Also, geekinpigtails, I have exactly the same thing with my bump, in hte morning it just looks like I've had a few too many pies but by the evening I feel about 8 months pregnant, my bump gets huge! Then smaller again the next morning. Strange.

Pixiefish · 05/06/2007 08:05

me too Annain- at night it's mahisive.

Glad I'm not the only one who can't feel any movement yet. I thought there was something worng

geekInPigtails · 05/06/2007 12:18

oh pixiefish, I didn't mean to worry you! It's completely normal not to notice the movement up to at least 20 weeks I think, and I think I've heard people on here say they still couldn't feel anything at 21 weeks, and everything turned out fine. Apparently it all depends on things like the position of the placenta and how strong your tummy muscles are! It's literally been the past couple of days that it's been properly noticeable for me.

RGPargy · 05/06/2007 12:19

Pixiefish - Glad your tests came back clear - what a relief!!!

I'm not sure if i've felt movement yet or not. I'm 15 weeks exactly today but i think yesterday i felt a little bubble pop feeling. I'm trying to tally up these feelings with whether or not i then fart a couple of minutes later - just to rule out wind!!

Anyway, i'll add myself to the scan list:

Choudru - due 2nd Nov, scan 19th June
MrsJ - due 10 Nov, scan 22 June
Tonysmum - due 6 Nov, scan 22nd June
Sparklygothkat-due 8th Nov, scan 25 June
Annainnz - due 6th Nov, scan 18th-22nd June? Will book it next week!

Jetgirl - due Nov 11th - scan June 25th
GeekInPigtails - due 4th Nov, scan 25th June
Pixiefish- due 8th Nove, scan 22nd June
RGPargy - due 27 Nov, scan w/beginning 23 July

Pixiefish · 05/06/2007 15:22

geek- you didn't worry me. I've read in places that movement is generally felt earlier with #2

roundhere · 05/06/2007 18:08

Hi, I'm a noob and I'm expecting my 3rd bubba on 16th Nov.

Looking forward to talkin to some of you soon x

Pixiefish · 05/06/2007 19:30

purplepants · 05/06/2007 19:49

Welcome to the thread roundhere As you're on No.3 too do you have a pelvic floor? (just ignore me if I'm being too personal - I'm in mid regret of not having done many kegel exercises )

Pixiefish - a noob is a newbie/new person on the board, sorry for the confusion!

Purplepants - nope, I don't have a pelvic floor...I have to cross my fingers (and my legs) every time I sneeze!
Still haven't learnt my lesson though...must really try and do the exercises soon and keep it up this time.

littleoldme · 06/06/2007 08:31

Pixie I'm so pleased for you.

roundhere - welcome to the thread.

I'm off to do some pelvic floor exercises. I know what to do but does anyone know how many you are supposed to do - I can't spend all day clenching.

Pixiefish · 06/06/2007 10:10

10 seve4ral times a day apparently

littleoldme · 06/06/2007 10:18

I'd better get busy then.

RGPargy · 06/06/2007 12:31

Welcome, roundhere!

MrsJetson · 06/06/2007 18:46

Hi did you miss me???

Welcome to roundhere and tonysmum! They're a lovely lot really...

So what happened with the deleted message? I'm off for a few days and we get hijacked.

Pixie - I had goosebumps when I saw your result! Well done you! So very very very happy for you and your DH!!! Really so happy........ I have been thinking about you.

RG - how could you ever be forgotten?? I read your profile - are you STILL doing your gigs??

We have had a fairly hectic few days - starting to pack up before flying back - so VERY excited!

This little one is bloody enormous now - it's ridiculous. I have lost my appetite for all of my faourite things - including crisps regular noemal bog standard Walkers/Monster Munch/Hula Hoops etc.. Here they are a bit of a luxury as we don't get them that often - and now I don't even want them! So very sad.

HOWEVER, not to be outdone I now really want proper English food! So as to put my skills to work I ended up with 15 people for Sunday lunch - 3 courses - Roast beef with everything, apple pie and Jersey cream (brought back by the PIL's) and a load of yummy cheese. In fact I was rather very naughty and couldn't resist the Brie and Stilton! I'm having the Toxo test next week..... also a couple fo yummy glasses of Chilean Merlot! This LO slept VERY well.

