Haven't done much research into car seats tbh, just went for the one that comes with the travel system, joie gemm. It has good write-ups. I did consider getting a stage 0-4 seat to stay in the car but everyone I spoke to said it's much handier having a portable one when they're small.

Today the baby appears to be using my cervix as a trampoline. Have to say it's not the most pleasant sensation...

I left my details on my first scan pic on here, don't think it got removed !?

Anyway getting bigger! Still got the gagging feeler every morning! I'm sure this passed quicker last time!

We are now looking into car seats, we were decided on the britax ?duo - from birth to 4 years, but now the practicality of having two in the car is making me think we need two carry type seats, I need room for dc in between the twins and if we all go out we need access to the seats in the boot which would mean using the boot door or taking a car seat out 😕
Bro in law has a maxi cosi pebble- but wondering what is a good value seat but obviously safe?? Any help ladies??

Been to mothercare today and sorted the carseat, a few babygros and a grosnug sleeping bag :). Think I'll hold off getting anything else for a while now but it's hard now I've started!

mumof3 aw it's alot of unknowns isn't it! Have you had a csec before? You're at the front of the buss too aren't you? So probably be our first babies!

biscuit I've been getting a lot of headaches, sometimes for days on end. It's really crap. I had one yesterday I was sure was going to turn in to a migraine as was getting quite bad and was feeling sick but thankfully it didn't. I'm sure mine must be hormonal as I got a migraine every time I got AF before being pg. I think make sure you're drinking a enough and also eating regularly as blood sugar levels can give you one too but apart from that there's jot much you can do unfortunately:(.

Anyone suffering with headaches? I'm getting a bad one about once a week and generally on a Sunday, which wipes me out for the whole day. Can't work out if it's something I'm eating differently at weekend or whether it's just because my bodies more relaxed. It's very odd.

moonlight
With fraternal twins they have told me they closely monitor health and growth,if either are a concern they induce.
They don't like you to go over 37weeks,as they stop growing and tend to start losing weight.
Of course they also keep an eye on positioning, if presenting twin is breech they usually c sec- if 2nd twin is breech but first head down then they can turn twin 2 after twin 1 is born.

I am thinking about sterilisation after these two so depending what the procedure is I might just opt for c sec for both anyway but have to wait for next twin clinic to discuss that.

six 😂 it's difficult isn't it, I don't want her wasting her money!

missis I saw that and thought it was crazy too! Plus with the ridiculous portions of carbs and protein too I don't understand how you are meant to eat that much of everything everyday and not be eating too many calories!?

So it wasn't the Last Puke after all Sad

On another note, the Ovia app is telling me I should be eating 12 portions of fruit and veg a day. 12! How is that even possible? Even on a largely vegetarian diet I barely manage 5

baby I also get backache in the evening. I tend to use a hot water bottle when sitting on the sofa. I also have aching thighs and groin as though I have been running. Chance would be a fine thing!

I feel your pain moonlight my mum is already putting together a baby basket despite us not having the 20 week scan yet and still having most of ds3 stuff which we will reuse. I told her not to buy any jonhnsons stuff because I don't use it on my babies (and she always buys me loads) and not to buy any bibs because she bought me loads with ds3 and as a breastfed baby we rarely used a bib so they are all virtually new. She has already bought bibs!

biscuit we had the 20 week scan yesterday and she was banned from buying anything until after then which is why she was straight out today! Will do six!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 14/01/2017 17:00

Just ask your mum to buy a range of sizes moonlight so you don't end up with a mountain of newborn stuff.

Mojitos i'm finding it so hard not to buy anything for baby, which is why I think i'm overindulging a bit on maternity wear. I have decided that once we've had our 20 week scan on the 24th and everything's ok then I will purchase a few. We've also signed up to the mama's and papa's new parent event on 12th Feb. I thought it may be worse last night adjusting to the pillow.

walker always a new thing to worry about isn't there! Hope yours moves too.

mumof3 how does it work with twins? Do they let you go to 40 weeks still with extra monitoring or will they induce early? I've never known anyone with twins :). My best friend has shared that they're going to start trying later this year and she's worrying about twins (because she's terrified of pregnancy and birth anyway!) As she has them in the family and her DHs. He is a twin himself.

biscuit I've had backache down my left side for a week now and I'm sure it's my pregnancy pillow. It's so much more comfortable than without but I think I'm just getting used to sleeping on my side when I've always slept on my front before.

Been shopping with my mum today as she was so impatient to start buying things (first grandchild!). I had to tell her to put several things back as it was too much! Now have 3 packs of babygros and a few packs of socks... I bet she will go back for more anyway Hmm.

Went shopping with my friend today and found some bargain maternity jeans in the red herring range 2 pairs cost me £17! Also got some bits in the sale online in DP this week. Think thats my maternity wardrobe done now. I only have a small bump so far and i'm convinced is more bloat than bump but normal jeans and trousers are just so uncomfortable now. Im 18+6 today i'm sure i'm starting to feel more movement really wiggling last night.

Suffering with backache at night, my L pillow from amazon arrived yesterday, not sure it helped as it felt worse this morning, but I think that may be because I sat on a dining room chair all day working from home. I'm due on the 12th so mid bus for me.

Thanks adler I'm hoping it's the Last Puke too. My own fault though, I was sitting about instead of eating my breakfast
