claricebean · 20/02/2007 13:30

Hey girls,

Hope you're all doing fine. Haven't had time to read the new thread yet, but will try. DH back but quite ill so housebound. Still, lovely to have him home.

Emmymummy · 20/02/2007 13:48

Well Emily is still poorly-sick - high temperature, not eating, listless, sleepy etc. and now saying her ear hurts so have to ring the Drs at 2pm to try to get her an appointment this afternoon as I think her ear infection may have returned. Looks like no school tomorrow for her, poor wee thing. Obviously shopping trip has been binned, nevermind, it'll wait.

Have just phoned nursery where the new baby will be going from Oct or so, prices have gone up since Em was there - £30 for a morning session, £27.50 for the pm. Gulp. . We 'only' paid about £49 per day for Emily I'm sure. Got no choice though, it's a really good nursery, on my route to Em's school/my work, so have got to go there. Ah well, skint for another 5 years then!

MIABT - love the photo, ha ha! Love the way the puppy has his head next to yours as if in sympathy. Your dh is very cruel!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 20/02/2007 14:04

God, it has taken an age to catch up ladies.
How the devil are you all?

Emmy, I am sorry that you had a disturbed night. Hope Em feels better and you managed to get to the shop. I am finishing work on the 16th March. I am not dure until the end of April, but I just feel so warn out that I would like the time off before to chill - B will still attend preschool 3.5 days per week, so plenty of time for R&R.

MIABT - pmsl at the photo!! Classic.

Mammyjo, I am also watching a chair on ebay! I wonder if it is the same one.....

Claricebean - delighted your dh is back, but sorry to hear he is poorly. Just what you need eh.

Liath - I am sorry your appt didn't go well. I really hope you can have the birth exp, YOU want.

Love to everyone else I have failed to mention.

My head is like wool today. Because I had a bit of a dicky tum yesterday, I didn't eat or drink very much, so went to bed and woke up at 1.30 a.m. with a killer of a headache. Moved in to the spare bedroom as couldn't sleep, and took ages to drop off. Then B woke up WET - again! at 3.00 a.m. and again it took forever to get back to sleep as bean was tap dancing around.
So, feel knackered, feel like I have a cold on the way and the pain in my ribs at the back right hand side is unbearable! MOAN MOAN MAON!

Just want it OUT!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 20/02/2007 14:05

Emmymummy, sorry x posted with you. Poor Em, I hope the docs can sort her out. x

mammyjo · 20/02/2007 14:36

Ooooh SOSPL, maybe we will have a bidding war!! I am watching one which is for pick up in Cheltenham. Still quite far away from me but much closer than any of the others!

EM, hope you managed to get an appointment for this afternoon for Emily. Ds was poorly for over a week with raging temp, earache and horrible cough which aggravated his asthma. Ended up on antibiotics but still took him well over a week to get back to normal. Hope she feels much better soon.

mammyjo · 20/02/2007 14:38

YUM! Have just had a big mug of tea and two jammie dodgers! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Eddas · 20/02/2007 14:49

My god you lot talk thought i'd catch up, not too many pists I thought, then get to the end of the listing to see a new thread. That had 60+ posts taken me forever to catch uP!!

I had a crap nights slepp too so dh said don't go to work, drop dd off as usual and come home. Feel a bit naughty but I did (only 3 more working days now til ML) I then slept for 3 hours so guess I must have needed it!

Off to make a cup of tea now as Mammyjo made me want one. No jammy dodgers thought but have just eaten 2 twix(double ones) so don't think i should have anything else

Eddas · 20/02/2007 14:49

Oops too many posts!!! not pists!

charNbump · 20/02/2007 14:51

Thanks fro the advice yesterday ladies - and sorry if it was TMI!
Anyway....

Had midwife appointment today and after a weekend of people telling me i've dropped it turns out....i actually have! Was shocked to learn that bub has started engaging and is 4/5...blimey!I knew i felt different for a reason.
Anyone else started engaging yet? xx

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 20/02/2007 15:00

Mammyjo, the one I am watching is in Salisbury I think. Fingers crossed we get them eh. Problem is, the bidding ends on Saturday for this one, and we are at pil's house. I'll just have to be rude and be on their PC for a bit. I really WANT it!!