Speak to you all soon xx

Pixiefish · 06/06/2007 19:45

Thanks MrsJ

The deleted message was a spammer spamming all the ante natal threads with her second hand baby goods shop.

Have you been busy with family over then?

Welcome back Loopy!! Sorry to hear you can't have the IM - better luck with the NHS! How are you feeling?

Pixie - my PIL's still live over here, they are gradually trying to move back to the UK, but I think after being abroad for over 40 years - it's a bit cold for them!! They had been travelling for a month back to Europe and so brought some 'English' supplies with them!

Everybody seems to be lying low these days....

Have a good day

RGPargy · 07/06/2007 13:47

Welcome back Loopymumsy and Mrs Jetson!

Starting to feel little movements and bubble-like feelings now so i'm getting dead excited!!

Mrs Jetson - no, not doing club gigs now. I cancelled what bookings i had as soon as i found out i was pg as i didn't think it was right to put myself (and my baby) in that sort of environment, even if i would only have been 12 weeks at the time! Plus i felt about 1,000 years old so wouldn't have been able to stay up past 9pm, let alone be out gigging til 6am! I'm still doing my internet radio shows tho, so that keeps my hand in and keeps me out of mischief. I'll keep doing them until i cant fit behind my decks any more!

How is everyone else today?

Am I the only one not feeling movements now?

I know they say you someitmes don't feel them till 20 weeks with the first, but I'm a bit disheartened I haven't felt anything! I'm nearly 19 weeks.

Pixiefish · 08/06/2007 09:32

Annain- I haven't felt movement yet so don't worry. Any day soon eh

MrsJ- how lovely for you so warm over there

sparklygothkat · 08/06/2007 10:00

I have got thrush now girls I have some pessasys to use.. am not a happy bunny

RGPargy · 08/06/2007 13:27

Sorry to hear that SGK!!! Hope it clears up soon. Get that cranberry juice down your neck!!

purplepants · 08/06/2007 14:43

Hi all - isn't it a lovely day again Just got back from an emergency food shop as I'd not got myself organised enough to fit in an internet one DS is blasting out the zeds in his cot & I'm going to relax in the garden for a while (bliss)

SparklyGothKat - poor you bung some natural yoghurt on your bits & a couple of drops of tea tree in your bath for a few days - works every time for me

Anna - you have obviously got beautifully strong abdominals (iris resists the urge to snarl jealously at the screen ) Your LO will be keeping you awake with kicks in the ribs before you know it - enjoy the peace! It's totally normal not to feel anything specific for ages anyway, and especially for a first as it really does feel like wind/food going down.

RGPargy - being pg after a long break is fab isn't it Is your DS getting excited too? DD was saying today that she though that it would put her off motherhood but it hasn't. She & DS adore each other - it's lovely.

MrsJetson - clearly the hostess with the mostess reckon we all ought to have a meet up at yours when you move so you can cook us a roast - it sounded so gorgeous I almost wanted to do one myself!

Loopymumsy - long time no see! - good to see you back on line I'm also having to give up on my back carrier now as it's geting too uncomfortable Whilst I was out I wondered whether it would be possible to have the new LO on the front in a material sling with DS on the back in the Ergo (maybe my hormones are making me think unfeasible thoughts but it was a nice idea whilst it lasted )

DH is abroad at the mo so I've tasked him with trying to find me a Phil & Teds E3 Twin Sport pushchair cheaper than here. I've set my heart on one but they're so expensive, especially when you add the rain cover, panniers etc. Has anyone else bought a pram/pushchair yet?

While I think about it does anyone want to buy a black short sleeved mock wrap maternity dress (size 16) I'm so much smaller than last time & it never fitted me then so it's certainly not now. Brand new & unworn (cost £35 but happy to accept £15)

Anyhoo - sunshine calls to hi to anyone I've missed & have a fab friday (it's the last Ugly Betty tonight don't forget - love that prog)
x
