Yes jpeg about that....by the 28-day cycle way to work out dates that the midwife used I'd have been 6 weeks on Saturday but I have a slightly longer cycle than 28 days so I reckon I'd be 6 weeks about now...fingers crossed, I'll ask about hcg as I've seen a lot about that but never had it done!

choccybiscuit · 30/08/2016 12:41

jpegand mumi so pleased for you Both!

marmitecheesetoast · 30/08/2016 12:56

Hi all,

Just checking in after a long weekend away with next to no mobile signal! We were with my parents (who know) and my brother and his girlfriend (who don't know). Anyway, they pulled my mum into a room one evening and apparently asked her all giggling if I was pregnant as I wasn't drinking. They are immature at the best of times but thought this was pretty childish. Even if you suspect something you shouldn't bring it up until you're told, right!!?
Also, I thought I was doing a good job of hiding it. Got the barman to pour Becks Blue into a half pint glass for me at the pub to look like a normal beer and I thought my tonic and lime looked like a G&T too Shock

Still catching up properly but if you see this Bertie so sorry Flowers good luck for the future. And congrats on the driving test!

Good news Mumi and Stubo. that's funny about your colleague Stubo! At least you know you won't out each other! Grin

Hummingbird FX for you and hope you're managing not to feel too anxious.

I just got a call from the place I've got my early scan booked on Thursday. They've had to cancel it Angry it's been moved to Saturday now which I know is only 2 days later but means I'm going to have to move plans around and also I feel like i've been working towards this Thursday for several weeks now, not happy about having to wait a bit longer!

7+2 today and food aversions list beginning to grow Hmm

RaRa25 · 30/08/2016 13:02

Congrats mumi and jpeg.
Welcome to the newbies. Wow we have a long list now!

hummingbird100 · 30/08/2016 13:10

Thanks marmite nurse spoke to EPAC and I have a scan Thursday afternoon at 2:30. I can't tell today if I feel sick with pregnancy nausea or sick with anxiety Sad

MumiTravels · 30/08/2016 13:21

Marmite - we have a family wedding to go to in about 10 days time. I don't want to tell people yet, not even close family. I want just me and DH to have a bit of time to ourselves but my family know I'm partial to a jagerbomb or two so don't know how I'm going to go about it. DS will be at the venue in bed with a baby sitter in our room watching him so it's not even like I can say I want to stay sober to look after him. Not sure what to do. Do I just tell them but I don't want them to feel like I've taken any of their excitement away from them. Do I just tell my DH that he needs to get pissed as a fart so to divert attention away from me haha. I hope I don't spew in the church. It's an early wedding.

I have my booking on 12th September which is only two weeks away. She wasn't very clear about whether they'll scan me again or not at 8 weeks. I hope so as I want a photo of my little blob.

Good luck ladies for your early scans this week .

MyGreenSofa · 30/08/2016 13:36

Good news jpeg and mumi!
*
Mumi -* if you do spew at the wedding you could say you had a stomach bug and that's why you're not drinking!

LotsaTuddles · 30/08/2016 13:36

At my old gp's you'd see mw, who would refer for scan at booking. I moved Drs between dd and last time, I assumed it'd be the same - nope.

I had letter for booking appt (then mc, so epu cancelled that) then a couple of weeks later a letter with my 12 week scan appt - which I then had to ring up and cancel

It depends on the area and midwives I think

Celen · 30/08/2016 13:38

I know it seems forever hummingbird but at least it's only a couple of days? I've had to wait 5/6 days before for a scan at my EPU Confused Hopefully it's nothing to worry about further x

Mumi - or that you're so totally hungover from the night before!!

Bubbinsmakesthree · 30/08/2016 13:46

Ahh Mumi that is brilliant news after being left in limbo!

hummingbird - it's so very likely that the brown spotting is nothing to worry about, but with your history of course you're going to be anxious. Flowers

Great news from jpeg too.

