OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SparklyGothKat · 20/03/2007 11:27

I haven't even had a midwife appointment yet. I think I won;t be seen till I am 12 weeks now. I had a scan yesterday and all seems well, but I know now that I have to wait 6 weeks to see baby again.

Piffy · 20/03/2007 16:32

Back from the docs - due date 20th November apparently, which makes me 5 weeks tomorrow. The only other item of interest was her saying 'gosh pregnant again so soon?!' in shocked voice and looking very surprised/disbelieving when I said it was planned. weirdly I feel a bit upset about this, as I did want children close together in age and I did not think 19 months was that close an age difference, really? A girl I know has just had another baby and her DS is not a year old yet!

seeing as loopymumsy has crept over, i will too.....

I got a bfp yesterday and appear to be due on 22nd november. feels stupidly early to know (dd was a surprise and i was 7 weeks + when i found out) and i'm just scared something will go wrong

I've forgotten what to do? DO i need to make gp appointment or just call surgery and ask about clinic? or what?

(we moved here when dd was born so i never had antenatal care here.. i'm not THAT forgettful

Oh, i have a dd who is almost 4. she'll be 4 and a half when baby comes. Just what we wanted!!!!

congratulations Loopymumsy & alittlebitshy I half wish that you couldn't find out until 12 weeks! - it'd be much less stressful don't you think

alittlebitshy - I made an appointment at the Drs at 6 weeks just to let him know. He's going to notify the MW who will contact me for booking & scan appointments at 10 weeks (may be different where you are though)

Piffy - at your Dr! How rude!! my SIL planned hers close together (14 mths)and had a silimar response so maybe its just that the "average" age gap has increased over the years (better contraception etc) so Drs aren't so used to smaller gaps any more (just a thought - not trying to justify the response - I'd be miffed too!)

How's everyone else on the MS front? I seem to be waking in the night, for some strange reason, feeling really queasy & taking ages to drop off again soooooo tired.

xxsummerxx · 21/03/2007 09:58

Hi Everyone,

Feeling great today, felt really dizzy yesterday and had a cracker of a sore head for most of the day, had 3 hours of training at work which didnt help, just sitting there getting talked at, nightmare!!!, didnt want to take anything with it being early stages.

Has anyone else wh is roughly 5 wks felt any movement? I think I am feeling flutterings, but not sure if its because I want to feel something or because maybe I'm further on than I first thought.....

miabl2 · 21/03/2007 12:52

(Creeping very very very quietly) did an early test (2 just to make sure) think my due date would be about 28 Nov. Also looking for moral support as been TTC for 6 months and don't want anything to go wrong. First 12 weeks always difficult. Every little cramp.....

Hi everyone,

Hi miabl2, loopymumsy and alittlebitshy, congratulations on your respective 'buns in the oven'
As far as MS goes, just have it on and off most of the day. I don't really want to vomit - just feel queasy (like a hangover)and when its not that its the urge to eat!
Had my 'booking in' today and had the dreaded blood taken and will have my dating scan in about a month or so. V.excited about this pregnancy, can't wait to eventually see the little 'bean'at my scan. Hope everyone is feeling fit and well, and for those who aren't - hopefully you will soon x

SparklyGothKat · 21/03/2007 17:32

I haven't had a booking in appointment, no bloods nothing. Haven't even seen a midwife. Do you think I should chase it, especially as I have had high risk pregnanies before?

geekInPigtails · 21/03/2007 17:39

Hi everyone

Peanutbutter and mumto3, if you're still on here every so often, just wanted to say how sorry I am that you've had to drop out. Not having been through it myself I can't really imagine, so I just hope you're getting all the support you need in RL and looking after yourselves.

Sorry I've not been on in a while - I came down with an awful tummy bug last week, swiftly followed by a cold, so I was basically flat on my back or on the loo for about 4 days, and I'm only just starting to catch up with things again! It means it's now quite difficult to tell what's m/s and what's my tummy still recovering from the nastiness last week!

It's bizarre though - I'm finding it difficult to tell the difference between feeling hungry (like loudly growly tummy hungry) and feeling queasy and therefore not wanting to eat! Very confusing.

ladydurham, congrats on the booking in, I actually can't wait for mine Feels like that will be the 'official' start of my pg! Silly I know. It's not going to be for at least 3 weeks though - round my way they do them at 12 weeks, which is just after Easter.

And congrats to loopsymumsy, alittlebitshy and miabl2 - hello! I guess we'll have our full quota of November people fairly soon. Maybe we should start a roll call?!

SparklyGothKat · 21/03/2007 18:22

OMG I have spots!!! I don't like this Still feeling rotten and sick all day. my sister said to eat toast in the morning, I was still gagging eating that.

