Sorry to hear that Moose. Hope you get your harmony result quickly. Cat

NappingRabbit · 28/11/2016 18:28

Really sorry Moose, I had the NIPT last time and I know how stressful the wait for results is. I would think your age is a big contributing factor. A work colleague was pregnant at the same time as me with DS and the average risk for her age (38) was massively higher than mine (age 26) before any blood or nuchal results were accounted for. She had a similar adjusted risk as you, had the Harmony test and got the all clear. Hope you get results quickly to put your mind at ease.

Mooseville · 28/11/2016 18:40

Thanks guys. I had the harmony today, so it's about a weeks wait for the results...

Age is definitely a factor as according to one website I've googled just on my age alone it's 1:150, so add to that slightly high nuchal and slightly low PAPP A, I'm just hoping that's what's skewed it...

Passmethecrisps · 28/11/2016 18:41

Evening all.

That sounds very worrying moose. I have my fingers crossed for you and hope the week passes quickly

I heard today that one of my colleagues had a mmc last week. I feel devastated for her. Sad

MumofthreeandBean · 28/11/2016 19:08

Moose I hope all is fine once you get your next results, xxx

Mimi333 · 28/11/2016 19:15

Thinking of you moose. Similar thing happened to my sister as she is a bit older but all fine after the harmony test. Fingers crossed for you & try not to worry xx

HazyHazyJeans · 28/11/2016 19:25

Oh, goodness. The wait must be horrible moose. Fingers crossed for you x

Poppydm · 28/11/2016 19:43

Fingers crossed that everything is fine Moose x

MundayCakes85 · 28/11/2016 19:52

Fingers crossed the harmony results come back fine Moose. The waiting is the worst part.

Myfirstbornisacollie · 28/11/2016 20:01

Hope the wait goes quickly for you Moose and results are all ok xx

mrspage1985 · 28/11/2016 21:18

Fingers crossed moose Flowers

Masweetpea1 · 28/11/2016 22:30

Oh gosh moose, what a worrying time. Hope you're doing ok. Xx

KittyVonCatsington · 28/11/2016 22:52

Thinking of you Moose! I was 1:180 and all was fine. Am in my late 30s and age really does play a big part in those stats. Am sure all will be fine.

Catlady you will probably only hear at the 16 week appointment, even if rhesus negative as nothing needs to be done about that yet, just the necessary injections booked for later on. Each Trust seems to do things a little differently though!

Sounds like you are at risk Walker if you have never had it. I'd ring your midwives tomorrow for further clarification. Good luck!

Your poor colleague crisps-truly unfair Sad

Mooseville · 29/11/2016 06:00

Thanks everyone. Trying to focus on the positives that there aren't any huge indications. Let's hope this week goes quickly!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 29/11/2016 07:09

I hope everything goes well and you get good results moose Flowers

haveacupoftea · 29/11/2016 07:11

FX for you Moose Flowers

MrsPotatoHead80 · 29/11/2016 07:36

Feel for you Moose Flowers
My sister works in genetics for the NHS & suggested we go straight for the NIPT as she knew that because on my age & BMI I'd be likely to get a result that would worry me.
We should get the results this week

VeganMama83 · 29/11/2016 08:37

Hope the week goes quickly for you moose.

I'm 3 years old than when I had my youngest so I wonder how much my odds will have changed.

Scan at 2.45pm today Shock

hope the week goes quickly for you x my scan is at 11 today. I've heard about the spotty thing meaning a girl also my pregnancy seems to be similar to my daughters but I've heard it's sweet food for girl and savoury for boy (can't remember where lol) and I've only had one piece of chocolate and no biscuits since I found out because I'm just not interested. if everything goes ok today will be booking a private scan to find out the gender at 16 weeks (around new years eve) x

MumofthreeandBean · 29/11/2016 09:46

Good luck for those with scans, can't wait to see more bean pics xx

I love that a few of you are booking gender scans before Christmas, I could have one as early as 12th December but I'm going to wait until my 20week scan on 12th Jan, by then hopefully we might have completed our room change arounds to make room for the twins, then I can buy!!!!😂

Sat here thinking I just felt my first movements!!!! 14weeks is about right for twins isn't it?! Off to google....

oliversmummy26 · 29/11/2016 11:27

Good morning ladies,
I've just been to the loo (finally managed to "go" after a couple of days of nothing) it was fairly difficult and hurt a little on my left side.

But then there was some bright red/pink blood when I wiped...should I be worried??

Sixisthemagicnumber · 29/11/2016 11:37

Was the blood from your back passage olivers? Piles are sadly very common in pregnancy and would cause bleeding. It isn't anything to worry about but you might want to get something from the GP to shrink them and ease any discomfort.

oliversmummy26 · 29/11/2016 11:39

Definitely not from back passage six, came with a little discharge from my hoo ha Wink ...was quite stringy, just been again and got a tiny trace.
Waiting on a call back from the GP

Mommytobe2017 · 29/11/2016 13:33

Hi, I wondered where everyone had gone aha! New thread Smile

Thinking of you moose Flowers

Hope everyone is doing ok. Had my scan yesterday! Everything is fine. There is a baby in there after all! A bit stubborn, they struggled to get the nuchal reading. He/she kept turning their back to us...

It was funny though.

They've dated me at 11+5 so my due date is pushed to the 15th June

Passmethecrisps · 29/11/2016 13:38

Could it have been a burst vessel from pushing Oliver?

Good luck with the scans today!

I am very jealous of movements mummy. I would think with two of them in there you would feel things from pretty early. Is it true as well that any subsequent pregnancies you also feel earlier?

I am now a bit more worried than I was before about my scan after my colleague's sad news. I am also pre-emptively worrying about telling her and her being terribly upset. We would have been very close together in date so I can only imagine how hard that may be for her. I will think about it closer to my scan date.

I seem to have a small bump but I think it is pie more than pregnancy. Given just how delighted a cheese and coleslaw sandwich has made me (ham sandwich for breakfast - spotting a pattern anyone?) I suspect it is primarily carb
