Like the new name MammyJo! Yey for ridding yourself of bunk bed Geordie!!

Gotta, go DD2 is awake and demanding me!!!

"MAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 09/02/2007 13:01

Afternoon all.

1b3, what a nightmare for you getting stuck like that. Hope you are ok.

Maveta, I have been getting those blood sugar level drop nightmares. I did when I wasn't pregnant, but it is a lot worse now. I am having porridge for breakfast, but come 9.30 a.m. I am a shaking wreck and need food again! It's a bloody pain really, as I also never feel it coming on. I had to eat a cake before paying for it in Tesco's the other day

Birdie, sorry you are feeling a bit pants again - hope having the bed to yourself made up for it, and you feel on top of the world.

CD - congrats to dd on the poo on potty - lots of gold stars!

GMM - you sound well organised. I am beginning to panic now. Need to pull my finger out.

Mammyjo - sorry your ds is still poorly. Hope he is better soon.

Liath - how was the remainder of your birthday?

MIABT - how was the take-away?

Hello to anyone I have missed - apologies.

I am tired again as slept really badly. B was coughing last night as well, and whilst it doesn't seem to bother her, it bothers me! Dh was oblivious to it all and snored quietly to himself. Love him!

Right, need to do work. Back later.

weeonion · 09/02/2007 13:09

dp has just sent me a soppy email.. his colleague who had a wee girl on the 23rd dec has been intot the office. he has NEVER seen or held a baby that small. he ended up crying, cant belive how beaut she is and that she "had everything - wee eyelashes and fingernails!" and now just wants our wee one to be here. he is a blubbing wreck and has had to lie to the other contracters that he has a cold. bless him.

Bramshott · 09/02/2007 13:34

Haven't read whole thread but just checking in to say "hi" before the weekend.

WO - awwww to your DH - that's lovely!

GMM - glad it's not just me! I am in despair with myself that I have so much to do in the next few weeks before I finish work that it's keeping me awake at night, but still can manage to come on here to read threads when I'm supposed to be working!!

CD - glad the potty training is going well.

Sympathy to all suffering the blood-sugar madness. I've just eaten a plate of pasta, a fairy cake, and a pear in about 5 minutes flat, and just sitting here waiting for them to hit my stomach and make me feel less light-headed!

Apologies to everyone I haven't mentioned! Hope you all have a good weekend.

31+5 and roll on the end!!!

maveta · 09/02/2007 13:54

Glad to know it's not just me being dizzy and all that.. although obviously would be more glad that none of us felt like this! If you know what I mean...My boss was really good about me not driving and said I can get taxis or pay someone to take me if I need to go further afield. Sounds good to me!

WO - how sweet of your dp!

Only 2 hours left today.. have just had lunch with a girlfriend and saw her sometimes-flatmate who I haven't seen in ages. He said another of our friends is back in town and we all made plans to meet up tonight for dinner. But I regretted it almost instantly.. I would love to go out with them but it would mean going home (40 mins train), waiting 1.5hrs for dh and then 30 min drive back in. And if I'm no longer driving then dh can't drink either. Pants. Think it's pizza and tv. Again. Pah.

geordiemacminx · 09/02/2007 14:19

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack... although I wish I had stayed at bloody work!!

Here goes,.. some friday entertainment...

Went up to Motherdontcare..no curatins.. unable to order them, or tell me when or indeed if they will be instock..

Went across to sainsburys..got a few bits of shopping..loaded it onto the belt, only reaslising too late that the resident half wit (sorry not very politically correct I know) is at the other end packing bags.. normally I avoid her like the plague.. but hey ho too late.. anyway I try and rescue my shopping to no avail.. she starts telling me off so I let her get on with it.. get to the car and realise that she has put 2 items in every bag... so I have about 15 bags of shopping.. arghhhhh so I stand in the cold and re pack it all!!!

Ok so I'm cold and stressed now.. I'll go to burger king and get a quick drive through.... only no its the bastard school holidays (havent they only just gone back???) so the place is mobbed... cant get within 200 yards of drive through.. so I park up and dash inside.. well I say inside, they are queueing out of the door... so back to the car, cold stressed and HUNGRY!!

Deceide to call in at the scabby van near work and get curry sauce and chips..mmmmmmm only every hairy arse trucky and his mate is there, complete with articluated lorry so I cant get parked anywhere near.. had to go round the block twice!!!

EVENTUALLY get chips and curry, and back to work before I have a corrinary!!!

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 09/02/2007 14:33

Oh GMM, pmsl - not at you obviously!

What a day! The kids down here have got another week of school before they break-up, so it's well early up there.

Can so empathise with the supermarket worker. There are just some people who should not be employed in ANY job!

Hope the chips and curry sauce were good after all that!

geordiemacminx · 09/02/2007 14:41

I'm all for giving people with special needs the same opportunites as everyone else but she drives everyone insane, she latches onto you and follows you round the supermarket, yabbering away even though you cant understand a word she says... its more annoying and embarrasing than anything, especially when you are in a rush and harrassed!!!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 09/02/2007 14:46

The thing about the carrier bags is maddening. I get Tesco to deliver, and I'll find that they put 2 things in one bag, pack one so full I can barely lift it, and then some items are loose! What's all that about? The loose stuff was stuff like chicken and stuff that I don't really like touching, and would have thought would have been more suited to being in a carrier bag.
STUPID!

maveta · 09/02/2007 14:51

In the supermarkets here the cashier passes the food over the scanner and straight into a bag which then separates and moves down a conveyer belt to you at the end. They ALWAYS put like two items in each bag, or even one item on its own, and I have to stand at the end of the belt repacking it all so I don't go home with 20 carrier bags. It's so wasteful.

