Titchy - congratulations to you and Bethany.

Sorkycake - hope things are progressing for you now!

Snugglebumnappies - sorry to hear you are feeling so exhausted. Am hoping that either you go into labour soon or pains will calm down and become more manageable. Still, it would be great of you could have the waterbirth you wanted.

Homebirth back on again for me. Mw did home visit today and will contact obstr/registrar to tell them to leave me in peace. And I won't have to bother with kick charts and going in for CTG traces

Have a good w/end everyone and lets hope there are a few more births by Monday.

Congratulations Titchy, looking forward to your story when you're able to post. Hope she's not too long in SCBU.
Sallyallyally - no is the simple answer.
Just the odd niggle here. M/w took 45 minutes to get to me last night due to traffic so will have to bear this in mind for ringing again. She's concerned I won't ring now until the baby is waving at me, she's very astute!
I'm going to keep an eye on my cervix for thinning for her and once it has gone AWOL and the niggles start again I've got to ring her as she suspects I'll dilate fast from thereon in. Lets hope so.
I'm changing my ansaphone message to include "No I have not given birth yet, yes I know I thought I was in labour but I'm still here, Yes we will ring you if anything happens!"

Hi all - been a busy few days - looks like I missed out on all the baby excitement!!

WELL DONE TITCHY! Sounds like you did a FAB job - hope you are enjoying your LO!

Well, had an appointment with the neurologist last week and then with consultant this week and it has been decided that I will need to have a c-section to ensure my and LO's safety. Was a bit scared at first, but have thought it all through and know that if it means that we are both going to be ok, then I guess a little abdominal surgery is the least I can do! Date booked for the 13th of Feb. Very excited to see what this little wriggler looks like!

I know it's not a race but I'm going to sob if all you ladies having sections around the 13th have your babies and I'm still pg!
I don't get my sweep until the 13th, so it might be a busy old week eh?

lol sorky - im sure you wont still be pg by then!

Thread will be quiet though we'll all be cooing over the new additions!

andy rob my c sec is the 6th if you update them again.

had my last midwife app today, was looking forward to a nice relaxin time bp urine palpatation etc. oh no its not enough that im worried about my cs but get there and bp was up and lo wouldnt move. bp kept rising and i started having tightenings. i was sent to del suit and stripped into a gown laid me on the bed i had a few more tightenings and then that was it. bp went back to normal lo had a kick and no more tightenings...

is that a false alarm? why do they do that??

i feel really deflated even tho i know i will have my lo in 4 days am gutted that today didnt amount to anything.

hope everyone else is ok.

have a good weekend

CONGRATULATIONS Titchy, LOVE the name Bethany is high up on our list for a girl.

Moosma- most of your phil and teds...have been v tempted to go for one.

Went to park today with ds and dd as weather glorious, kids had a ball. Had to rescue dd from top of climbing frame though...couldnt believe noone offered to help but just stood and watched my whale like self struggle to get to her (suppose I must've looked fairly amusing!).

MoosMa · 02/02/2007 19:45

I can sympathise there HC, I went to anc today with DD1 in tow (in P&T ), got there and there were no seats left, so I stood while 2 men ignored me. After about a minute I asked one to move which he did with a bit of a harrumph!

Congrats to Titchy and Bethany! another one who has delivered before me....BUT honestly hope all goes well in scbu. They are a wonderful unit and do such brilliant things with such small lo's.

SmudgeMum, suppose I was lucky I had a sweep so close to term. I was actually 40 weeks exactly when they did it. My mw was going to do it on the day before but tbh I think she put me off it as she had a surgery full of expectant mothers to be... BUT due to babies size and my concerns they referred me to the hospital where a registra discussed things for me and offered a sweep. Think she would see how desperate I was lol.!! BUT doesn't seem to have made any difference as here I am 2 days later still like a beached whale .
Think ds2b is either taking after most males or is comfy..!!

Hope others are all ok. x

hi, good to have a new thread - just taken me nearly half an hour to catch up on all the news already though!

Everything seems very real now with cs's booked and so on and lots of false labour. And congratulations Titchy, lovely name - virtually the same as what we've chosen for bubba if she's a girl.

I've been having quite a lot of aches and dull pains over the last few days but nothing to show for it. Been unable to find my cervix so far when doing perineal massage so guess I will be going into the overdue category unless bubba arrives tomorrow. I've been explaining to bubba that everything is ready to go now, no need to wait, but no luck so far.

