I have a tens going spare with new pads if anyone wants it? Had it for last time round and won't need it this time Grin

How much for it Dartmoor. Been looking at getting one.

I can't believe how quick the time is going. Got a growth scan on Friday and taking my 3year old who is very excited.

DartmoorDoughnut · 05/10/2016 21:27

Happy to just post it on love a friend gave it to me and I used it in early labour, another friend borrowed it and used it for relieving her spd and during early labour but she's sent it back with new pads. Just pop it back to me afterwards in case original friend wants it back?!

Hello,

I think I've been on Mumsnet for over a year now... but somehow I've only just found that this section exists!

I'm due 13th Dec with a little girl, my first child although I already have a stepdaughter who's almost 5.

Wow, new thread and onto the second page already!!

notaclue Wow! Congratulations!!

Mozfan I've had a similar consultant experience, hope you get a better one next time. You have the right to insist on a caesarean if that's what you want, regardless of their opinion.

Grapefruit 2 weeks and 2 days until I finish work and counting every day!!!!

Lily here you go -

Dartmoor I didn't think of using the tens for SPD pain, a friend has lent me one so I might try that!!

I've finally got my physio appointment tomorrow. If they don't give me crutches so I can actually leave the house without current pain levels I might actually cry!!

Aww that's lovely news notaclue. Glad you're little girls are doing well. Brilliant news

sueevone · 06/10/2016 03:10

Congratulations notaclue on the safe arrival of your girls!!

I've been up all night cause LO will not stop kicking my stomach and ribs, it's making me feel like I'm going to throw up. I'm chuffed to bits he's nice and active but is it possible for a baby to move around too much?
I'm too scared to google it cause Dr Google does more harm than good. The only way I can get him to calm down a bit is by sitting up in bed which means I can get any sleep Confused.

Report
StubbleTurnips · 06/10/2016 07:30

Sounds normal sue - DD was like that at night. This one is a bit more restful at night so I'm hoping it's an indicator that he may sleep!

I keep waking up with cramp in my calf, 3 times last night. It kills.

Report
Nojo82 · 06/10/2016 08:18

Mine is quite active at night too.

Gosh stubble i forgot about cramps, so far i havent had any but im sure i will at some stage..

Report
Mejse · 06/10/2016 09:24

Congratulations notaclue!

sue I am getting lots of rib kicks too.

I have my growth scan in about an hour and I am feeling so nervous! DH can't make it because of some stuff at work so I will be alone. It's mostly to check that he is still growing well but also to double check that they can't find any other abnormalities and see how his foot is looking now.

Report
SolomanDaisy · 06/10/2016 09:42

Good luck with the scan mejse, I hope he's growing well.

Report
OrianaBanana · 06/10/2016 09:56

My legs seem to cramp up any time I stretch them in bed Confused. Movements are dying down a little now, which is slightly worrying but I suppose she just has a little less space...

Report
Mejse · 06/10/2016 11:19

My scan went really well he is 3lb 5oz at 29+0 so on the big side. His head and stomach measure above average and legs under but all within the normal range. I have another appointment next week with a doctor to look at his feet in more detail and to find out what the plan is for when he is here. I am feeling much more optimistic now Smile

Report
DartmoorDoughnut · 06/10/2016 11:26

Fab news mejse

barking it really helped her, just on the lowest setting obvs!

My little one wakes up and plays all night, his brother was the same, think he's preparing me for a few months of no sleep again ... Joy!

Report
TinyTickler · 06/10/2016 11:58

Stubble I have the leg cramps too - fairly sure my husband thought I was in labour with the fuss I made jumping out of bed at 3 am the first time it happened. It's bloody agony!

Report
happydays00 · 06/10/2016 13:19

Yes to the leg cramps - especially when I stretch them!

My LO does not seem to stop moving! It's latest favourite thing to do is to kick her feet under my ribs which causes a fuzzy sort of vibrating thing on one side. The midwife said she has most likely got her foot wrapped round a nerve and is playing with it Grin it's getting uncomfortable now!

Report
veryfriendlylion · 06/10/2016 13:31

stubble...I definitely know what you mean about the leg cramps! I used to get it when I did 15 hours shifts in the trauma unit and on my feet all day, but that was theee years ago and forgot how horribly painful it is in the middle of the night.

There's a little boy with ADHD and ASD who I see in the surgery at school and he can be a little physical when he's overexcited; I told him today he needs to be careful because he might make the baby jump...he subsequently sniffed my tummy whilst making t-Rex noises then kissed it...it made me weirdly emotional!

Sympathies to those with the leg cramps, I remember last time that dehydration and not enough salt can make them worse so I'm drinking loads today not hopeful and eating crisps.

Why is it always in the middle of the night?! It's hard enough to sleep as it is without this.

congratulations and good luck, notaclue! can't believe babies have arrived already. i think you've got many of us scrambling to get the hospital bag sorted.

nojo my DH also has a big list of things to get done arond the house. i love it because he is nesting.
my EDD is new year's eve - not quite the same as christmas day but i still get loads of comments about it. i'm pretty over it, tbh.

got my GTT tomorrow. i'm fairly relaxed about it, except that having an empty stomach sets off morning sickness and i really don't want to be vomiting in the hospital,

in any case, i'm just delighted to be seeing anyone about this baby because all my appointments have been late. booking in wasn't until sixteen weeks (this is my first child) and my "28 week" appointment is halfway through the 31st week!
