Melissa, aww you've got the same original due date, they set mine back 10 days when I went into hospital early on,were a similar age to :)

melissacx9 · 16/11/2016 18:40

Thank you! Grin

Yes, it's amazing feeling him move around/kick - I can't get enough of it! I wasn't sure what I was feeling at first but now I definitely know.

Awww how lovely froglou - my due date has always been the same throughout my pregnancy, but I have a feeling that he's going to come late regardless. I don't know if I'm thinking like that though because so many people have told me that first babies come late! So are you due on March 13th?

My partner has recently put a deposit down on our pram system, so that's exciting, and I've been keeping myself busy organising the baby's wardrobe. I just love folding/hanging/organising all of these tiny little clothes!

How's everyone else getting along? Smile

jopotter · 16/11/2016 19:34

Hello, I am very new to Mumsnet. I am 23 + 6 days along with my first baby. Due date is the 9th March. It's lovely reading through all the threads and hearing you ladies are going through the same things. Also how do I join the Facebook group?

NameChange30 · 16/11/2016 19:37

melissa and jo Hello, welcome to the thread, and congrats on your pregnancies! Smile Feel free to add yourselves to the spreadsheet if you want.

NameChange30 · 16/11/2016 19:56

By the way, if anyone else has lower back pain, my pregnancy yoga teacher suggested an exercise ball - apparently they're comfortable to sit on and good for gentle toning. I've just ordered this one and will report back!

YY that's good to know Hugh... do you sit on yours at work or just use it at home? I'm wondering whether I will have the balls (!) to use mine at my desk Grin Might see how I get on with it at home first!

Hi all I'm very new to Mumsnet and am currently 23 weeks 2 days, due date 14 March. Would love to join any FB group with ladies due around the same time. Smile

froglou · 17/11/2016 22:38

Melissa sorry my bad 11 days I'm due the 14th! Yeah it's strange I had my first scan at only 6 weeks (thought I was 8 at the time) but all my "milestones" have been a little early considering this is my first for example I felt first movement at 16 weeks rather than 18, so I think my dates are just more accurate because of the early scan, if that makes sense?!

MotherofA · 18/11/2016 00:50

Hi All ,

Haven't posted for a while ! Got a c section date for 10th March , my other daughter was born on the 9th March 2007! Spooky !

Discovered I have to be monitored by a thyroid specialist and bladder specialist . I am hypothyroid and didn't really know this could affect pregnancy . Also had bladder problems with delivery of DD hence c section and bladder specialist possible bladder physio ?! Needless to say a tad overwhelmed and no one seems to be interested lol .

SuperDuperJezebel · 18/11/2016 09:33

I know that feeling MotherofA... I feel like I bore everyone with my mutterings about constantly seeing consultants. That's why we are here tho, feel free to tell us!

user1479402635 if you send me a pm with the email address you use for facebook I can add you to the group ☺

Butterpuff · 19/11/2016 09:36

Mother I just got my c-section date through today. I have to admit it made me cry. Just makes our situation too real. We are booked for the 6th. DD's birthday is the 10th.
I hope you have a helpful consultant to speak to. We are seeing ours next at the end of the month.
I was told that I have to have 2 steroid injections to help the babies lungs on the week before the section. Do you have this? It's going to mean three trips into London the week before we are admitted and then at least a two week stay. I'm going to see if I can get the injections locally instead.
Good luck with everything. One of my friends is hypothirod and had no problems at all if that's helps. Flowers

Welcome newbies

Just back from NYC this morning, knackered after night flight but going to try and stay awake

Had major issues with being "shot in the buttocks" will away. Right bum cheek, really does feel like I've been shot whem it happens, doesn't happen all the time but when it does I can barely walk. Now I'm back can't even walk around my living room Sad

MotherofA · 19/11/2016 11:14

Ah hugh thanks for your advice . They have put me on thyroxine is that the same thing ? Butter i really feel for you ! I am having c section due to complications with my last delivery (bladder ) so it's not baby related . Bless you . How funny that our DD's birthdays are so close to delivery !
I'm sure it will all be fine I was just so overwhelmed when I went last week . Carolann I hope you feel better soon ! Sounds like nerves ?

Hello, can I please join? I've been lurking for a while but only just feel able to join. I'm 35 and due DC1 on 28th March. I can't believe people are getting their cs dates already - it makes sense, but also makes everything seem very real! Carolann I hope you enjoyed your holiday despite the pain.
