Thanks for the welcome back! Smile This thread moves so fast, but it's so good knowing what everyone else is doing.

Thanks all for reassurance about measuring big. And no, DP isn't carrying twins, we definitely saw on the scan it's just the one! A relief.

We booked onto the NCT course here. I'm hoping it'll be useful - it's a little tricky figuring it out, isn't it? DP's sister felt a bit left out by her NCT as she thought they were all a bit richer and older than her, and they do have a reputation for being quite posh. But fingers crossed they'll be nice, too.

Went to look at maternity stuff in Topshop yesterday and we both thought it was a dead loss - but then, I feel about a decade too old for Topshop anyway, so being in there was odd.

If anybody is looking for smart winter coats for work, Phase Eight have some nice belted ones in the sale. I found wrapover/belted perfect last time as they work fine once you aren't pregnant any more too, but if there is a relatively generous wrap over they should keep the bump covered for a pretty long time (and if the bump gets too big, just add a big scarf/shawl).

Still not cheap even in the sale, but better value than a lot of the places doing businessy coats, especially given you can keep wearing it after.

I have an over size cardigan I got for Xmas last year from DM, I lost a bit of weight this year so it's now massive, hoping I can get away with using it. If I get bigger than it I would be surprised. Very very thick so hopefully that and pregnancy heat will keep me warm this winter Smile

HerRoyalNotness · 03/10/2016 20:56

Thankfully it doesn't get so cold here in winter, but we are going for a road trip to Colorado for some snow for the boys at Xmas. I think I'll just suffer, it's only 4 days there, so not worth getting something. Although I love the poncho on white company. I tried to buy it last month but it wouldn't go through. Just as well really, should be saving for medical bills and holiday!

SuperDuperJezebel · 03/10/2016 22:00

I got given a second hand North Face coat last year which was way too big, the giver had worn it while pregnant. I'm hoping it'll do the trick for me!

charlybs · 04/10/2016 07:55

I've swapped water proof coats with DH haha as his still does up on me and mine (luckily for him) is in neutral colours Grin

hi all, I've lurked for some time but would officially like to join. I'm currently 13 weeks and expecting twins Smile.

It's my second pregnancy, my first DC passed away at a few days old last year.

I'm under consultant care for this pregnancy and will be having ELCS at week 37/38

alphabook · 04/10/2016 11:29

Hi everyone. Its so nice to be in the company of fellow mums and mums to be. I am due 17 March and currently 16 weeks. Today I went to a consultant appt. and I was quite nervous. I was referred as my last pregnancy ended as an emergency c section due to late preeclampsia. The consultant was very nice and gave me a leaflet to read. She said I can give her a firm decision at 36 weeks. I definitely want a c section as this is my 4th baby and labour is no joke☺. Is anyone else on their 4th or am I the only crazy one? 😆

Carolann8584 · 04/10/2016 13:34

Welcome new comers Smile

Instantly regretting my lunch choice today, not been very hungry recently so didn't know what to pick for lunch so went with a pre-pregnancy fav, Chicken Tikka Salad sandwich, HUGE!! mistake, only managed half but heart burn only half an hour after is no joke Sad making me feel sick.

Had heartburn this morning as well, not had much to eat today, fruit and milk but the burn is bad today Sad

charlybs · 04/10/2016 13:35

Hi IrnBru & madam welcome along! Good to have you with us.

Madam You're certainly not the only one with lots of kids. I think you're the only one currently on their 4th but we have 2 ladies on their 6th! You can see most people on the stats spreadsheet on the first post of this thread if you're interested and you're both more than welcome to add your own details :)
