Thanks all! And thanks for the details on the car seat London. Appreciate it!
Might go back to hunting for alternatives then!

CeeCeeEnnEss · 18/11/2016 14:18

Oh London my husband would love access to Which? I think you and he shop in a similar way (lots of research). I am a gut feel Buyer (it's actually my job!) and I drive him nuts.

We're currently looking at cars and I've test driven two and I like one. So now, for me, it's about getting the best deal. But apparently I need to test drive many others first! Who can be arsed?!

teabagsmummy · 18/11/2016 16:18

I hAd my 28 week appointment with modify today, I measuring 30 weeks! She said either my dates were a bit out or it's a big baby! In hoping it's the 1st my dh was nearly 11lbs when he was born . My ds was 6lb but 3 weeks early

hibernatingdormouse · 18/11/2016 17:00

Teabags I'm also measuring quite large, 29 weeks today and measuring about 30. I'm choosing to believe the dates are wrong, after all the dates were worked out initially via a scan, just depends on how fast your baby grows at certain points in pregnancy.

Mysterycat23 · 18/11/2016 18:02

teabags babies have growth spurts don't they? At least I feel they do, I will feel fine for a week and then suddenly wake up very heavy and moody which feels like a hormone surge/growth spurt!

kikisdelivery · 18/11/2016 18:29

I also measured ahead at my 25 week appt - 26cm, so not much! But my 28wk appt is Monday... will see what's happened then!

LondonGirl83 · 18/11/2016 18:32

ceecee both dh and I are like that. Shopping is super slow! The only thing I buy fast is clothes :)

Teabags, my bumps massive now! My DH was also 11lbs and my baby has been measuring large from 20 weeks, particularly in girth Confused. I've not put much on so I know she was just destined to be big and chubby!

LondonGirl83 · 18/11/2016 18:43

Does anyone have a recommendation for a small changing bag? I've bought a bugaboo bee 3 which doesn't loads of storage. We bought this for the handles www.bugaboo.com/GB/en_GB/strollers/accessories/detail/bugaboo-organizer?colour=GM

but would like a small changing bag too for un

Readyfortwo · 19/11/2016 05:14

One of my friends didn't have a changing bag at all & just used a wallet like this:

www.melobaby.com/mobile/Category.aspx?id=1837

It was great as she could pop it into whatever bag she was using & it was pretty discreet if she or her DH wanted to take it to change the baby.

teabagsmummy · 19/11/2016 08:50

I haven't put any weight on from my 24 week appointment and have recently felt like the baby has went through a growth spurt. I always felt I ovulated earlier than they said as after my last mmc my af had been really erratic, my midwife said if I get any pains like i did on Sunday I've to go straight in

LondonGirl83 · 19/11/2016 10:04

Thanks ready. That might work

teabags I wish I could blame it on dates but my cycle is like clockwork and I was ovulation tracking. I know exactly that it was one of two 'sessions' a couple days apart that she was conceived and it matches my dates exactly

Loolypop123 · 20/11/2016 08:24

Morning! I have found this thread and would like to join the Facebook chat also please. First pregnancy, due 4th Feb. We are not finding out what we're having, found out at 20 weeks that baby has a cleft so been having a lot more scans hoping no one lets slip if we having a boy or girl Smile

twocatsandatoddler · 20/11/2016 08:42

Welcome Looly! If you PM me with the name associated with your Facebook account I can add you.

Morning ladies. Feel like I'm falling apart here. Still have sickness and nausea (still on medication), have bad coccyx pain, have piles Blush, and feel generally knackered 24/7.

And still have so much building work and stuff to buy. Not even ordered a cot yet.

Mysterycat23 · 20/11/2016 11:21

ready the changing wallet looks very grown up and practical, love it! Might splash out ..

Diva sorry to hear you're having a crap time. When is your building work due to finish? Hope it's running to schedule. We don't have a cot yet either, just clothes so far. Far too exhausted to address any of that. Plus we have nowhere to put it atm due to carpet being laid.. looks like a hoarders paradise.. Have been adding to baby wish list on Amazon when I come across useful things and will edit down/sort it later. Making a list always makes me feel more in control. Is there anything else the dr can give to control the symptoms? For constipation dr said there's a range of things to try and luckily the first one she prescribed seems to work well.

