Really enjoyed my babymoon Grin did a lot of walking but was really good despite getting "shot" in the bum every so often lol

BeccaSays · 20/11/2016 10:54

Hey Carolann, glad you had a good Babymoon in NYC! We just got back from ours in Barcelona last night. Had a great time, but so much walking!! Have you got a touch of sciatica do you think?

BeccaSays · 20/11/2016 10:54

Welcome Genghis! Smile

Carolann8584 · 20/11/2016 13:00

becca not too sure, I have a slipped disc, which causes sciatica in my legs, had it for a couple of years, I had a steroid injection in my spine for it last year and haven't had any problems since. This feels different, not affecting my legs. My ovia app suggests rest and try some kegels to help strengthen my muscles

MotherofA · 20/11/2016 20:47

Welcome Genghis !

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 20/11/2016 23:58

Thanks for the welcome!

I'm glad everyone has been enjoying their holidays - it makes me feel like I should go on one :)

I have a 22 week scan tomorrow; I'm excited and nervous - hopefully all will be fine.

NameChange30 · 21/11/2016 07:01

Good luck for your scan today Genghis Smile

Good luck with the scan im sure it'll all be fine :)!

Has anyone had experience with babymoov cosydream to go inside a Moses basket? Feel like I need some kind of sleep support/cushion.

Carolann8584 · 21/11/2016 20:37

froglou I have one saved in my Amazon basket ready for my shopping spree after Xmas, kept in my basket coz it will email me if the price changes Grin

froglou · 21/11/2016 23:03

Carolann8584 been keeping an eye on it to! It seems to be gradually going up on amazon, it's £10 cheaper at Argos at the moment

Carolann8584 · 21/11/2016 23:27

Thanks for the tip Wink

My little lady has been kicking like crazy since we left for NYC and hasn't stopped now we are back, feels weird but also really nice, I do tiny presses back and she responds Smile my OH has felt her too which was nice for him Grin

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 22/11/2016 03:22

Thanks everyone - the scan went well, and he was very cooperative! Back in three weeks for the next one.

Lovely to hear about the kicks Carolann!

By the way I just looked up that Babymoov on Amazon and they're actually on sale at £22.79 at the moment!

BeccaSays · 22/11/2016 05:14

Ooh thanks for the tip on the Babymoov cosydream on Amazon, I've just ordered one! That and a changing bag that looked good and at a low launch price. Hurrah!

Carolann8584 · 22/11/2016 10:57

Ordered! thanks for the tip, I don't think it would go much lower

My little lady it getting the hang of kicking Smile I think my sleep pattern changing last week has changed hers lol

froglou · 22/11/2016 11:34

They only put it up to £38 last night I was gutted, order it now along with some bottles just incase it happens again!! Thank you!

Carolann8584 · 23/11/2016 10:55

Well my little lady seems to have settled back on UK time lol!

This week I have noticed she is only active around 10pm onwards. Or maybe that's just when I notice coz I'm sat/winding down for the night.

NameChange30 · 23/11/2016 18:37

Hi, how are you all?
If anyone else still needs to buy a pushchair or travel system, Mothercare are running deals for the next few days (until Monday I think) - if you buy a pushchair and carry cot, you get a free car seat.
I've only just started researching travel systems - been looking at online reviews and hoping to look at some this weekend. But I'd like to do a shortlist before I go, so if anyone has recommendations please let me know! (I think it was discussed a while back on this thread or an old one so I will read back as well!) I like the look of the Cosatto Giggle 2...

alphabook · 23/11/2016 21:57

I've just bought the Armadillo Flip XT, currently 50% off at Mamas and Papas.

NameChange30 · 23/11/2016 22:08

Thanks alpha!

NameChange30 · 23/11/2016 23:37

We have decided to get a Snuzpod, so that's the first major purchase decided on! We've managed to find a 10% discount code but we'll wait until Friday just in case there's a better deal...

Feeling excited now we're starting to look into buying big things for the baby (as opposed to just babygrows which is all we've bought until now!)

Grin
GenghisKahnSchmitz · 24/11/2016 02:11

50% off sounds great!! Enjoy your shopping Name, I'm also hoping for some good deals on Friday.

I have a slight predicament but am not sure whether to worry about it or not. I will be flying long haul over Christmas so while I'm 26, 28 and 30 weeks. I spoke with my obstetrician and he won't write a 'fit to fly' note due to his insurance (I'm not in the UK) but he doesn't have a problem with me flying, and he will check my cervix and the baby the day before I leave. I've just read a related thread and am now worrying in case the airlines stop me because I don't have a note! Gah.

NameChange30 · 24/11/2016 09:03

Genghis Thanks! I'm keen to go at look at them in the shops now, although they will no doubt be heaving this weekend Confused

Could you get another doctor to write you a "fit to fly" note?

Carolann8584 · 24/11/2016 09:21

Genghis Have you checked with the airline to see if you need a note? or are you high risk?

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 24/11/2016 10:20

I hadn't thought to ask my GP so I'll give that a go, though I have my doubts because over here your gynaecologist/obstetrician deals with every element of your pregnancy and birth, and you don't have to see your doctor at all, so they wouldn't know anything about the pregnancy, in fact mine doesn't even know I'm pregnant :) However, I just did some more homework and both airlines say I can fly until 36 weeks as long as I have no issues (which I don't), and neither mention having to have a certificate so I guess I should be fine. Positive thinking and all that! Thanks for your help.
