1B3 - Excellent - Thank you! Definitely sign me up for a buddy!

Had to lie next to DD2 on DD1's bed to get her to sleep in the end ..... DO NOT want to be doing that every morning - Grrrr! Hope soooo much doesn't do this again tomrorow morning - stressing now ..... She's still asleep - hanging off the edge of the bed!!

Bugmum · 22/02/2007 12:25

Great idea about the buddies; have added self to list.

CD - DS (just two) showed every sign of dropping his nap a few weeks ago (causing much mummy-sobbing and interior return to teenager: 'Snot FAIR!!!), but we kept putting him down anyway - at least for a short time - and we have found that now he naps again. Maybe once or twice a fortnight he doesn't, but mostly he does (and still clearly needs it). So don't think all is lost on the nap front yet!

MrsGoranVisnjic · 22/02/2007 12:26

I do so hate seeing this title pop up in active conversations .. its like being confronted by teenagers laughing about sex cos they're mildly embarrassed

EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 22/02/2007 12:37

i'm sorry, do we know you?
i don't really see that what we choose to call our thread is your business

OP posts:
MrsGoranVisnjic · 22/02/2007 12:40

its not but it keeps coming up in active conversations .. I haven't read thread .. because its none of my business .. but I do object to the title which just makes me think euwwwww and seems wholly inappropriate

don't give a toss if you 'know' me or not

MrsGoranVisnjic · 22/02/2007 12:40

although I have just noticed why you're so pissed off .. because its your thread title .. makes sense

Bugmum · 22/02/2007 12:44

No, Ellie is pssed off because we are a group of virtual mates who have a very supportive relationship and for whom the thread title refers to a particular joke. We are pssed off because this is not a general thread and you have stuck your beak in. We are p*ssed off because this thread ALWAYS manages to avoid any of the nastiness and pettiness that is sometimes to be found elsewhere in Mumsnet. Until you posted, that is.

EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 22/02/2007 12:46

thanks Bugmum, was having a bad day anyway and her comment really didn't help!

OP posts:
Bugmum · 22/02/2007 12:46

I should add that I have never seen new arrivers to the thread get anything other than a warm welcome before now, which should also tell you something

Bugmum · 22/02/2007 12:48

Ellie - ((((((((hugs))))))))))))

EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 22/02/2007 12:51

and for your information MrsGV, yes, i did start this thread, but only after talking to the others about the new title and them deeming it appropriate

OP posts:
EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 22/02/2007 12:53

thanks for the hugs, much needed!
matthew being a bit of a nightmare, very active today and playing me up
and just had a discussion with my temp agency, they have appointed someone else as my contact without telling me and he didn't even know i was pg, let alone that i only have 4 weeks left at work

OP posts:
EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 22/02/2007 12:54

would anyone mind if i start a new thread today as i could do without reading her comments everytime i come on?

OP posts:
Bugmum · 22/02/2007 12:56

at your temp agency!!!! That is outrageous.

Perhaps you could take Matthew out to the park and let him run off his energy? That's what I do, I must confess: treat DS like an over-enthusiastic labrador puppy and run his little legs off

Bugmum · 22/02/2007 12:57

Ellie - Excellent idea, starting a new thread. I was so angry, my heart was pounding!

EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 22/02/2007 13:07

how about
Due April 2007 - a wholly appropriate thread

OP posts:
AngeG · 22/02/2007 13:08

More [[[[hugs]]]] Ellie. Can't believe how rude people on other threads can be. I have no problem with this thread title.

Excellent idea 1becomes3, have added myself to the list. Hope DD is better soon.

CD - Hope you're feeling a bit better now, sure it's just a phase.

Hello everyone else, can't remember anything as usual especially after that intrusion

EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 22/02/2007 13:10

seems from other threads she has a cold and couldn't find anything interesting on mumsnet so we bore the brunt of her frustration and boredom.

shame she felt the need to spoil what is otherwise a really friendly thread.

eca · 22/02/2007 13:12

hi all

what's that all about???????? well done ellie and bugmum!

1b3 great idea, off to add myself now.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 22/02/2007 13:26

Blimey, tons of posts and a rude intruder. Honestly!

Hello to all, and sorry for those who are feeling pants, or who have lo's who are poorly.

Hope everyone makes a speedy recovery. We need some decent weather - roll on Spring!

Well, I am sad enough to admit, that at 6.30 last night I was dustbusting the car and wiping the seat where Becky had wiped her muddy trainers! I need to get out more!!
Becky actually notice as well when she got in this morning God love her!

I am delighted to report that we had a DRY NIGHT!

B was so chuffed with herself, as were we! So, a good night last night, although I stupidly didn't take Gaviscon before I went to sleep and woke up an hour later with horrid acid indigestion. I have to say that having a cold is a blessing in a way, as I cannot taste the stuff too much!

Every cloud has a silver lining and all that!

Great idea re the buddy system. I have put in my details. Thanks 1b3. x

Right, at work, and tons to do. Mad really, as it has been quiet for a while and is now kicking off when I only have a few weeks to go!

Birdiebump · 22/02/2007 13:43

Yay SOSPL - We had a dry night too - 2nd in a row.

As for Mrs GV - in her dreams.... And anyway, laughing about sex is a good thing IMO!

Do we have a new thread yet? I think we should stick with this one for a while, just to annoy her!

EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 22/02/2007 13:48

haven't started it yet, was a bit worried that maybe you all thought it was an inappropriate title so maybe we should change it, but if you really don't mind it we can stay put

OP posts:
Eddas · 22/02/2007 13:51

What a silly woman she was, complaining about the thread title. Take no notice Ellie she's obviously an old grump

1b3 like the buddy idea, will sign up.

Been to docs now and rash is from the cream and she did piont out that it doesn't even work, which i know but thought in the vain hope it did i'd give it a try!! Just got to leave it to clear up, nice!

flumppootle · 22/02/2007 13:53

Hugs Ellie

Where did that come from? Pleasant buddy chat to insults???? We all love the thread title, it still makes me smile everytime I see it

YEAH to dry nights SOSPL and Birdiebump!! Very

runnyhabbit · 22/02/2007 13:55

afternoon all

ds is sitting at the computer with me, so you'll have to excuse any spelling mistakes!

great idea for the buddy system - have already added my details

have caught up on the posts but can't remember too much
I do remember the intruder. As my mum says, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all...

got AN appt with mw for blood tests for antibodies - that'll be fun with ds in tow.

mmk - please don't feel lonely due date buddy My last day is a week tomorrow, and I'm quite looking forward to the mornings ds will be in nursery (he's 21mths), so I can catch up on some much needed sleep
