I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

oh clank you're really having a rough time. hope your little one stays put. i'm sure it'll be worth it in the end :)

MeDownSouth · 01/09/2016 20:43

and both babies are adorable and seem to be ok (what i understand from my late joining). Giggle's baby is in SCBU and Panda's is in SCBU and now on a drip but you'll have to come over and see their cute little faces for yourselves ;)

Kariana · 01/09/2016 23:10

Glad the early arrivals are doing ok!

Clank that sounds rubbish about the assessment, can't believe they didn't say anything else about the protein.

They couldn't fit me in for a scan today so it's tomorrow instead. Forgot to say that yesterday the midwife really squeezed my tummy between her fingers, so that she was squeezing the baby's head really hard and not only was it painful for me I thought she was going to damage the baby Sad Upshot is he's no longer traverse but has gone breech!

MrsMKJ · 01/09/2016 23:10

Thanks for starting this thread Derek! 34+4 here. Still three full weeks to go at work! Is anyone else getting hot flushes? Blush

DerekSprechenZeDick · 01/09/2016 23:30

I've had hot flushes for past couple of week.

OP posts:
Kariana · 02/09/2016 08:34

Not had a full on hot flush yet but I do get very hot around bedtime and have to have the room really cold to sleep, otherwise I feel like my temperature just won't go down. I've had horrendous leg cramps though, luckily only when lying down and not too often, but I did have one this morning so bad that I was yelling in pain and my poor dh came running out the bathroom to help.

Juliet I've accepted your friend request but I'm not sure how I join the group, what happens next?

DerekSprechenZeDick · 02/09/2016 08:52

Leg cramps are ruining my sleep and morning. I get them in both legs, they take turns I think.

I have to lie straight bring my foot right up to straighten my calf with eases it

Northernlight22 · 02/09/2016 12:03

I get way too hot overnight. Haven't used a duvet in about 5 months! I've had a few hot flushes, usually in Asda when I'm trying to do my shopping

HobnobDunker · 02/09/2016 12:13

I've been hot pretty much since conception which is so unlike me as normally I struggle to keep warm.

My feet are huge and water-filled.

Bump is starting to feel quite solid now. People keep telling me I've suddenly grown quite a lot. Feel like I'm going to give birth to a manatee.

ChatterNatterer · 02/09/2016 12:42

I woke up with a horrible sharp muscle type pain last night, think I moved my leg funny in my sleep as it was at the bottom of my bump to my groin!
Can't wait til this SPD goes away!!!

clank2 · 02/09/2016 12:47

Yep, Im getting really hot, and sweating throughout the night, its grim.

April241 · 02/09/2016 14:21

Has anyone heard from fresh? Hoping all is okay.

I woke up late this morning which I haven't done in a wee bit, was up every two hours going to the toilet though. I had my breakfast and then spewed the entire lot back up, lying on the couch feeling very sorry for myself :(

32 weeks today, 4/5 to go!!!

Hope everyone is doing well.

JulietteL · 02/09/2016 14:40

Kariana I added you to the fb group this morning - you should get a message on there.

Kariana · 03/09/2016 09:34

Thanks Juliette, I have managed to get on. So strange seeing real names, I can't tell who anyone is from here!

April that sounds rubbish Flowers. Hope you feel better today.

I was wondering about Fresh too, hope she's ok. It's been a few days and she's usually around daily, wasn't she having stomach pains lately? Hopefully everything is ok and she's just busy Confused

Afreshstartplease · 03/09/2016 10:43

Hi all

All is fine here. 33+3.

Started my mat leave so have taken the DC away for a few days which is much more knackering than I had expected and Wi-Fi is shit

No more stomach pains just constant fanny daggers

Can't believe two babies are here!

Northernlight22 · 03/09/2016 15:08

I keep getting some stretching aches around my belly button at the mo - they come and go really quick so I'm guessing it's just because the baby is in an awkward position!

sherbertdibdab · 03/09/2016 16:44

Today I have attempted wall papering for the first time! NEVER attempting again!!!

Wow that looks really good sherbet!
Glad you're ok fresh
Kariana have a look at the pinned spreadsheet at the top of the group - it has screen names on :) (and might be constantly open on my laptop)
Buggy is ordered. Ladies in the (independent) shop looked horrified when we said that we only have 6 weeks left as they have to order it. It's not a car seat, I'm sure we can survive if baby's early/it's later. Seems a really odd thing to get stressy over, especially as we're not in a rush.
Have our 'active birth class' this morning, more brain active than anything. Talking for 3hrs about stages and signs of labour, when to come in, fears etc, follow by a tour of everything. She said 'keep remembering your breathing' but nobody's actually told me anything about that, has anyone gone through it with a professional or are we supposed to youtube it? ;) I feel we've missed out but not sure where?

Havetobecrazytolivehere · 03/09/2016 18:42

Hi, found out yesterday my baby is in a breech position. My mw said it wasn't a problem at this point but if it doesn't turn by next week it will be too big. Spent my evening doing inversions and lying upside down against the sofa along with all sorts of all fours hip wiggling. Am now very uncomfortable as baby has not moved but seems to be beating me up for trying, also have really hurt my neck from trying breech tilts.
Still got to keep trying.
Medownsouth I don't remember anyone telling me how to breathe with the first two but I used a hypnobirthing book third time and that had lots of stuff on breathing through contractions. The basic birth breath is to breathe in through your nose to the count of four and then slowly breathe out through your mouth to the count of eight whilst trying to relax as much as possible. You can probably google it. I did a daisy course and found the techniques pretty much the same.

Kariana · 04/09/2016 10:20

Glad everything is ok Fresh!

Sherbert that wallpaper is amazing! I'm guessing it was a nightmare to match up though.

Havetobecrazy how many weeks are you again? At my scan the baby's head was up under my ribs, folded up with his legs over his head (not sure what he's doing like that!) He's been like that for a while. Sonographer said not to worry yet (33+5) but my next midwife appointment is at 35 weeks and I'm sure I read that's the point they are usually too big, so I'm slightly worried. Is that the timeframe you were told?

Havetobecrazytolivehere · 04/09/2016 12:22

I'm 35 wks now, my appointment was a week late because she was booked up. She said I pretty much have until 36wks before baby runs out of room.
Not seeing her again until 36 + 5 so will be too late to do anything.
Baby has been breach a few times at previous scans and 28 wk appointment but I didn't worry. Now I am worried as I have quite a tight bump. I would say now is a good time for you to start optimal fetal positioning. Spinning babies is a good website, I am just panicking that it is too late now for me. I really can't have an elcs, just getting the kids to school every day is a 30 min walk each way and my dh has already said he can't take any extra time off work. Have a consultant appointment next week so will hopefully get a scan.

ChatterNatterer · 04/09/2016 18:13

Really hoping baby turns Flowers

Northernlight22 · 04/09/2016 20:53

Anyone else got a clicking noise coming from their bump?! I keep hearing random clicks 😂

DerekSprechenZeDick · 04/09/2016 21:21

I have braxton hicks that feel real. My body wants her out! Grin

I laugh but it fucking hurts

OP posts:
LillianFullStop · 04/09/2016 23:04

I hope she turns havetobe! I've heard stories of babies turning even during labour so maybe it's not too late!

Northern clicking noise sounds weird I've never heard of that!!!

Sherbet that looks awesome!

33w and feeling huge. hospital bag almost done I just need to wash my new giant Bridget Jones granny pants and pack a set of clothes to go home in. what else are you all packing besides essentials? am thinking iPad + kindle while waiting for active labour. thinking of bringing a pack of cards to play with DH lol. it's my first so it could take a looooooong time.
