42

I remember buying breast pads off Amazon (must have been before I went off buying from them completely) and Amazon offering to 'tell my friends' what I'd purchased.... Hmm

Jugoo28 · 01/04/2017 20:45

So long since I've posted here! Looks like our wee giant might be making an appearance early so we could have an April baby, not a May baby. Here's a picture of puss anxiously avoiding the bump in case she gets kicked again! (Apologies for the icons, took in fb messenger).
