Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

PB - I've just logged in and seen your posts - I'm so sorry you are having such a worrying time I hope you managed to get to the EPU today to put your mind at rest either way (I know in some places you can just turn up, without a referral, if you've had bleeding) ((((hugs))))

SparklyGothKat - bad luck on the eating. I don't know which is worse, not being able to eat or having a compulsion to eat everything in sight 24/7 (I'm getting soooooo lardy )

mumto3girls · 16/03/2007 17:07

Hi All

PB - sorry you are having a bad time.
I too have had sad news..after a slight bleed lst night copled with terrible back and stomach pains I went to my EPU this morning as thy wanted to sicount an ectopic.

I had an internal scan and they could only just seea gestational sac, which the sonographer said was way too low down to be viable. Also it was too small for 6 wees, not even looking like 5..and I know my dates so I can't not be 6 weeks gone.

I am very sa - the bleeding stopped last nigh and I have been told to just wait for the mc to fully happen. I have t go back to the hospital on Sunday ( mothers day) just so they can take more blood to prove that my hormone levels are not rising ( they say they ill have fallen).
I feel like I am in limbo waiting for it all to end.

Good luck everyone else!

greedyforbabies · 16/03/2007 22:58

geek - not sure why i was reading this thread really, mainly cos i cant believe there is a due in nov thread already i think. i am on the due in oct thread!
i saw your name and i had no idea you had got your bfp!!! congratulations!!! i have been on holiday and must have missed you getting it! congrats again and to everyone else on here!!!

ladydurham · 17/03/2007 07:48

Good morning ladies,

PB & mum to 3 - So, so sorry to hear what your're going through. I have never had to go through such ordeals and can only imagine the pain and heartache you must be feeling. My heart really goes out to you both and that the agonising waiting soon passes.

Sparkly - in some respects, I wish I had a little of your gagging and not being able to finish food - All I seem to be doing is thinking constantly about my next meal and eating just about anything in sight. I was never this ravenous with my ds so it does raise the question, is there more than one little blighter in there? (or more likely I am just a greedy pig!) Hope it is greed - really do not want 2 more babies. Anyone's clothes feeling tighter?

peanutbutter · 17/03/2007 08:14

mumto3girls i'm so sorry you're going through this too . how are you feeling today? Has the bleeding begun properly?

I couldn't bring myself to come back on to MN yesterday. I started with pain around my abdomen/sides which just got steadily worse throughout the afternoon, along with heavy clotty bleeding. I did ring back the GP and had a long talk with them and we both agreed I would wait until the family planning on Monday night. The EPU here closes on a friday at 4.30 and there was just no way I could have got there yesterday. Dh came home about 5.30 - god I was glad to see him. He cried too.

Today I feel completely normal apart from a nagging period type pain and still having the heavy bleeding. I'm still feeling wobbly but i've accepted it now.

I'll keep having a look at this thread and follow your progress over the coming months. Good luck to you all and your babies x

iris66 · 17/03/2007 08:32

peanutbutter - you have been/are being so brave. I'm really glad you have DH with you for support. (((hug)))

mumto3girls - my heartfelt sympathy goes out to you too - hope Sunday isn't too awful for you (((hug)))

Just goes to show how fragile things are during these first few weeks doesn't it

I couldn't watch the red nose day stuff on television last night - after the first couple of clips I was crying so uncontollably I had to go to bed
A a result, I have a very attractive puffy face this morning - bloody hormones

mumto3girls · 17/03/2007 08:55

Thanks PB, Iris and everyone else.
I still have no bleeding at all - and apart from the odd nagging back pin - no real cramps or anything,

I feel strange..i'm pregnant but not expecting....how sad.

I just wish it was all over..this is my 8th pgy and i only have 3 dds so I am very aware of how fragile things are..they have never knon why this has happened to me so often despite doing blood tests.

I am sory you suffered pain and nastiness PB....good luck in the future.

SparklyGothKat · 17/03/2007 13:48

well got up this morning and found the dog had been in the bin, so cleared that up and when I opened the bin, a nasty smell came out and made me gag so much. Then I gagged while eating my brekkie, and when I was brushing my teeth. Poor DH had to empty the smelly bin, and the cat's litter tray today, I hate gagging but love the fact that I have an excuse not to do the bin and the litter tray
Sorry for hear about the girls that are miscarring.

easywriter · 17/03/2007 14:00

Can I join in too?

I'm pregnant and my due date is 11th november (the birthday of my twin dd's, they'll be 4).

I feel shockingly bad.

LorLa · 17/03/2007 14:13

Can I please join!!! I found out today with a home pregnancy test (although I don't quite believe it yet and am convinced it is wrong as no symptonms!!).
Anyway, I have decided to trust it for now and have worked out that due date will be 19th Nov.
Congratulations to you all and good luck xx

easywriter · 17/03/2007 14:56

Congratulations LorLa

SparklyGothKat · 17/03/2007 16:41

Congratulations Easywriter and Lorla

I am feeling really really tired today, but I can't nap as DH has gone to help FIL and I have DS and DD2 at home and have to pick up dd2 from her carer's house at 6pm.

