Think today will be a struggle

Think I have/am getting carpel tunnel syndrome in my right hand, had less than an hours sleep last night. My hand and arm up to my elbow was killing me, nothing helps, hot/cold compress. Sitting or lying down made it worse, was pacing the living room for hours.

My App gives tips for how the deal with it which I am following, however it says try to keep active, easy during the day but when I am trying to sleep I can't really keep active lol.

For those worried about hair loss and tufty regrowth. I didn't notice any real hair loss and definitely no bald patches or tufts. Of course I do have a great frizzy mop on my head so it may be more difficult to notice. But you may be lucky.

Think I'm getting SPD which I didn't with DD. Boo.

Went out to dinner on Saturday in a dress and definitely looked pregnant.

Also, very pleased with my maternity bundle from ebay. I'm loving an ebay bargain at the moment!!

Butterpuff · 10/10/2016 14:38

Back again because I'm excited. Today baby seems to be dancing away like a gymnast. I've felt little bits before mostly while concentrating but today its been loads, and really obvious. Hello Baby, see you in a few months! Grin

Carolann8584 · 10/10/2016 15:08

Aww that's lovely Butter I have only felt 1 flutter, but Mid wife said that's normal Smile

Butterpuff · 10/10/2016 15:36

I'm on baby 2 Carolann so I think that helps. I didn't feel dd until I was over 20 weeks!

So cute Hugh

We haven't told my DSSs about beany yet, we want to wait as long as possible. Luckily they are 6 and 4 so don't ask too many questions about my growing bump.

Butterpuff · 12/10/2016 09:36

I love that Hugh Smile its exactly the sort of thing DD would do. She's a bit younger so would only get so far as a curious 'hello' but I can see it!

Mine is less flabby looking, really solid under my ribs, noticed this morning (daily check on bump Smile)

Can't wait until we tell my DSSs, there mum has recently had a DD they both seem to really enjoy having a little baby sis. We are worried they will wonder why our baby can live with daddy but they can't.

Waiting for my increase in appetite to kick in, not hungry most days, just don't feel like anything, anything my OH suggests I just go "Meh" to.

Carolann8584 · 12/10/2016 14:21

sorry their mum Smile

Carolann8584 · 12/10/2016 14:48

hugh

The 20-week scan is also known as the mid-pregnancy ultrasound or the anomaly scan. It should be done between 18 weeks and 20 weeks plus six days gestation.

Have you mentioned your date to your mid wife, I thought you had to have it within the time frame above?

Cloeycat · 12/10/2016 15:02

Carolann, Hugo is in Ireland where the 20 week scan isn't a standard the way it is in the NHS. Most women in Ireland don't get a 20 week scan unless they book it privately.

Carolann8584 · 12/10/2016 15:08

ok, just wonderedSmile

Cloeycat · 12/10/2016 15:10

On another note, baby is doing a right dance in there today. Been feeling movements for a while now but this feels like baby is turning right around- kicks started on righthand side, then down by the pubic bone and now on the left hand side. All in the space of about 10 mins 😂

Carolann8584 · 12/10/2016 15:14

I felt some bubbling today, not like the flutter I had the other week but still something Smile

Cloeycat · 12/10/2016 15:16

Oo bubbling, that's a good description actually I've been struggling to find the right words to explain the feeling to OH... strong bubbling! It's exciting to feel something isn't it?

charlybs · 12/10/2016 15:23

Bubbling is a good description! I had shrimp bubbling away this morning wasn't expecting it as they've been quiet

Carolann8584 · 12/10/2016 15:23

Yeah, haven't felt anything since my Butterfly flutter a couple of weeks ago, then a bit of bubbling today. Mid wife said should start to get more frequent after about 20 weeks but obviously it's different for every mum to be. So was nice to feel something today at 18 weeks, was asked by the cashier at the local Co-op when I was due today, think my bump is taking shape nicely. Smile

Carolann8584 · 12/10/2016 15:25

I finally had some chocolate today, well a Jaffa cake Smile only wanted one though Smile

NameChange30 · 12/10/2016 15:50

You only wanted ONE Jaffa cake?! What's wrong with you?!

Also... "finally" had chocolate - when was the last time you had some?

I've been eating my usual daily chocolate fix Blush

Carolann8584 · 12/10/2016 16:06

Not had serious chocolate fix since about week 6, so 12 weeks Sad

miss having my treat at the weekend but just not been wanting any, too full on milk to eat much of anything lol having about 3 pints a day (1% fat)

Zanashar · 12/10/2016 16:06

What sort of a weirdo has just ONE?? Wink
(I'd have had at least half the packet)

No fluttering or bubbling here. Hoping it's soon though. I just feel rubbish with a big bump already and a v sore lower back ( really don't want to resort to painkiller as managed without last time but feel
I was stronger then ).

Carolann8584 · 12/10/2016 16:07

OH is more of a savoury over sweet person so maybe the beany is taking after daddy lol

x

Carolann8584 · 12/10/2016 16:13

I could have half a packet before pregnancy Grin