Post again tomorrow I guess and good luck in the meantime to whoever's next.

Can't believe we've chalked up 92 messages in less than 2 days ! Easy seen that we are mostly all finished work now !

.. and congratulations Titchy, there are a lot of jealous ladies in waiting here wishing it was them.

I have to say that much as I am nervous of the actual business of getting the LO out of me, I have kind of had enough of being pg now. My insomniac sleep pattern is now allowing me just 40 mins to 1 hour asleep before I have to get back up again and my poor body just isn't getting a chance to rest properly. I do wonder if I am going to have the energy for labour when it does come around.

Suis - I hope you've managed to get some sleep since your post. I was up a couple of times last night but moved from bed to sofa and managed to go back to sleep. I do feel like I've got a massive crick in my neck now but I'm hoping a bath will sort that. I am disappointed that DD came and went for us with no baby to show for it. I've got periody type crampy pains (not painful, just there) so I'm hoping that it's the start of things gently.

It's supposed to be lovely weather this weekend so hope we can all take advantage and get out and about. Going for a run Currantbun? Haven't heard from you for a while so I hope all is still well.

Anyone else get the feeling that if things kick off today they'll be encouraged by DH to wait until the rugby is finished?

Morning - updated stats!! We are waiting on 40 or so babies to make an apperance! The gaps in the table are just the start of a new week, to make it easier to see who is due each week. It will be interesting to see how many different types of births we get - home, hospital, c-section and how many boys and girls - and the range of weights - or am I just a sad person who is fascinated by stats!

I felt great yesterday - full of energy and raring to go .... until 9pm when I flopped! Got a busy weekend so don't need bay coming early - dd goes dancing today and we are baking this afternoon, and then she has two parties tomorrow.

I know that this is not strictly baby related but with valentine's day coming up and knowing I could be a tad busy I bought DH's prezzie yesterday. I was in the local shopping centre and there was a Venture photography stand. They've got a really good offer on at the moment for a one hour photo session and 7' x 5' photo of your choice for £25 (as opposed to the diabolical £125). Thought this would be ideal to have a photo of DH, me and LO in a few weeks once it has decided to make an appearance. Also thought it was quite a good price (No I don't work for them!!) Just thought I'd share if this was something that others may be interested in. You can get the offer off their website too.

Smudge, supposed to be good weather where? It's frosty and cold here in the North West!

So envious of all of you who know when their baby is coming, as I am not due till end of month am going to be sat out here on the an thread on my own I bet! Had another disturbed night, DH said my pelvis cracking sounded like tree branches being snapped!! Also tried to go to bed early but our house backs onto a feid that is used by the mindless youths in the area (ohhh how old do I sound!) as a congregation area to get pissed and prob other things that make me want to heave at the moment! Anyway our bedroom is at the front of the house, DS is at the back but as the garden is an ok size he doesn't get disturbed much, but as they are sooooo noisy when they leave the feild they woke both me and DD (who's room is also at the front) with their mindless shouting etc, could hear one of them vomiting all the way up the street, they should be glad I have SPD or I would have been out of bed so fast and dragging them home to vomit in their own front garden they wouldn't have know what had hit them! (Grumpy old woman that I am!!)
My gorgeous fabric has arrived so I am going to go out and buy some plain fabric for curtains etc when the fog had faded!

Bouncy just seen your message, we had some venture pics done a while ago, about 12 months now, they were fantastic and the photographer was very good with our autistic son. Myself and DH didn't go on the photos, just the kids, as I hate having my photo taken and would never have had it up on the wall. Have to warn you we ended up spending a fortune, just short of £2,000 om two framed pics (one had three large gallery shots that is up in the dining room and the other has 13 smaller shots, up in the kitchen/family room. They are excellent quality and will have some more done when bump is walking, so have about another year to save for them!!

bouncy - don't want to rain on your parade but Venture are always giving away "offers" like that - I don't know anyone who has had to pay the full £125 for the package. There are a few threads on Venture around the place if you want to getsome other veiws aswell.

Snugglebumnappies - I'll be with you til the end of Feb I reckon

Felt really awful last night - baby seems to have droppped a few feet (!) and everything is really uncomfortable
