Hi Sparkly x

CocoLoco · 08/03/2007 22:27

SparklyGK - congratulations! We were briefly on the Sept thread together. I would be on this thread as I was pregnant last week but alas no more....hope yours sticks around this time!

mishmash2 · 09/03/2007 13:47

Sorry to hear that Cocoloco . I may be joining you as have begun spotting.... I did this with my last pregnancy but I always worry. Luckily the hospital near us has an EPU clinic so you can check yourself in for an early scan so may well go on Monday for peace of mind. All this worry!!

SparklyGothKat · 09/03/2007 14:00

Coco, sorry to hear this. I remember you on the sept thread, we both bowed out around the same time. Good luck for next time.

geekInPigtails · 09/03/2007 16:32

Oh mishmash, that does sound scary! Don't blame you for wanting an early scan. Hope you get one and it's reassuring!

Pixiefish · 09/03/2007 16:48

I'm just back from the hospital as I had pains in my side. After a thorough exam and tests the doctor has told me it appears to be ok but has booked me in for a scan on Tuesday just incase.

Can't remember this many pains first time round

iris66 · 09/03/2007 19:44

Pixiefish - am so pleased that your appointment went well - must be a load off your mind, and you get a scan too! result! good luck for it
FWIW I've felt very different each pg (at the mo I keep veering from bloaty and sick to just not feeling pg at all - bizarre!!)

Hi to all the newly pg - so exciting isn't it We told family this week (ours are the only grandchildren on my side so much celebrating!) I so want a scan though, to just confim it as much as anything. maybe I'm odd...

Bethbe · 09/03/2007 20:06

Hiya all! Big congrats. I'm from the Nov 06 and wishing you all well. It seems both like yesterday, and a lifetime ago!

Good luck!

CocoLoco · 09/03/2007 22:12

Thanks Sparkly and Mishmash - my fingers are firmly crossed for you both.

iris66 · 12/03/2007 07:41

good luck to all of you with scans today

SparklyGothKat · 12/03/2007 10:39

been to the GP and got my EPU appointment for next monday, I am booked into the better hospital rather than the one nearby. GP was very good with me, though she did said that because I feel so rough this time, and have so many pregnancy signs early on and have never felt like this before, that something is different with this pregnancy and it might be twins Dh said that if the EPU say its twins next week, he will cry....

iris66 · 12/03/2007 12:39

SGK - I know what you mean about feeling "different" this time - I am sooo tired and nauseous and by bedtime I look about 5 months! lol at your DH - mine keeps joking about quads I'm so lardy. I'll laugh so much at him if it is twins though(then I'll cry!!)
Can you get an early scan without a very good reason? I'm a bit nervous about going to the Drs yet as last time he just said "well I'll notify the midwife but anything can happen before then"

SparklyGothKat · 12/03/2007 13:52

I have to go to the EPU as I had an Ectopic pregnancy a few months back, and I also had a miscarriage in 99, so they want to keep an eye on me.

nykate · 12/03/2007 15:04

Just wanted to say hi to everyone! I am still in a bit of shock over my bfp...I have a 13 month old dd and a 3 yr old dd and was just not expecting this. Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the thought of having 3 children under 4yrs and because this will be my first baby in the UK. We moved here last spring and I guess I'll have to figure out how things go. I apologize in advance for all of the questions I'll have! Good luck to all!

Pixiefish · 12/03/2007 15:39

nykate- hi.

sparkly- i'm back for my scan tomorrow morning and then back to the epu following the pains i had last week.

Feel very sick and tired though so I'm hoping this is a good sign

peanutbutter · 12/03/2007 18:45

hello all - have you room for another here?i'm over from the ttc boards (hooray!!), after trying to produce a little brother or sister for ds since September last year.

I'm 34 and married to dh who works away an awful lot - so I'm going to be spending a fair bit of this pregnancy feeling a bit lonely. Ds is 18months and a very compliant and placid little fella so i'm thinking i'm probably in for a very big wake up call with no.2!

I'm feeling queasy and bloated and couldn't even face food today until midday (practically unheard of for me ). With any luck i might lose a little of the excess flab i've been carrying around with me since ds was born....

Pixiefish · 13/03/2007 08:05

hi peanutbutter

FCH · 13/03/2007 09:02

Hello,

Is anyone else finding time is passing incredibly slowly. I can't believe it is only two and a half weeks since I found out I am pregnant; it feels like it's been months. I have told close family and my boss (as I had to) but no friends yet so I keep having to bite my tongue during conversations about children / pregnancy etc.

I am also feeling unpleasantly bloated and rather nauseous, and incredibly breathless. I normally run 4-5 miles 3-4 times a week, and right now walking up 2 flights of stairs at work feels like climbing up everest. Anyone else feel exhausted?

geekInPigtails · 13/03/2007 12:11

Hello peanutbutter! Congratulations When are you due?

FCH, ABSOLUTELY!! Definitely feels like I've been pregnant ages already, how on earth are we going to get to 9 months?! I'm feeling a bit nauseous now and then, a bit tireder than normal by early evening, but I guess things could be a lot worse and I should count my blessings

peanutbutter · 13/03/2007 13:17

Hello Pigtails, congrats again to you

I'm due November 15th, but I think this pregnancy is going to pass all too quickly. We've decided to put an extension on the back of the house, and, if it gets full approval (ie double 2 story), then it's going to be a huge noisy messy kerfuffle for months and months. Hey ho though.

maisym · 13/03/2007 14:06

Did a test today & bfp

can't believe it - plus explains why I've been sooo tired & have found bf uncomfortable. feel apprehensive as I've had a m/c before & probs with pregnancy

will tell dh when he comes home!

Pixiefish · 13/03/2007 17:18

Had my scan this morning and it was iconclusive as it's too early in the pregnancy. I saw the little sac though so there is a sac there. HCG levels are high so that is good. The pain was caused by a cyst on my ovary which is apparetnly perfectly normal.

SparklyGothKat · 13/03/2007 18:08

i am looking really fat already, people at the school were eyeing my belly, then made a comment about how they like my jeans. Can't wait for the scan on monday to see just how many are in there.... or if I am just fat

stripeybumpsmum · 13/03/2007 20:19

Hi,

Can I join in please? 6 weeks pg, so due early Nov ish. Have DS 14 months. Rubbish first pg - sick, sick, sick and more sick.

This time around, had a few early wobbles with bleeding but have seen Bud's heartbeat on scan today for the first time so very relived!

Hoping this pg will be textbook - happy to be sick until week12, then it can jolly well stop, thanks very much.

Absolutely agree pg is way too long - a 3-6 month gestation with full term baby instead of 9+months would be just fine thanks !

Got to go to get some sleep - it's a killer this tiredness...

maisym · 13/03/2007 20:49

feels strange to be here! told dh & we're being cautious. I'll do another test tomorrow. My trousers are tighter as well (could be flab though )
