Carol
That's alright then, clearly pregnancy is causing temporary madness (sounds about right in my case, hasn't put me off chocolate though unfortunately!) but as long as you normally eat more than one Jaffa cake I'm reassured Grin

Zanashar
I haven't noticed any movement yet either, and I'm 20+2. I'm sure it won't be too much longer for us to feel something Smile
I'm getting some lower back pain and pregnancy yoga is helping. Moving helps and lying on my back seems to make it worse.

charlybs · 12/10/2016 18:10

Urge anyone with the means and the inclination to visit a chiropractor if your back hurts. Has really helped me - started off as chronic with once a week appointments and now I'm just to go back if I feel I need to as I'm so much better.

Hiya! I'm due 14th march! When Mumsnet allows me to log in on my computer rather than phone I'll add to spreadsheet and pm about the Facebook group(unless anyone knows the name of it?)

Just wondering if anyone else has had a lot of abdominal pain recently, I've had it since about 6 weeks which is when I was hospitalised with that and morning sickness, but it's got bad again recently hoping it's normal moving and stretching pains, it's where you'd get ligament pain but it's worse than usual?
Can't get midwives till 3rd scans on the 9th but I used a home fetal Doppler for the first time! (First Found a heart beat at 78 which I'm assuming is mine!) And then found another at 138-140 bpm about an inch below my belly button (coincidentally where I get a pinching pain ) does that sounds about right to you guys?

BeccaSays · 13/10/2016 12:58

Hi froglou! I have had some sharp twinges but they subsided. However a friend of mine said she encountered period like pains throughout her pregnancy. Her baby was just fine. I haven't felt any movements (I thought I did a couple of weeks ago but now I'm not sure) and haven't got a Doppler. Worried I might get obsessed with listening to the heartbeat and freaking out if I can't find it!

Suffering from Acid reflux and heartburn now on a daily basis. Never had it before so not sure what medicine to take that's safe in pregnancy? And I hate medicine I can't swallow it so has to be in tablet form. Suggestions?

charlybs · 13/10/2016 13:11

The FB group is secret so perhaps just to PM?

I had really bad pains after over exerting myself - went on a long walk one Sunday and it hurt so much I had to hold my tummy up to ease it! In general had quite a lot of ligament pain.

cloey I suffer from heartburn, I have taken soooo many Rennies they smell/taste of them knocks me sick. They work wonders but can't take them anymore. I just have milk now

x

Carolann8584 · 13/10/2016 13:45

Just had the best lunch I have had in a long time, wasn't trying to be sensible or anything like that just wanted to enjoy it, coz I been drinking so much milk I've not be hungry. Had a meeting at work this morning so missed my mid morning milk fix so was very hungry come lunch time. Had a Cheese and Bean Toastie, filled and warmed me up nicely

Hi everyone,
I have my scan tomorrow, SO EXCITED!
Also very happy about my recent online shopping successes, I now have some fab chinos (they fit! they're comfy! they look smart!) and a cosy maternity coat from Zalando.
It's almost enough to forget the fact that my boobs are red, hot and itchy (and have been for weeks) and I'm getting slower at walking!

Carolann8584 · 13/10/2016 13:51

Yay name I'm half counting down for mine half counting down for New York, we fly 12 days after scan Smile

If you can, are you finding out what your are having I can't remember x

NameChange30 · 13/10/2016 13:52

Yes we're finding out whether it's a boy or girl - we think boy because the sonographer said so at the 12 week scan (she must have been a bit of a rebel! Grin) so I'll be completely thrown if it's actually a girl!

NameChange30 · 13/10/2016 13:54

Oh and lucky you going to NYC! Such an amazing city Smile

DH and i have been toying with the idea of long weekend city break, we can't really be bothered but I'm thinking we should probably seize our last chance for a long time!

neonrainbow · 13/10/2016 13:56

Good luck for your scan! Welcome froglou. I'm currently sorting a HUGE bundle of baby stuff i got from facebook freeads last night... i dont need to buy anything for 3-6 months thats for sure!

Carolann8584 · 13/10/2016 13:59

It's the only long distance holiday my OH and I want to go, We went Las Vegas last year which was amazing and want to go again in the future but thought we should get New York out of the way before Beany arrives, We have my OH's DSs over the weekends so was easy to take a holiday during the week but now we will have our own full time it would be difficult to go.

SuperDuperJezebel · 13/10/2016 14:07

We are off to Bruges for 4 days next week, can't wait. 20 week scan tomorrow, utterly terrified it's going to be bad news. I just don't feel pregnant anymore. DH not great at saying anything other than "it'll be fine".

Cloeycat · 13/10/2016 14:09

Thanks for that Carolann, I will try milk, I quite like to drink milk anyway so seems like a good place to start!

I have my scan tomorrow too, hoping to find out what we are having. V nervous as well as excited in case there's bad news, it's not until 4pm either so tomorrow is gonna be a tough day to get through!

Pumpkin1111 · 13/10/2016 15:55

Good luck on the scans, I am still only at 16 weeks so just had my midwife appointment. Been told I am rhesus negative- does anyone have any experience with this? Just seems like I have to have some injections, but could be more of an issue with a 2nd pregnancy.

Beautytobe · 13/10/2016 16:17

Had my scan yesterday, it's a boy! And everything. Is looking good!

I now will have one of each I can stop!

Baby moving like crazy just doesn't stop its like I have wiggly worms in my womb!

GVW12 · 13/10/2016 16:28

Been catching up on the thread - Carolann8584 I think we have a bit in common, I'm 18 weeks with my first but I live with partner and we have his DS 50% of the time, he's 6. I'm in South Manchester too!

Don't know how you can keep it from your 2! We told him a few weeks ago and he was over the moon (I was worried how he would react as he has told me previously that his mum and dad who still get along - were probably going to have a sibling for him - errrrr, yeah)

Going for our 20 week scan on Monday at Wythenshawe. So excited to find out gender! You're so lucky going away. It's my 32nd birthday in December and we usually try and go for a city break in Europe but I don't think that will be happening this year Sad

NameChange30 · 13/10/2016 18:09

What's going on the with the spreadsheet?! It's not in order of due date any more Confused

Beauty Congrats on your scan and finding out it's a boy!

Alpha and Freckles, have you just had your scans? Hope they went well.

neon and pumpkin Thanks for the good luck Smile

Super and Cloey Good luck for tomorrow, scan date buddies! Are you planning to find out the sex? My scan's in the morning. I'll be thinking of you both!

BeccaSays · 13/10/2016 18:12

Hey Pumpkin, I'm rhesus neg too. Just a couple of injections. My sister is also negative and she said they tested all her babies when they were born to see if they were positive or negative. I think that's about it really? Smile

BeccaSays · 13/10/2016 18:15

Beautytobe congrats on your scan! Smile I'm 18+4 and waiting eagerly for some movements...come on baby, get wriggling!

HerRoyalNotness · 13/10/2016 18:24

I hope you all have good news for scans tomorrow!

Welcome froglu

I'm also rhesus negative and from what I remember had an injection (anti-d) partway through and then straight after the birth. It's in case baby's' blood crossed with yours and you develop antibodies, I think that's it. If the next baby is not -ve your body can attack it.

I had my first progesterone injection today. Wasn't so bad actually. So fingers crossed another 19 to go! Not sure what we'll do at Xmas break as we're going away. DH volunteered to give it to me, but he had an evil glint in his eye, I won't be taking him up on the offer Hmm
