meant to add - I'm not thinking of the weight loss thing until at least 9 months after I give birth. I figure bf will shift some anyway & it takes so long to get big I'll give my poor old bod a chance to recover first (and I'm very lazy - can you tell )

sparklygothkat · 11/06/2007 16:48

that is true, I normally am 7st 7lb, went down to 7st 4lb and now am 7st 8 1/4lb. Was just getting worried that my weight gain is so slight

purplepants · 11/06/2007 17:00

eat more pies? but seriously - you're rushing round after your other LOs so you're bound to be using your own reserves for the baby (nature makes sure the mother suffers well before the baby!) Have you a scan/mw appt soon to put your mind properly at rest?

sparklygothkat · 11/06/2007 17:01

I have my 20 week scan in 2 weeks, and a checkup with the consulant.

purplepants · 11/06/2007 17:11

are you ok to wait until then?(just that you do sound concerned) I'm sure your mw wouldn't mind having a chat with you.

sparklygothkat · 11/06/2007 17:46

have noticed that the hospital and the MW haven;t even weighed me at all. Is it true that they don;t weigh anymore?

purplepants · 11/06/2007 18:46

I've not been weighed yet so it seems that way anyone else?

I was asked my weight by the MW at booking in and then weighed when i went to the hospital but only because i was doing part of a study thing for them.

sparklygothkat · 11/06/2007 20:14

tonysmum, I would go for the rush option too, I moved when I was 30 weeks pregnant with dd1, thinking I had ages, but had her prematurely a week later, but I wouldn;t have liked to moved with a newborn

AnnainNZ · 12/06/2007 00:46

I've been weighed at each appointment but I think it's still routine in NZ. They do it in kilos over here which always confuses me as I then have to convert it to stone and pounds in my head! I've put on about 6lb so far, am 19 weeks, feel pretty relaxed about it.

purplepants · 12/06/2007 09:39

morning all. I've made us a shiny new thread - hope it's ok

purplepants · 12/06/2007 09:40
