Also south can't remember if this is our first, sorry, am worried that my toddler (2) can get to the baby too easily in a co-sleeper and hurt him accuser islet or on purpose due to much feared sibling jealousy? Anyone had co-sleepers or low cribs and also has a toddler?

london I've got dd (2) but I wasn't that worried about the bedside cot. I am worried about co sleeping as dd comes into our bed like a silent ninja at night, and I'd be worried that one of the 3 of us would squash new baby.

Went to bed at 6 tonight as I was exhausted. I keep dropping off and then waking up almost immediately. It's so frustrating.

London got it from Amazon Germany, it worked out about £140 with the mattress (the mattress is machine washable too). Just change to language to English and it's easy!

Here's the cot: www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B000OKPH22/ref=pd_aw_sim_75_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=XKS48FDEK8B700ZMYNRP&th=1

Thanks, South! Btw hope you get s good nights sleep tonight.

Won't believe what I just did, bought the exact same cot we had for DD, which we then sold on gumtree when she grew out of it 18 months ago, thinking it'd probably be a whole beige we had our second child! Grin it's not quite as fancy as the baby bay, but It's cheaper (£65 and£30 for delivery) and it has the plus point that it can be both a bed side sleeper and a normal cot with four sides, although I think it's quite narrow when the 4 sides are on, whereas the baby bay is nice and wide. But my indecisive mind likes having the options! shours have just kept it the first time around.

Went to bed early after very little sleep last night but woke up at 1.20am and still not back to sleep Sad
Have managed to bid on a couple of snowsuits and a couple of grobags on eBay though!!

I would really like a cot that fits to the bed but we have been passed on an Amny Hammock so it seems silly to buy something else. If I manage to breastfeed successfully though it might be worth the purchase just to not have to get out of bed to feed the baby.

Still arguing with myself over buying a stokke highchair and newborn set! It's so expensive, but I do think we'd get years of use out of it, and having the newborn set would be great for putting the baby in while I'm cooking/baking in the kitchen as she'd be safely out of the way of the dog.

I've managed to get pretty much everything else second hand or in a ridiculous sale, so one little voice keeps telling me to just buy it!!!

StubbleTurnips · 14/11/2016 07:41

Sorted London!

I need to get on eBay for snowsuits!! I had loads for DD but sold them all.

Do they keep their value for selling on barking? Everyone I know who bought a fancy high chair, after a while went and purchased an IKEA one too as they're much easier. I so badly wanted the triptrap one.....

Report
SouthDownsSunshine · 14/11/2016 08:18

I hope you got back to sleep ok barking. I spent most of the night awake, just my body preparing me Grin

barking if it's the tripp trapp it's ace. We have so much use from ours, several times a day every day. Price per use is probably about 0.2p! I've another one for this baby, as dd still uses hers and will do for a while yet.

Report
barkingtreefrog · 14/11/2016 08:21

stubble they definitely do, as I haven't found one on eBay for less than £80+ yet, and that's the coloured ones, a lot go over £100 (and most are local collection only so there's not a lot of choice) but everyone I know who has one is still using it years later - my next door neighbour's eldest is 9 and she still sits on it at the table!!
We haven't spent any money on a travel system or a cot etc, I might just think of it as treating myself and take it out of my account not the joint account (before SMP kicks in and I feel really poor!!)

Report
StubbleTurnips · 14/11/2016 08:46

Then I'd be tempted too barking, our deciding factor in choosing things if it holds its value - we do it!! Not that I've sold anything other than nice clothes, but it'll all be going after this baby.

Nojo82 · 14/11/2016 09:25

Morning everyone. Hope all is well. I just bought the ikea high chair as my sister raves about it. Was going to go to ikea this morning but no1 to go with me. I really need a wardrobe for babys clothes, i have a chest of drawers but i have clothes that need hung up. Its an hours drive so suppose i better not go on my own..

Ive had green discharge this morning, is it anything to worry about?

Report
KitKat1985 · 14/11/2016 09:49

Morning all! Thank you for your nice messages. Am feeling a bit better now and the nipple shields seem to be really helping DD feed so she's much more settled now, so that's obviously helping. Also trialled yesterday seeing if baby DD would take a bottle of expressed milk, and she did, which is a huge bonus as it means DH can do the odd feed for me and give me a break sometimes.

Have got a health visitor coming this morning for a 'pre' baby check, although obviously it's no longer going to be a 'pre' baby check. Then seeing midwife this afternoon. Am hoping baby DD is putting on weight now as on her 3-day weight check she was down to 5 lb 5oz. She's so tiny all her newborn clothes look huge on her!

Nojo I'd let your midwife know about the green discharge as it could indicate an infection.

Had the consultant today, confirmed baby isn't breech - but had protein in my sample, bp all normal so they think it's another UTI.

Just back from hospital. Discharge was really getting to me, some green today. So ive got the start of a uti but they've sent it off so not starting me on antibiotics until it comes back from lab. Also got bad thrush and theyve taken a swab..

Was put on monitor and baby happy.. but i was concerned as his heartbeat seemed a bit erratic. Going from 150-188. They didnt seem concerned but i thought it was high at times..

Lovewatchingrainfall · 14/11/2016 21:12

Oh no nojo sorry to hear about the Uti but at least you got the discharge checked.

Been getting loads of pressure down below and really struggling with my breathing. 36weeks today and am counting down the time but knowing my luck I will go over.

How are all the babies doing??

Can't believe another thread is nearly full.

The builders have finished!!!!! I had a bit of a hormonal meltdown yesterday as I am so fed up of my house being in a state, but they have finally finished!! Grin

Decorator is coming tomorrow at 7:30am, and the carpet fitters at 9 (decorator will just have to take a tea break while the carpet is being fitted!) and then I can build the baby's furniture. Such a relief, I'm 37 weeks now and I've been so anxious and stressed about not having the work finished, as we'd originally agreed a mid September deadline.

It also means I can finally have an afternoon nap if I feel like it, as no more banging and hammering.

How is everyone feeling? I have the last growth scan on Wednesday before the csection on the 29th.