So I'm not sure how much had to do with the girl being special needs and how much had to do with some really weird supermarket worker mentality that the more bags the better! Somewhere along the line they must have ALL been issued a memo about people's bags being too full and breaking so they're going the other way!

geordiemacminx · 09/02/2007 14:52

Oh let me tell you a story about Tesco... about this time last year I started a new job so had shopping delivered between 7-9.. weather was like it has been the past couple of days.. anyways 9.30 guy knocks on the door

"sorry I'm late, the doors on the van came open... I think I've managed to get most of your stuff that fell out though"

Honestly you have never seen anything like it in your life - half of the stuff had tyre marks on it... the fruit was squashed to a pulp, most of the bottles of juice that I ordered had holes in them, or exploded all over the porch floor... it was a nightmare!!

If it wasnt for the fact that we had nowt in, and that it was getting so late I would have told him to poke the whole lot.. needless to say I was straight on the phone to customer services and managed to get the whole lot refunded!!

I can laugh about it now, cos its like something out of fawlty towers but at the time I was absolutely raging!!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 09/02/2007 14:59

Geordie, tears of laughter!!! That has brightened up my day no end! I assume you no longer have Tesco deliver! Or rather Tesco deliver - shit!

weeonion · 09/02/2007 15:06

lol gmm. who wants their food unopened, their packets whole and their fruit in one piece anyhow!

geordiemacminx · 09/02/2007 15:10

actually I do still use Tesco... mainly cos I am too lazy to go and get the stuff myself half the time!!!!

1becomes3 · 09/02/2007 15:49

Hello all. Have had DD out in the snow again, thank god my parents came round to take her out I would have gone bloody potty stuck inside with her wanting to go out. Bit too dangerous for me to attempt walking out there very slippery.

I have got over my being stuck last night, although it seems to be DH's time to be stuck as he has buggered off to Wales and they have closed the m4, so lets hope I don't drop my sprogs till the re-open it.

ooogs-I am 30 weeks on monday so I offically only have the maximum of 8 weeks left, they haven't booked my c-section yet but the consultant say it will be 37 to 38 weeks, the sooner the better if you ask me.
Are you having a nautral birth?
Apparently the average for twins is around 34 weeks!?! (fingers crossed)

1becomes3 · 09/02/2007 15:52

just read your post Wo about your DH that is so sweet.
My Dh couldn't stop blubbing when he saw DD for the first time.

geordiemacminx · 09/02/2007 16:13

10weeksandcounting · 09/02/2007 16:42

Evening everyone

Well - a thought for the day! Thou shallt not chuckle at 1b3s misfortune at getting stuck on the floor - I went to bed at about 11pm, felt sick - wide awake til 2am, tried to be sick in the dark, but nothing would come up, got back into bed with dh, then ds2 promptly arrived and positioned himself between us - so moved into his bed and eventually fell asleep at 3am

Then up at 7am as had work today - very grumpy! Then on way to work there was a really terrible accident with loads of ambulances, fire engines etc - which prompted uncontrollable crying for about an hour including at work.

Felt sick at lunchtime - now completely knackered and praying dh comes home at a reasonable time. In fact think may have a glass of wine.

Good news - day and half left at work

Must go sort out boys - fighting has commenced!

10weeksandcounting · 09/02/2007 16:44

Thankyou Katy44 for cd - arrived this morning - just what I need!

liath · 09/02/2007 16:51

Grr, on the theme of useless delivery men have just got back from work to find card from parcelforce syaing they'd tried to deliver a parcel while I was out so left it in the wheelybin ! It was the brown recycling wheelybin but even so. Naturally the bin is empty (was expecting a delivery of £70 of baby stuff so am not happy), phoned parcelforce - can't do anything about it till monday & they'll phone me back then (apparently, will believe that when I see it). Bloody numpties.

1b3 hope you've recovered from being stuck, sounds horrible. Aaaw at your DP, weeonion - bet he blubs at the birth, too.

10weeksandcounting · 09/02/2007 16:58

So they left it in the bin and its gone?

maveta · 09/02/2007 17:11

I can´t believe they´re just allowed to drop stuff off wherever they see fit like that, don´t they need a signature?? A delivery I got sent to my sister´s house was left on the side doorstep, not hidden away even or anything, just sitting there. Thank God it was at least there but still

1becomes3 · 09/02/2007 17:19

this

Just I thought I would share my little DD in her home made sledge.
Herts county council are going to be soooo please when they see how DH made on of the lids of the recycling boxes into a sledge for DD.

1becomes3 · 09/02/2007 17:27

Right ladies I am going to have to love you and leave you for the weekend I am being shipped off to my mums and they don't have a computer that works!!!!!!!

So don't get up to anything too exciting while I am away.

weeonion · 09/02/2007 19:03

1b3 - hope you have a lovely weekend - all pampering and feet up. no geting down on the floor with cushions mind!

liath - cant believe parcel force. what the heck we pay postage for i dont know - they might as well fling it out a window and hope it gets here! hope you get it sorted but it must be annoyingto thinkthat it will take awhile to arrive again. give them hell lady!

our postie no longer seems capable of carrying a parcel to the door. all we get is the red card - the day after he says he tried to deliver (funny i have caught him pushing it through the door so blatantly was in) i work, dp works so it has to be left to the weekend and guess what - we both sometims work so - have to wait a couple of weeks. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