Evergreen17 · 21/11/2016 08:08

Ok so I know that everybody gets colds blah blah blah blah but I AM IN HELL. I have had the worst cold for days now, missed two days of work but worked this weekend and it was just horrible. I have a day off today but have to be back at work tomorrow. I cant sleep because my nose is completely blocked. All blocked. I have awful back pain as well.
I am doing vapours non stop but not helping at all. I am losing my mind. I have to go back to work tomorrow and I am going crazy. I just need to rant. I just cant deal with the back pain and this cold and the stupid train strikes and work SadSadSad
Why. Why.

twocatsandatoddler · 21/11/2016 08:22

Sorry you're feeling rubbish Evergreen. Hope you feel better soon, colds are horrible.

I came down with an awful cold over the weekend and it kept me awake most of the night so I'm really struggling on the train into London this morning. Wish I could have a day in bed but I don't feel ill enough to call in sick and work is really busy at the moment so I'm just having to struggle through.

I blame DS - he's had a river of snot running down his face for a week or two so it was only a matter of time before I caught it. So many bugs going round at nursery at the moment! Funnily enough he's never been bothered by colds so is always really cheerful even when full of snot and phlegm, and he never needs any medication and still sleeps well, whereas if DH or I catch one from him we're totally floored by it!

Evergreen17 · 21/11/2016 08:53

Ahhh thanks twocats I blame DH. He always catches all the colds and he gets pretty sick. He has asthma as well so he ends up sick for week. So of course after 2 weeks of sharing his germs with me I caught it.
I am actually secretly mad at him Envy
First day of the third trimester!!!! But already hating it! I was hoping to get away with no back pain Sad

kikisdelivery · 21/11/2016 09:57

I am so much more tired again!!

Mind you, I did wake up today at 5am for no reason, worrying about how it'd be when the bub is here, if I'd hear him crying in the night and would wake up (hah!) and if I'd be any good at this mothering thing. Yep... good old early-hours pregsomnia brain... Our bedroom is really stuffy too, no matter how wide we leave the windows open. The immersion tank and thermostat controls are in a cupboard in our room, so I suspect they add a lot of heat even though we try to keep it cool in there. It makes for a very broken sleep!

LondonGirl83 · 21/11/2016 12:45

Sorry to hear so many of you are struggling! I had a big pre-Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday for 10 which left me exhausted! I made three pies, turkey, stuffing, Mac and cheese, cranberry sauce and candied sweet potatoes which meant cooking without a real break for over 5 hours! I made some stuff from the night before but cooking that much is crazy

LondonGirl83 · 21/11/2016 12:46

It turns out though that my friends also planned my surprise baby shower for the following day! It was an amazing weekend but I could do with a couple of days off to recover now!

Evergreen17 · 21/11/2016 15:10

Ahh London Thanksgiving dinner sounds lovely!!! Smile
You had a baby shower too???

Ok I dont know how to walk anymore
I drove to the shops todayGrinGrin first drive on my own Grin and then I walked a bit and I couldnt. My back is so sore and tense and my lower bump feels uncomfortable
Is this normal? Are people walking funny???

LondonGirl83 · 21/11/2016 15:24

It sounds like you are developing Pelvic Girdle pain. Let your midwife know and she can refer you for some physio therapy where they will give you exercises to do. Even though they are annoying doing them even a couple of times a week can make a huge difference. Pelvic tilts in particular are really good for your lower back.

Congrats again on driving! I'm so jealous as I haven't even started lessons yet... It was just one thing too many on my list of things to get done before the baby arrives. I'm going to start in January and when I begin working from home, I'm going to try to squeeze in a lesson every afternoon. I'm hoping that even if I can't pass the test before the baby arrives in mid Feb, I'll have done enough that I can maybe pass during maternity leave (wishful thinking)

Evergreen17 · 21/11/2016 15:37

Ahhh London do try the lessons if you can. I too thought even if I dont pass before bubba comes I will do it when I am on maternity leave Smile Very happy as I am terrible at tests and I thought I would never pass.
So this pelvic griddle pain you speak about... I thought that was only the pelvis that hurt. Oh dear.
I was seeing the doctor tomorrow but do you think it is better to ask the midwife instead???
My job involves a lot of walking and even standing up hurts Sad
Should I cancel the doctors appointment and see midwife instead on the 28th w appointment on Thursday?