SparklyGothKat 6+3, DS, 9.3, DD1 6.9, DD2 5.5. Miscarriage feb 1999, and Ectopic Jan 2007

Jonze · 21/03/2007 22:09

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with the terminology..what does 3+6 stand for? Sorry so dim.

Loopsy: I am serious about a home birth. I don't want to deal with the stress of rushing to the hospital and possibly giving birth en route. I'm waiting for my mw appointment (god knows when that will be) to talk to someone about how to set one up. Just a question though...who takes care of the clean-up?

SparklyGothKat · 21/03/2007 22:11

its how many weeks pregnant we are, so my 6+3 is 6 weeks plus 3 days

tryingfortwo · 21/03/2007 22:46

Hi can I join in please. Just got a BFP tonight. I have a 22 month dd and have been trying for this little one for about 9 or 10 months so I can hardly believe it. Just presumed another BFN. I will be 5 weeks on Friday.

Pixiefish · 22/03/2007 08:27

Off for my second scan today following the pains in my side. Think it's just a cyst but today's scan will confirm this or otherwise

iris66 · 22/03/2007 08:40

Tryingfortwo - congratulations and welcome aboard!

Good luck for your scan Pixiefish

Loopymumsy - 3+6, DD1 2.2, DD2 8.5mo
SparklyGothKat 6+3, DS, 9.3, DD1 6.9, DD2 5.5. Miscarriage feb 1999, and Ectopic Jan 2007
Iris66 - 7+2,DD18,DS14mo (due 7th)

Have added due date as the, how pg we are, bit is going to be wrong unless everyone posts on the same day - what d'you think?

xxsummerxx · 22/03/2007 08:42

Hi Loopsymum,

This will be my third baby, I have never felt movement this eary before, but there is def something happening in there, and am aware that the baby hasnt developed limbs yet, so I am being to wonder if I am further on than first thought! Going by my lmp I am 5+4, but when I had both my DS I had a period, not just implantation bleeding but a full period, so I'm desperate for my appt with the doc+midwife on Monday, I'm going to ask for an early scan, not only to find out the exact date, but also to find out if we are having twins or not!!!

Piffy · 22/03/2007 08:50

Hi all new Nov mums2B, hope all feeling well this morning, unlike me - first time I woke up feeling sick, hope this doesn't go on... at least the cramping pain has stopped now, it did seem worse than last time and I was a bit worried.

LIST UPDATE
Loopymumsy - 3+6, DD1 2.2, DD2 8.5mo
SparklyGothKat 6+3, DS, 9.3, DD1 6.9, DD2 5.5. Miscarriage feb 1999, and Ectopic Jan 2007
Piffy - 5+1, DS1 12mo

Jonze and loopymumsy v interested in homebirth too, had induction with first DS so not sure I won't end up with the same thing again but was totally neglected by poor overworked midwives and walked out less than 8 hours after having him. Feel I'll have a better time and more care at home. Only problem - how do I convince DH who is not keen at all in any way?!

Mentioned it to doctor who frankly was unimpressed with the idea and said 'last time I delivered a baby was 15 years ago'. Hmmmm

Piffy · 22/03/2007 08:52

Oops sorry Iris, latest list update

Loopymumsy - 3+6, DD1 2.2, DD2 8.5mo
SparklyGothKat 6+3, DS, 9.3, DD1 6.9, DD2 5.5. Miscarriage feb 1999, and Ectopic Jan 2007
Iris66 - 7+2,DD18,DS14mo (due 7th)
Piffy - 5+1, DS1 12mo

ladydurham · 22/03/2007 10:58

Morning ladies,
To add into the role-call:
Loopymumsy - 3+6, DD1 2.2, DD2 8.5mo
SparklyGothKat 6+3, DS, 9.3, DD1 6.9, DD2 5.5. Miscarriage feb 1999, and Ectopic Jan 2007
Iris66 - 7+2,DD18,DS14mo (due 7th)
Piffy - 5+1, DS1 12mo
Ladydurham - 7, DS 2.10

Feeling awful this morning, sick, sick, sick. I was really disappointed last night. I dreamed all day of my tea (how sad)
I was having bangers and mash and really, really fancied it. I made it, had a couple of mouthfuls and decided I couldn't eat anymore - I couldn't bear the taste of it (this is due to pregnancy, not my cooking)and was almost on the verge of tears cos i'd looked forward to it all day. Anyone else really fancing things and then once they have them are repulsed by them? Or is it me simply being wierd?

Sparkly - Spots as in the ones on your face or spots as in a bleed? I initially was panicking for you then I thought, hang on she might just mean ones on your face

apeainapod · 22/03/2007 11:06

Hi I am also due in November - the 10th in fact. However due to past experience I might add on another 10 days!

This is baby number 4. DS1 is 4, DS2 is 3, DD is 18 months.

Not much nausea - although I can definitely say I have gone off fish!

Congratulations to you all....
