I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

Checking in and slightly panicking that I still haven't packed a hospital bag or washed new baby's clothing etc. I should know better as I was caught out with an early baby and no bag packed with DC1!

I think maybe I've been in slight denial that it's all happening so soon. 34 weeks tomorrow eek.

DH and I thought we had picked out names but had a bit of a wobble on both our boy and girl options yesterday evening.

Eating a lot of chocolate cake and making the most of not having to hold my stomach in and ability to wear stretchy jersey dresses for a final few weeks Smile

Redken24 · 05/09/2016 07:39

I havent packed a bag yet either! Getting a lot of BH - roll on the next 6 weeks - :)

Newmum90 · 05/09/2016 07:40

Ive reached "fed up" point now after a brief burst of moving house pregnancy glow.

Heartburn and the weight of bump are making me so miserable even OH is counting down the days until baby joins us on the outside!

Kariana · 05/09/2016 07:59

Havetobecrazy that's reassuring, I've got a while yet then. I haven't worried about it so far either as he still had time to turn and he was rolling around a lot in there so I knew there was room. Now he seems to have settled and its been over a week since his last position shift so I'm worrying he's running out of room and needs to get spinning now!

Tallblue I'm the same, 34 weeks tomorrow and don't even own half the stuff I probably want to put in a hospital bag. No clothes or anything to give birth in. I really want a loose fitting strappy top because I've heard it gets very hot but they all seem to be tight - even the maternity ones.

Redken24 · 05/09/2016 08:27

kariana - have you got a set list for your bag? I have nothing, no bag or even toiletries :L

Northernlight22 · 05/09/2016 08:43

Started packing bag for me and baby yesterday (34+5 now so thought I best make a start!)

I started my list last week - there are so many bloody versions of lists online though it drove me mad trying to decide just how many speepsuits and vests I need to pack!

positivity123 · 05/09/2016 12:44

Just been to the midwife and my baby has turned which I'm so relieved about. I've been doing the exercises from Spinning babies which seems to have paid off. The website is pretty good.
I'm 34 + 5 and I'm going to pack my bag this weekend.

Havetobecrazytolivehere · 05/09/2016 13:13

Which exercises have you been doing positivity?
I have tried the forward leaning inversion and knee to chest thing a few times and tried a breech tilt last night but lying against the ironing board made my back sore.
MW has suggested moxibustion but not sure if it will be expensive.
Most of my movements are late evening and early hours of the morning and more pushing and elbows now. Don't always notice during the days as I'm so busy with the kids. Had a bit of an anxious time this weekend, suddenly seem to be worried about everything - 35+3 today and haven't started my hospital bag!

positivity123 · 05/09/2016 13:32

I have been doing the inversions on quite a high bed so I'm virtually upside down. I tried to do it when the baby was awake and moving. I've also been walking loads and I watch TV draped over a birthing ball. Downward dog yoga pose is also good.
Don't panic, you still have a while yet xx

HobnobDunker · 05/09/2016 13:37

I'm also at fed up point now, can't seem to get comfortable in any position and keep bursting in to tears with the frustration of it 😂 35+2 here

Afreshstartplease · 05/09/2016 15:51

33+5

Has anyone else got near constant fanny daggers. It's so uncomfortable to walk and (TMI) sitting in a position like on the loo I feel like could just pop out

Northernlight22 · 05/09/2016 15:54

Daggers have been on and off for the last week or so now. Not good!

Afreshstartplease · 05/09/2016 15:59

Sometimes I don't even have to move. I only don't get them if I lay down Sad

Newmum90 · 05/09/2016 17:26

Hobnob - i actually threw myself on the grass in the garden yesterday to cry when it all got too muchbecause

  • everything hurts
  • heartburn
  • i was trying to put a washing out on the line that i hadnt actually washed yet
  • im a rubbish homemaker and shpuld just go back to work
  • there were too many weeds and the landlady hasnt sent a gardener round yet.

Luckily the feeling has now passed (for the moment.)

Afreshstartplease · 05/09/2016 17:33

You are currently making a BABY! Screw being a homemaker

HobnobDunker · 06/09/2016 04:01

Newmum90 I feel your pain! This pregnancy malarkey is getting really tiresome now! Oh and the insomnia is just delightful too Hmm

Fraggleface · 06/09/2016 06:43

I feel the pain too. 36 weeks today and I don't know how I'm going to cope with potentially 4-6 more weeks of the pain, discomfort and waking up 4/5 times a night Sad

Kariana · 06/09/2016 07:28

Redken I haven't even made a list yet! Hadn't actually thought about toiletries, I have read a few lists online but clearly haven't been paying enough attention.

Newmum I have several times thrown myself around sobbing at night because of restless legs. I just can't sleep because of them. I can put up with all the other symptoms, even the back pain, but the leg thing is just too much!

Afreshstartplease · 06/09/2016 08:49

I might not make a list. I might just wing it.

Hopefully be the same as last time where dd came home fiveish hours after birth still wearing first sleepover!

ChatterNatterer · 06/09/2016 13:22

I just want to have a night of no sweats, needing the loo a million times and the agony of just turning over splitting my pelvis in half! 3 more days til Maternity leave starts - CANNOT WAIT!!!

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 06/09/2016 16:47

Just got a date for my c section through - 34 days unless this one decides to make an early break for it. Totally done with being pregnant, the nightly leg cramps and toilet breaks are killing me!

Afreshstartplease · 06/09/2016 16:48

I just want the daggers to go away!

School run was agony

Northernlight22 · 06/09/2016 20:45

Oooh 34 days!!!

I'm having a day where I'm fed up and done with pregnancy - just nearly passed out and fainted in the shops as I was too hot and flustered

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 06/09/2016 21:13

The fanny daggers are the worst. Cannot remember them being this bad with DS1. The joys of pregnancy Grin

Afreshstartplease · 06/09/2016 21:48

Same here taffeta I am wondering if it's yet another thing that is worse in subsequent pregnancies