Wow, 4/5ths engaged Char. How exciting.

No idea what position baby is in or anything here!

charNbump · 20/02/2007 15:15

Can i interrupt and ask what kind of "chairs" you guys are so interested in? xx

mammyjo · 20/02/2007 15:20

They are the dutailier rocking chairs which are meant to be smooth glide. I dont desperately need one as I do have a standard rocking chair from ds but these look so much more comfortable and I am all for a bit of comfort especially for middle of the night feeds!!

SOSPL, the one I am watching doesnt end til next Tuesday I think so I will have to wait and see. If the bidding goes too high I will probably just leave it as its a luxury rather than an essential item!

Baby is head down but still free so not engaged but I think that this is normal when you have already had one or more children before. I think it may not engage its head until I actually go into labour.

Eddas · 20/02/2007 15:33

According to mw last wed my baby is head down and back to back. Not engaged but like mammyjo said think this is usual if it's not your first. Bump already feels really low to me so don't know what'll happen when it drops?! Feels like it's going to fall out anyway!!

mammyjo · 20/02/2007 15:36

Would be only too glad if mine was to make an appearance by just falling out but dont think I would be that lucky!! My bump is still really high with a big bum up in my ribs most of the time. It is making it increasingly difficult for me to wash my feet or cut my toenails etc! Exactly the same position with ds too. He was back to back, this one isnt just now so hoping it stays that way!

1becomes3 · 20/02/2007 15:44

One of mine is head down so far it feels like it is trying to head butt it's way out! The other is head in my ribs, trying to kick it's way out!

they are like my little ying and yang's

1becomes3 · 20/02/2007 15:52

Oh and on your little problem charnbump, I have the same thing bit
especially when DH pointed out a wet patch when we were out shopping!

Eddas · 20/02/2007 15:58

1b6, must be difficult for them both to be head down, you're having c/s though aren't you? think i would with twins.

I'd love this one to just fall out, have said before that dd took forever to get out and even then had to have forceps!!! Had cord round her neck though so probably couldn't get any further on her own, bless

1becomes3 · 20/02/2007 16:01

eddas 1becomes6 I bloody hope not!!!!!

charNbump · 20/02/2007 16:03

1becomes3 - i'm still a liitle anxious about that [blush[ problem, as i worry its my waters leaking.....prob just being paranoid, but i proper get full on wet (nice) undies. its not dodgy or funny coloured tho so.....and bub is still movin loads so....

I wish it would all just hurry up now as i'm gettin ever so slightly fed up wit pregnancy..i just want my little dude here now. Obviously i mean i wish the next few wks would fly by and not that i want him/her to arrive early.
And so not impressed i still have 4 wks of work left, tempted to bring ML forward a couple weeks
xxxxx

Eddas · 20/02/2007 16:03

Oops, sorry!!!

I did ask my mw if I had 3 in me, feels like it

1becomes3 · 20/02/2007 16:05

A friend of mine who had DT's, her's were both head down although one was further up and mashed into a corner by the other one, They get up to all sorts in there.

Eddas · 20/02/2007 16:07

The mind boggles at what they're doing. Keep saying to dh that I wish my tummy was transparent so I could see what it's doing. but he says i wouldn't want to. not sure why

1becomes3 · 20/02/2007 16:11

I think before your waters go or at the same time your membrane makes an apperance, that's the horrible brown Goooo that comes out.
I'm no expert.
My water's and membrane went at the same time so I'm not sure if that happens all the time or if it come before or after your waters break.
I will stop waffeling now not making much sense am I?!?

I think if your waters do go you will know about it, try not to worry too much, I know it is easier said than done, everytime I have a poo I am convinced that it is my body getting ready to do the big clear out thing.

1becomes3 · 20/02/2007 16:14

Eddas- My tum is not transparent I can see what the little buggers are up to, arms and legs everywhere!
Looks very odd with all the movement going on
