I also have done nothing for Christmas and am normally finished by now. Really need to get a move on. Think all shopping will be online this year.

We're planning a holiday to the south of Ireland in March - DH was more afraid about me flying than me!! Also have a weekend at the North Coast in January for my birthday.

Just had a brief first look at prams and car seats there - SO confusing!! This is all new to me, haven't a clue what I need to be looking for.

LorrieJ · 26/11/2016 09:53

Thanks Collie. I'm trying to be sensible about it as there were no other reasons evident on the scan to suggest I'm higher risk (nose bone etc present). I'm trying to focus on the convoluted message system we've set up. DH doesn't want to know the sex, I'm not sure, so I've asked they test for the sex but don't tell me. Which means they'll give results verbally and send our the report and mark the envelope so I know not to open it but have it available if my midwife wants to check.

Hee hee! Crisps. So much of pregnancy lacks glamour, it's far easier being open about it here!

Myfirstbornisacollie · 26/11/2016 13:16

We went to Rhodes for a week when I was 29 weeks pg with DD. It was fabulously relaxing and I was really well. Even traipsed up the acropolis at Lindos!
In retrospect I was a bit cavalier as didn't check out nearest hospital etc but don't regret going. I got a letter from my GP saying I was well but no one asked for it.
Lorrie we didn't find out sex last time but this time wanted to know excited to know we have a second DD on the way. At least we can focus our arguing about names 😬

Skee · 26/11/2016 13:52

Aww thanks Crisps, but if you saw the state of me you'd realise there's nothing impressive about it 😂

Don't worry about the TMI, if we can't TMI here, then where can you 😂

So chuffed to have two days off especially when I don't feel sick - tried my first run this morning since I was about 6weeks. Slow, and terrible pain in my lower back for some reason, but feeling great for getting out 😊

KittyVonCatsington · 26/11/2016 21:47

Lots of twins are just amazing!! On my May 2015 AN thread we had none!

I've been a good girl and done lots of Christmas shopping today I can't do things last minute with a 1 year old! Grin

Last time a went on two "Bumpmoons" to Bath and Cantebury. I know it's not abroad but I loved them so go for it if you can!

Hope you put your feet up for two days Skee

I have just LOVED all these scans!! Really pleased all are going well so far and to those who have had their EDDs punched to May-May babies are great too-I have one!!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 26/11/2016 22:17

I've only managed to eat a veggie burger in a bun today. I couldn't stomach anything else. I've lost half a stone already and keep hoping my appetite will perk up soon. It was made worse today as ds3 was up virtually all night feeling unwell and DH was as much use as a chocolate teapot. I'm not even currently on speaking terms with DH as he has been a selfish arse on and off for the last few weeks and he can't see he has done any wrong. Pregnancy hormones are not helping the situation,

MundayCakes85 · 26/11/2016 23:20

I'be gone off ketchup- it taked like brown sauce 😩 Last time it was baked beans, which I still can't eat!!
Last weekend off work before Christmas ft me, so making the most of doing bugger all. Might go to a Christmas market tomorrow.

themoonandsixpence · 27/11/2016 08:01

Mundaycakes we went to our Christmas market yesterday, I managed to walk the 6 miles (that's there and back) into town without feeling tired. A lil wee nap beforehand helped. It was so fun, although hubby would not let me eat any hot dogs or burgers. All I kept on saying was 'next year I'm gonna bring the baby and I'm gonna drink this and be able to eat that....'.

Does anyone else do this and on walks, imagine what it will be like to have a buggy in tow and be like 'oh we can't take this route when we have the baby as there's no footpath or these steps are too steep'?

VeganMama83 · 27/11/2016 09:55

Morning everyone.

Feeling a bit nauseous again today, thought it was passing too :-(

In good news tho, 2 sleeps til scan. Just wish hubby could come with me.

Congratulations Collie on your little girl! We've both convinced ourselves this is another girl, we should just check the results...

I thought the same Vegan right until I was sick yesterday. Gutted, but it's nowhere near as awful or intense as it had been. Feeling comparatively bouncy today.

Does anyone else occasionally feel like they've been kicked/ punched in the bladder or hop, or am I imagining things and it's way too soon? I'm not detecting movements as such, more feel like I've taken an invisible beating.

LorrieJ · 27/11/2016 10:14

moon I think I'd collapse I'd I tried to walk 6 miles! Impressed! Carriers or wraps could get around the steps...

Masweetpea1 · 27/11/2016 10:15

I was sick again yesterday. Thought i had passed this stage, but obviously not Sad. Along with a stinking headache feeling quite rotten today. Bleurghhhh!
13 weeks today!!

Dontstepinthecowpat · 27/11/2016 10:21

Hi all, thanks for the new thread Vegan.