Jonze · 17/03/2007 17:18

Just logged on after a couple days away. Peanutbutter and mum to 3, I'm so sorry about what you two are going through. I agree with iris66 about how touch-and-go these next 7 weeks are. One of the benefits of going private was that my OB had a scanning machine in his office, and would do intermittent scans on me. I had a scan during my first appointment (I was about 7 weeks along). Was reassuring.

I had my GP appointment to refer me to the maternal clinic on Friday. Not sure when I'll be contacted, so I'm a bit anxious. I'd feel better if I was able to at least hear the heart in the next few weeks. I'm getting paranoid enough to book a viability scan privately! Yes, I need to take a deep breath and chill.

Strange, but I really want this hild even more than my first!

mumto3girls · 17/03/2007 17:52

Sparkly...you have an excellent excuse not to do the litter tray. Your MW will tell you no to due to the risk of toxioplasmosis from the feces. Best tell hubby it's his job for the foreseeable....

LorLa · 17/03/2007 20:10

I am due 19th Nov but have no real sypmtoms yet apart from sore breasts and lower back ache but nothing that different to period pains. Can anyone tell me - is it normal not to have any really obvious symptoms at 5 weeks?
Still not trusting results!!!!!

ladydurham · 17/03/2007 21:29

Hi Lorla, I did several tests as I was totally convinced I couldn't be pregnant. Firstly as it was our first attempt at baby no. 2 and secondly, I had no symptoms - (had more symptoms with ds). As I did the first test, I was thinking about what I would be having to drink that evening as I was going out - ha! not to be, couldn't believe it came up as a BFP. So then I went on to convince myself Tesco obviously had had a faulty batch of tests. Anyhow I am def. preggers and other than a huge appetite, not much else really. Boobs aren't really bigger, hardly any sickness (v.mild queasyness)I guess a bit more tired, but other than that, not a lot. Sometimes you wish you felt ill to really believe you are pregnant!

LorLa · 17/03/2007 23:45

Thank you Lady Durham, you have put my mind at rest. The really annoying thing is that I only found out today and have got to go away with work tomorrow for 2 weeks so I can't even go to the doctors for verification for another 2 weeks!!!
This will be our first baby and I have only been off the pill for 4 months - I think that adds to my disbelief!! I'm sure I have a shock to come so I will have to do lots of research when I get back and I'm sure I will be spending a lot more time on MN.
Got to try and get some sleep now and stop thinking of the next 9 months!!!
Thanks for your response and good luck with your pregnancy too!!

SparklyGothKat · 19/03/2007 12:29

Had my scan this morning, there was 2 dark areas in my womb, which she said could have been 2 sacks but we saw the heartbeat in one, and the other area was a small amount of bleeding [phew] But everything looks ok.

iris66 · 19/03/2007 12:54

congratulations easywriter and LorLa! only 7 1/2 months to go now - you'd be surprised how quickly it goes - IMHO it's the first and last 2 months that really take longest !!

SparklyGothKat - so pleased everything's where it should be How do you feel knowing it's one and not two after worrying about twins?

SparklyGothKat · 19/03/2007 14:54

Fine, I am just gald its all ok.

iris66 · 19/03/2007 17:01

I only ask as I'm not sure how I'm going to feel either way They do scans at 10 weeks here so looks like I'll just have to wait (times like this I wish patience was one of my better attributes)

Hello ladies - just discovered that with any luck I'm on course for No 2. in November - can I join in?

Doctors appointment tomorrow but if it's anything like last time they just say 'well done' and 'see ya' - all of 2 minutes start to finish!

Bit worried about having two as I seem to remember spending a lot of time on the sofa last time which isn't really an option any more, but I guess I'll have to find ways to cope...

...wow...congratulations everyone

xxsummerxx · 20/03/2007 08:55

Hey Piffy,

I was at the docs yesterday, they didnt take my blood pressure or a urine sample, in fact they didnt do anything at all, gave me folic acid and told me to be careful and get plenty of rest, which isnt going to be easy with a 2 and a half yr old running around, have another appt next monday, maybe they will do more then!!!

ladydurham · 20/03/2007 11:23

I can totally understand where xxsummerxx is coming from. When I went to my GP he said "Have you done a home test?" (yes) "Do you feel pregnant?" (yes) and that was it! I was given a prescription for Folic acid and forms to claim my free prescriptions. His closing comment was "Well, this will probably be old hat you" Christ, I've only had one baby, he made me sound like a battery pig - popping babies out on a regular basis. Anyway, I have a midwife appointment tomorrow so that will probably be the old blood tests, bp, urine and weigh-in (OMG!)I hate having blood taken and nearly always faint and dread to think what the scales will say I can't believe that i'm seven weeks already, it seems to be flying over
