Lally I'm the opposite, the pregnancy is going too fast, I'm not ready for a real life baby yet!

I feel like mine's a girl but then cos I really want a girl I daren't trust my gut. Can't wait to find out what we're cooking!

Flapper xx. Ok, FTM going overboard alert! I'm a musician (trained but don't work in that) and as every musician I'm obsessed with perfect pitch. I came across this app, Nuryl, and the guy says that listening to it from about 20 weeks pregnant and the first two years gives your baby the best chance to develop an innate appreciation of complex harmonies and music. So two days ago i started playing their playlist to my bubba - and omg the reaction! Whenever i put the headphone on my belly, my boy is jumping around :) now for the panicked question: does it mean he definitely likes it.. or could it mean he hates it?!

Natienka I would say it means he likes it.

I'm not sure I'm convinced that an app or even exposure to music at a young age will give children an innate appreciate of complex harmonies and music...I think the key is in the word innate, i.e. it's innate and cannot be learned! totally genetic and if you're a musician and musical yourself, there's a very strong chance your little one will be too :)

Notyetthere Popularcontrarian here :) haven't been on mumsnet much because we moved house and we have no wifi, things have been a bit mental to say the least!

I'm having an elective c-section and I've already been given my date - 5th July! And I'm not sure if I already posted that we're having a girl which I wasn't expecting as I was convinced we'd have another little boy. Still though, it's going to be lovely to have one of each!

All I care about is that she's healthy, sometimes I get so stressed out about the health of the baby...anyone else??

Twixes, congrats on your baby girl, I'm having a girl too. How great you know the exact date she will be here already!!
I'm the same re worrying about her health, im currently anxious about sleeping as I keep rolling onto my back in my sleep as I hate sleeping on my side, now I've become a bit obsessive because I read you shouldn't sleep on your back and I wake up fretting that I've harmed her and then am waiting round in the morning until I feel her move!

Lally, I feel the same! I want it to be July now and her to be here

I'm enjoying being pregnant to be honest and it's going too fast! Excited for baby to come obviously but loving being pregnant too. I'm making the most of it as if I get pregnant again it won't be the same having to look after a little one as well, so trying to cherish it while I can!

I'm getting impatient but v conscious I've a long way to go...21 weeks today! Appointment with consultant this afternoon about an elective section so hoping we get a date too..

It's funny...I went through a phase of not worrying but now I'm worrying again. The kicks are reassuring though...

In some ways 19 weeks away seems so soon but July seems like ages away! I've just seen a lovely newborn in the café I'm sitting in and am getting properly broody again. I just wish there was a window to the baby so we could check in on them from time to time.

Natienka welcome, I was so sorry to read about your first son. Pregnancies after a loss like that must be a real mix of emotions. As for the music I reckon that means he likes it!! My husband is rally musical but I know, just KNOW, that our baby will take after me and be tone deaf. My feeling about her is that she will be loud and boisterous as well. Probably kidding myself about that. Anyone else feeling like their baby has a personality already or am i delusional?!

Crombana No I get what you mean! I think we're going to have an uber chilled out baby. Didn't move a muscle during the 12 week scan despite mine and the sonography attempts and I've barely felt any movement - although that could be because I'm only 18+5...

Also me and the OH are both naturally laid back - we don't stress or worry over stuff. Plus both my mum and his said as babies we were quiet and content. My mum said as long as I was fed I was happy - not a lot has changed lol!!