I try to keep up with everyone's news and hope to post more proactively but life is so busy right now. We move house this week and go on holiday for Christmas so I must finish all the packing/shopping. 12 week scan tomorrow, can't wait till it's over we had a reassurance scan at 9 weeks but I'm still worried. I can't wait for the nausea to go away so I can feel semi normal.

Has anyone got their tree up yet - I've seen loads on fb but have to wait till we move.

Skee · 27/11/2016 10:25

I've certainly got the feet up today Kitty! Crawled back into bed with a book after breakfast Smile

Ok, TMI alert... really sorry, but wondering if anyone else is suffering with upset bowels? It's been a few days since I've had a proper poo Blush I'm feeling pretty gassy, and about three times since 3am on Friday morning, I've had really gassy diarrhoea, but I don't actually produce much Blush

Anyone else experiencing anything like this? I'm heading to the Alps tomorrow with work until Thursday, two flights there and back. I hate the thought of travelling like this 😩

Dontstepinthecowpat · 27/11/2016 10:37

Yes Skee I've been the exact same, it's horrible and I think that is adding to my nausea. A few times I've felt desperate but it's mostly wind. My stomach is groaning all the time.

''Tis all glamour

Skee · 27/11/2016 10:59

It's horrific! Sorry you're feeling the same dontstep, but it's a relief to know I'm not the only one!

Certainly not farting with confidence at the moment 😳😂

ymmv · 27/11/2016 11:23

How're people knowing if it's a son or daughter? I thought they didn't do that til later on?
(sorry, can't remember who)

And I like the idea of bumpmoons. We've just been in Birmingham for a few days at the christmas market - I basically ate all the doughnuts in lieu of beer. And I think we'll go to Dorset in Feb.

My migraines have calmed down. I don't think I've had one for 5 days. Star Still queasy and knackered and sore and emotionally all over the place.

Baby3soon · 27/11/2016 11:44

Hi, some lovely scan pics. Mine is Tuesday and I'm a little worried I've told a lot of people. I thought nausea was going but no, last few days its been back :( can't get my head into Xmas think I'm waiting for the scan 1st. I'm soooooo spotty I'm not normally and don't talk to me about weight gain I'm meant to be doing slimming world-try again when nausea goes. Who do I inbox for the Facebook group? X

NappingRabbit · 27/11/2016 12:38

dontstep my scan is tomorrow pm too. I also had a scan at 9 weeks to check on some cramping and all was well but the scanxiety is creeping in.

Baby3soon message Vegan for details of FB group. I also get spottier when pregnant but I'm not as bad so far this time as last time. I find i just get more greasy in general - need to wash my hair more often and my skin feels gross. So much for the 'glow'.

Mimi333 · 27/11/2016 15:00

Hi all, hope you're having lovely weekends.
baby3soon I've heard the theory is spotty skin & greasy hair means you're having a girl (although I have heard the exact opposite aswell Grin)

My nausea turned a point yesterday. six I have been just like you with food, but today & yesterday a bit better. Evenings seem to be the worst. I've also suffered with the worst thirst - like someone has poured salt into my mouth. But even that feels slightly better now.

Had some more bleeding last night Sad it wasn't as red as last week so I'm trying not to worry. It's not got any worse and no cramps or anything so fingers crossed. The sonographer said I'd certainly know about it if I was losing twins. Just makes me wonder why there's blood though.

HazyHazyJeans · 27/11/2016 18:37

lorrie I think I know what you mean about the weird feeling. When I'm lying in bed at night I feel a sort of pulsing. It's quite strange & hard to describe.

skee my BM are not good at the moment either. Either too much or too little, never just normal!

Good luck to those of you with scans this week. Still over two weeks until mine!!

Purplefairy21 · 27/11/2016 20:08

Thank you to whoever put the link on for the tomee tippee steriliser essentials kit for black Friday, I ordered it yesterday in black :) first thing I've bought for this baby. I think it was sweetpea who was been sick again today/yesterday. Sending hugs. Im in the same boat of thinking it was getting better and then bam. mimi hope that the bleeding stops soon.
Hope everyone isn't feeling too grim.

Purplefairy21 · 27/11/2016 20:10

Also 13 weeks today. The second trimester is in sight :)

LilyCat43 · 27/11/2016 20:51

Just marking :-) x

LorrieJ · 27/11/2016 22:39

ymmv possibly me re: knowing the sex. Standard scans don't show it this early. If you opt for the non-invasive fetal testing (company names Inc. Harmony, Iona, Nifty and about four others), this is a blood test that splits out placental / fetal DNA from your own and is possible from about 10 weeks. Given they're analysing DNA, they can tell the sex.

For anyobe else on the TMI thread of conversation, I've slowed down and am only going every three days. When I do go, I'm not constipated but I fear for the safety of our toilet. Every time I eat (healthy or not) I'm getting terrible gas at both ends which is making me feel really nauseous.
And I'm not even going there with the greasy, lank skin and hair thing. How are people dealing with that given we're not meant to use salisyc (sic) acid?
