I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

Congratulations November and Figgy!

Figgy I hope you make a speedy recovery! My advice would be to stay in the hospital a second night if they offer it, but on the other hand I know if someone had given me that advice beforehand just probably would have ignored it! Grin

LillianFullStop · 15/10/2016 23:11

Congrats November!!!

derryjojo · 16/10/2016 05:51

Congratulations November

Redken24 · 16/10/2016 06:10

:) 39 weeks today - Lillian we have the same due date! x

LillianFullStop · 16/10/2016 08:56

Cheers redken Wine- let's drink this waiting game together! well maybe just Brew and Cake and Chocolate

39w for us today - and I was so SURE I'd go at 38w!!!!

Weather is poo so there goes my plan for a lovely walk. No bouncing ball at home so sitting on footstool with cushions ... must. resist. the. couch!!! Confused

Afreshstartplease · 16/10/2016 08:59

I'm on the couch Sad I'll move soon though .... need to clean the kitchen

ThinkOfAWittyNameLater · 16/10/2016 10:16

38w today. Am so fed up. Still in pyjamas.
Blegh. I'm doubling his rent (currently £0) every week until he gets out. I'm also losing the plot it seems.
At least I don't have to bother with work anymore.

Afreshstartplease · 16/10/2016 10:31

I've had a bath and put clean pjs on

I'm not going anywhere unless it's the delivery suite and they'll be seeing worse than my pjs

Nickname1980 · 16/10/2016 11:21

The baby was going totally wild last night! Moving so much that I panicked and thought I better go to the hospital in case he was in distress. Then he calmed down and I didn't and now is moving normally.

Anyone else's doing a mega dance in there?!

Good luck to everyone whose due!

LillianFullStop · 16/10/2016 11:42

PJ day for me too - will have to hustle something for lunch soon though.

Nickname my LO objects to certain sleeping positions. So I switch sides and she normally settles then. She also kicks up a fuss when I attempt a lay in - nabbing me in the ribs to get me out of bed then once I'm up she's happy again. Feisty one!

Figgygal · 16/10/2016 11:43

RUH bath maternity ward food is great I might stay here tonight too Smile I cannot believe how well I feel considering sections are major surgery!! Catheter is out I'm dressed no discomfort below which considering there was plenty of pushing and internal exams going on, slight pull on stitches when get up but could be a lot worse.

Tallblue · 16/10/2016 13:43

Congrats figgy and it sounds like you're doing great!

I'm 39+5 and struggling. Think I'll get a sweep on Tuesday and then hope baby arrives soon after. Physically I can barely walk and can't find a comfy position to sit or lie down. Still having to do the nursery run with DC1 is very tiring, 20 min drive each way and temps mid 30s here at the moment. She insists on being lifted to push the gate open button every time or a massive screaming fit ensues. I feel like I'll be a whole lot fitter to get on with day to day life once the baby is out, even with the inevitable sleep deprivation!

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 16/10/2016 14:01

Thanks everyone :):)

I didn't have a very good time, unfortunately but we're all ok and I'm trying to get as much sleep as I can to feel human again!

Dizzy08 · 16/10/2016 15:21

November* hope you get some much deserved rest!

dizzy I'm having RLT now with some cake!!CakeCakeCake

Dizzy08 · 16/10/2016 17:29

Ahhh cake sounds good lillian I might have to settle for a biscuit though I resisted buying cake when I was at the shop!

I hope both you and tall blue have more success with the sweeps than I've had. I'm going for a third one on Tuesday before induction day on Thursday!

Afreshstartplease · 16/10/2016 18:20

At what stage have people started having sweeps ?

I'm not due to be seen til 40+6

derryjojo · 16/10/2016 20:48

I believe that I'm getting a sweep at 39+4.

Tallblue · 16/10/2016 20:55

november I'm sorry it didn't go so well, hope you get to rest up and focus on the newborn cuddles!

fresh my doctor said I could have a sweep at 40 weeks if the cervix looks favourable but I'm currently living overseas in a place where the tolerance for going overdue is low- 41 weeks max. I think the UK policy is to allow up to 42 weeks so interventions might happen a bit later?

Just got back from hospital after going in for a check as baby didn't move very much today. All turned out to be fine although the CTG machine was picking up 'tightenings' and the staff kept asking me if I was in pain. Think they were concerned it was early labour but I guess it's just BH. Either way I was allowed home. Baby seems fine anyway!

Fraggleface · 16/10/2016 22:01

Congrats November and Figgy!
Baby fraggle arrived today by c section after 48 hours of hellish induction where despite 2 gels, ARM and 15 hours on the syntocinon drip I only got to 3 cm. c section was comparatively fab after that and me and baby are doing well so far. So pleased it's over and we have our little DD Grin

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 16/10/2016 22:14

Congrats fraggle!

Dizzy08 · 16/10/2016 22:24

Congratulations fraggle! Flowers sounds like you went through what I fear from an induction. But glad you and your LO are doing well! Hopefully you've got some support to allow you a well earned rest now!

I had my first sweep at 39+3 Fresh then had another at 40+3 so Tuesday will be my third at 41+3.

LillianFullStop · 16/10/2016 22:25

Congrats fraggle!

derryjojo · 16/10/2016 22:38

Congrats Fraggle

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 16/10/2016 22:55
