So sorry Bertie Flowers

MumiTravels · 29/08/2016 15:36

I've had to plonk DS in front of a DVD as I can't do anything but lay here and cramp and sweat. I've made a bucket of fruit tea with a few paracetamol dissolved in there to see if it is digestive.

I haven't eaten anything particularly wind producing, I've had muesli, a brushetta with cream cheese and an avocado.

Wish DH was home Sad

Strubo · 29/08/2016 15:39

mumi I hope it settles for you.

I'm back from EPU, blob is quite happy, strong heartbeat, all fine. She said I have an area of blood that's well away from baby but might cause more spotting but not to worry if it's just spotting and doesn't get worse. She also said I could call and discuss it anytime if I was worried which was nice.

What was weird was meeting one of my work colleagues in the waiting room! Neither of us knew the other was pregnant so that was a bit awkward!

naranciata · 29/08/2016 15:43

Lots of love Bertie. X

LotsaTuddles · 29/08/2016 15:56

The weather's a bit more bearable today! Although I have got thin trousers on and no top!

Sounds odd Mumi. Rest as much as you can.

As much as he's a pita, I'm quite glad dh is home. Even just for his ability to bring me a glass of water and keep the dc's out of the toilet.

As helpful as he's trying to be, a tiny nearly 3 year old patting you on the back and chattering away isn't that comforting Hmm. When I was pregnant he was 6 months old last time so oblivious Grin

Bubbinsmakesthree · 29/08/2016 16:11

Great news strubo and glad they sound lovely and helpful at your EPU! Super awks about your colleague though! Is it someone it will be helpful to have as a confidante now the cat is out of the bag or is it not that useful?

Lotsa my just-2yo thought it was a jolly game of peekaboo when I was sat on the bathroom floor with my head in my hands earlier.

Just realised I left my booking in appointment forms on the desk in the room where DH's niece will be staying. That would have been a bit of a blow to our attempts to keep this secret! Soooo not looking forward to her staying - even if I am not feeling sick (which I mostly am!) I am grumpy and bad company most evenings at the moment!

ChatEnOeuf · 29/08/2016 16:36

So sorry Bertie - do look after yourself. Congrats on the theory pass Flowers

Glad all is still okay in there, strubo.

Puggle all six of my pregnancies have been slightly different. With DD I had no symptoms until about 8w. A threatened miscarriage at 7w and morning sickness in the traditional sense. Number 2 was symptoms free until MC, number 3 was twins and I was so, so sick from about 10dpo until I miscarried. DS was a horrid pregnancy. I bled all through the first trimester, was sick morning and evening and I was puffy throughout. Despite this, he looked fine (if small) until he was born. Sickness ahoy again last time, but nothing else, it died away about a week before I miscarried. This time no bleeding (yet), apart from a couple of days of brown spotting around the time AF was due. Nausea all day but manageable; left boob is sore, right one not so much.

MumiTravels · 29/08/2016 16:54

So pleased for you Strubo. You'll be fighting over the loo with her haha

Hayls17 · 29/08/2016 17:04

So sorry bertieFlowers

hummingbird100 · 29/08/2016 18:18

Fighting the tiredness today, I feel like I'm walking through fog. DS is two and in nursery tomorrow (I only work 1 day a week at the mo) but I'm kind of dreading the rest of the week on my own with him, he's so energetic at the moment and I just want to lie down all the time

Puggleface · 29/08/2016 18:34

Ok so sorry Bertie you probably won't see this, but be kind to yourself Flowers

Thanks for all the replies and different pregnancies! I find it all so interesting! I think I just expected everything to be similar to last time! No matter how many times people say 'no pregnancy is the same' I just thought that was so cliché!

I told a friend face to face today (2of my other friends know but I'd told them over text) I couldn't even say the words out loud! I tried so many times! Instead I told her I needed some good excuses not to drink! She got it straight away but yeah I'm really struggling with the words 'I'm pregnant' Shock

Had an epic 2 hour nap this afternoon! Complete with crazy pregnancy dreams!

oh and I'm so pleased for your strubo

LuchiMangsho · 29/08/2016 18:47

So so sorry Bertie. And good luck for the future.

jpeg28 · 29/08/2016 18:51

So happy it went well Strubo!

Really interesting to hear about all the different pregnancies. I've decided my boobs only hurt in the evening and I feel the most sick when I drink water... Not ideal!!

Just been out for an early dinner with my parents and I didn't want anything! I usually will eat at any time of the day regardless of being hungry but I just didn't want anything! Ended up eating half a boring margarita as it's all I could stomach.

More brown spotting today... Scan tomorrow so keeping everything crossed!!

choccybiscuit · 29/08/2016 19:10

I'm so sorry to hear your news bertie wishing you well for the future Flowers.
I'm back from going away for a wedding, it was fab but the no drinking sucks! Luckily no one guessed at all. Been having more nausea, but it seems to be worse when I'm tired or hungry. I can't leave eating for long at all now.
Welcome to all the newly pregnant ones! And celenand strubo so pleased your blobs are ok! Sorry if I've missed anyone out!

Celen · 29/08/2016 19:49

Hello, am not sure how this thread works but please can I join? 😃 I'm pregnant with baby number 2, EDD 4 April. Feeling ill, ill, ill! Am nauseous 24 hours a day and never been so tired. Just want to lay in bed. I wake up every day just willing for the night time to come so I can go back to bed.

MumiTravels · 29/08/2016 20:37

Hellooo GBBO *waves

I would add you to the list but I messed up the order last time so I'll wait until a responsible adult comes along.

Hope it passes soon!

Hello!! We've just completed part 1 of our camping trip. We were at the most basic campsite for the weekend that I refuse to shower at! We were camping with a big group of friends and it was so hard keeping the pregnancy secret. I just wanted to throw up all the time!
Now we are in Weymouth with phone signal and hot showers and nice toilets on our own and I'm still feeling sick but at least I can wallow in the sickness rather than pretending.

So pleased to read of all the good scan results Smile and good luck jpeg tomorrow xx

choccybiscuit · 29/08/2016 21:42

number4 oooh I love Weymouth! I used to go every year, haven't been camping for a few years there though. We usually camp in east fleet campsite, where are you? Have a lovely time 😊