Could really do with an afternoon snooze but DS increasingly refuses to nap for me (sleeps like a dream with the childminder, obviously!). Praying today he will sleep so I can sleep too!

MumiTravels · 30/08/2016 13:58

We're having a bit of a girls night the night before with the bride etc so I can't say I'm too hungover or anything as she'll see me not drinking much the night beforeanything because it'll be orange juice.

I think I'm just going to have to own up aren't I Hmm

hummingbird100 · 30/08/2016 14:23

Thanks all Smile I'm feeling very tired and a bit sick today which I'm hoping is a good sign! Hope everyone is having a nice day, the weather is lovely!

Bubbinsmakesthree · 30/08/2016 14:30

It's so hard trying to keep the secret Mumi - whatever excuse you make for not drinking people are likely to guess, it's inevitable!

jpeg28 · 30/08/2016 14:40

Mumi when I was pg last time I just told people I was doing a 100 day detox without any alcohol... No one guessed I was pg!! This time round it's much harder as more people knew about the MC therefore I think have been expecting me to get pg. I'm worried about how I can hide it at work when I go back next week because I just feel so awful all the time! X

mrsbobflob · 30/08/2016 14:59

Hi all! I'm 6+3 today with DC 2, due on 23rd April. Made my booking appointment today- didn't expect to have it so soon, but booked for the end of the week. Starting to feel a bit real now! So tired with a toddler running around Smile

sarahhh1984 · 30/08/2016 15:14

Congratulations Mumi and jpeg! Very happy for you!

I'm 6w today and have my early scan on Thursday afternoon. Very nervous about it. The spotting has mostly gone away now but my only real symptom is my ever expanding boobs (and the fact that they're going all veiny). No nausea or morning sickness to speak of, just getting tired more easily. Just hope everything with the scan goes OK.

hummingbird100 · 30/08/2016 15:25

Sarahhh I think we're almost exactly the same! I think I'm 6 weeks today, I also have a scan on Thursday after some spotting this morning.

onecrazycook · 30/08/2016 15:28

Gosh I'm so bloated and crampy. Hope everything's ok in there because I've felt like my period is coming for the last 5 days. And apologies for TMI, but I have the farts something chronic Confused

Anyone else feeling similar or do I speak to my GP? Not heard a bean from the midwife yet and I'm 6+5

onecrazycook · 30/08/2016 15:30

Mumi I'm living with my in laws and it was my birthday yesterday but got away with not drinking by saying I'm concentrating my efforts on Slimming World as I've nearly lost 2.5st and am avoiding drink.

They bought it

sarahhh1984 · 30/08/2016 15:44

The spotting's so scary, isn't it, hummingbird? The lady I spoke to on the phone at my local EPAU was so helpful and reassuring that it was probably OK, but I think I'll be nervous until the scan! Nice to meet someone who's at the same point as me! Grin

jpeg28 · 30/08/2016 15:48

onecrazycook you're the same as me 6+5! That's a great excuse! I think I'll try and use that one. Ask well done on losing 2.5st!

I'm really worried about being enthusiastic back at school! Today I've spent two hours in bed as felt so awful... Won't be able to to do that in the middle of a lesson!!

onecrazycook · 30/08/2016 16:01

Jpeg I reckon it'll buy me a few more weeks! I'm finding myself falling asleep at work in the afternoon too. Friday night I was suddenly so tired at 10.30pm I had to go to bed. I'm usually a mega night owl so DH was stunned! lol

MumiTravels · 30/08/2016 16:07

onecrazycook the farts are from your uterus expanding and having to move your bowel upwards. It's all just escaping Grin

SharkBastard · 30/08/2016 16:18

Glad to see scans have gone well for people! I'm on a glamping holiday and I can barely stay awake! I'm beyond tired!

Had to leave my husband and DD to go down to the beach so I could sleep in the car and I felt like death when I woke! Can barely keep my eyes open. We are hiring a boat for the Broads tomorrow so God knows how I'm going to cope!
