We are at higher moor farm, it boasts award winning toilets, and honestly they are amazing!! They don't have a 'lights out' policy though 😕 so lots of noise still going on :(

Ilovegreatbritishbakeoff · 29/08/2016 23:55

Thanks for the welcome and adding me to the list! Strubo - nice we share the same date. It's good to be able to talk about being pregnant here......no one knows in real life!

Bubbinsmakesthree · 30/08/2016 07:25

Proving challenging already trying to conceal morning sickness from DH's niece - had to turn radio and shower on whilst I threw up! Oh well, 7 weeks today, 1 more week and that's half way from when I found out to 12 week scan.

choccybiscuit · 30/08/2016 08:12

I'll look that one up number4, I'm thinking of booking two weeks camping next year, should be fun with a newborn! Grin

Bubbinsmakesthree · 30/08/2016 09:00

Ugh! it is a beautiful day, I need to get out with DS but I feel so tired and sick Sad

hummingbird100 · 30/08/2016 09:04

Panicking this morning after seeing a tiny brown smudge on the loo roll....wouldn't normally bother me as I know it's normal for most but this is how I realised last time I'd had a mmc...trying not to panic, I'm only just 6 weeks.

Celen · 30/08/2016 09:19

Oh hummingbird, how worrying Sad

Are you in the UK? Do you have a local EPU?

OP posts:
jpeg28 · 30/08/2016 09:34

hummingbird try not to worry, I've had that for two weeks now and I've just been to EPU and seen a tiny flickering heartbeat measuring 6+5... The doctor was not bothered by the brown spotting at all!!

Celen · 30/08/2016 09:38

Yay jpeg, very pleased for you! Smile

I could ring the midwife, or could I call EPU directly? I asked the mw when she rang the other week if I could have extra scans and she was lovely but said no unless massive bleeds/cramps. My mmc was at 9 weeks but I had very very very light bleed at almost 12 weeks, nagged them for a scan and they discovered no heartbeat.Sad

A lot of EPUs are self-refer hummingbird. I'd Google EPU or EPAU in your area and see if it lists any info - even a tel number will do. Give them a call & tell them what's happening - and I'd mention your history too. Let me know or PM me if you need more help, sadly I have experience in this area x

Good luck with your scan jpeg

I just got my appointment letter for my booking appointment - on the 20th of September! Shock That is so far away, I'll be nearly 12 weeks. I really hope they book my scan separately and I get a letter soon, and they don't put that in motion at the booking in. Feels like I have to wait ages for the next thing. DH helpfully pointed out that as I'm waiting nine months anyway it doesn't really matter.

jpeg28 · 30/08/2016 10:51

Thanks MrsRhubarb... It went well, baby looks good and is 6+5... Ovary weird thing is gone! Feeling so happy and relieved.

Hummingbird I would call the EPU just to put your mind at ease. My one is self refer just give them a bell and I'm sure they will see you. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

BertieBotts · 30/08/2016 11:01

Thanks for messages everyone. Jpeg that is such good news about your scan, I'm so happy for you! :)

hummingbird100 · 30/08/2016 11:12

I've called the EPAC, they said to get a referral from GP or mw. Couldn't get hold
of mw so I'm seeing the practice nurse at 12:20 today who can refer me.

I feel like I'm making a massive panic about a smudge of brown spotting but I'm so anxious...also, how do you PM someone on here? I'm using the app x

Celen · 30/08/2016 11:32

That's good hummingbird, at least a step in right direction.

I'm using mobile site so no idea how to PM someone actually Confused

Helbelle75 · 30/08/2016 11:32

It's understandable to be nervous - I would be too. My circumstances are very similar to yours hummingbird.

Hi all
DD April 17th
let the fun begin!

MumiTravels · 30/08/2016 11:50

I've been to EPU today. There was a little heartbeat and all was fine. EDD 22 April now so was a few days ahead of myself.

jpeg28 · 30/08/2016 11:56

Great news Mumi!! So pleased you saw a little heartbeat. Bet that is a relief for you!!

hummingbird100 · 30/08/2016 12:01

Great news mumi!

Alas there are no dots on the app...I'm off to my appointment now. The nurse said they may scan me tomorrow or the next day - what can they see at this early stage? I'm worried it'll be nothing and then another anxious wait! Argh.

MrsRhubarb · 30/08/2016 12:05

Hooray Mumi! I'm so happy for you!

jpeg28 · 30/08/2016 12:06

Did you say you are 6 weeks hummingbird?? I'm 6+5 and they saw the gestational sac, yolk sac and a flickering heartbeat. They might take your bloods too which is useful to see the hcg rising. Good luck... I'm sure you are absolutely fine but it's good you're getting it checked out for your own piece of mind.

Celen · 30/08/2016 12:32

So pleased for you Mumi!!
