Esker that's a good point! I only have a few lessons in the sixth form block but the larger I get the slower I will be!! I'm going to confide in one person at work but I'm scared to... Last time when I had my MC the SLT advertised my responsibility without my permission, made me very stressed and had to get unions involved. I'm worried they will do something similar as I'm now head of ks4 maths. I know legally they can't but I just get worried I'll be treated differently.

Salivating at those olives mumi!

I was gonna go to Tesco with the toddler but I feel too sick, DH will have to go later. I'm ok sitting relatively still in the house but the thought of heading out feels too much

SussexTeacher · 31/08/2016 13:20

jpeg I can't believe they did that!!

I feel very fortunate to work with such a lovely staff base. I'm nervous telling the school but only because I know they will struggle to find someone to take over. We have had zero luck with hiring decent people and I'm the only one in my department that teaches A Level. Plus I'll be leaving before exam season so my exam classes will be gutted.

No idea how I'm going to get through lesson without needing a wee!

jpeg28 · 31/08/2016 13:40

I know Sussexteacher it was so awful and I was emotional and vulnerable as it was! In the end the job they advertised didn't get filled (no maths teachers anywhere!) so I've ended up doing the job I had in the first place but managed to wangle some more time on my timetable... Think they got scared I would pursue it with unions!
I'm really worried about leaving my exam classes but I guess we can just teach them as much as possible up until April! I'm mainly worried about lack of energy and people will know because I'm usually a coffee addict!

naranciata · 31/08/2016 14:20

Booked in with midwife this morning and now have so much to read! There's a MW-led unit in my town then a hospital unit in the next town over. Really no clue which to go for.

naranciata · 31/08/2016 14:26

Also had slightly traumatic moment with bloods at booking in and ended up with 7 holes across both arms and no sample. My veins are pathetic and spindly Sad so I have to go to the hospital for my bloods now. Cried on MW about this - unbelievably emotional at the moment!

Bubbinsmakesthree · 31/08/2016 14:33

On breathlessness - last time I really noticed this - I have two flights of stairs to my office and I used to have to stop for a breather after one, long before I actually got big.

And on early bumps - both this time and last time I found I had an absurd bump really early on, then it went and didn't really return until there was actually enough baby in there to justify it!

Managed to summon enough energy to take the toddler out to a nature trail for a "run around" - he insisted on being carried the whole time - exhausted!

hummingbird100 · 31/08/2016 15:58

Bubbins my toddler is like that! He used to love to walk for ages but now he's cottoned onto the fact that being lazy is quite nice sometimes. We'll set off minus buggy and seconds later he's like 'carry!' with his arms up. He's watched about a billion episodes of Bing today, I do feel bad we haven't got out for a bit...maybe in a few more minutes...

Number4OnTheWay · 31/08/2016 17:36

Bubbins my dd2 bump was like that, it got huge then just stayed where it was for ages while baby grew to fill it. DS bump (my last one) was non existent until around 30 weeks when suddenly over night it for huge! I was kind nd of hoping for one like that again

Bubbinsmakesthree · 31/08/2016 17:50

Talking of bumps and symptoms - a relative on DH's side has just found out she was pregnant at 35 weeks!!! Shock

I have never understood how that can possibly happen. I pretty much knew before I took the test at 4 weeks! Even if you're one of the lucky few who don't get symptoms in the first trimester, don't you wonder what the hell is kicking you in the ribs by the time you're 35 weeks pregnant?

Celen · 31/08/2016 17:59

Shock Bubbins, yes how on earth is that possible?!! I'd be very freaking worried if I had movement in my belly but apparently not pregnant! HmmConfused

Wow Bubbins!! I'm the same, I tested positive at about 3+5 with this one, my earliest. I knew I was due my period within the next few days but I walked into the bathroom and randomly retched, got a 3 pack of tests from Poundland later (2 faint positive, 1 negative) then got a 1-2 on a CBD the next day and have felt sick on and off since then, with ridiculous exhaustion. I'm always a bit jealous of these people who sail through weeks of pregnancy unaware, but it must have been really terrifying getting to that stage and finding out!

Puggleface · 31/08/2016 18:11

Gosh bubbins! I had a friend who 'didn't know' she was pregnant until she gave birth but if I'm honest with you I think it's more likely that she was in denial after getting pregnant after a one night stand! When I asked her about it, she said the thought she might be pregnant but not very far gone. She gave birth in the back of an ambulance on the way to hospital! Shock

jpeg28 · 31/08/2016 18:12

Wow that's insane! I knew I was pg pretty much from 7dpo... Just knew! 35 weeks is crazy! Did she not put on weight and have a very very round tummy with a kicking baby inside?!
