Pregnancy insomnia for me too! Ended up on the sofa as OH had garlic for dinner and it was literally coming out of his pores! It stank and I couldn't stand the smell!! So dreadful nights sleep!

Midrog great news about your scan!!

My boobs are gigantic... Definitely will need new bras asap!

sarahhh1984 · 31/08/2016 07:45

Morning sickness may have kicked in here. Feeling nauseous and can't decide if I want breakfast or not. Horrible dull headache too. Sad Oh well, I did say I wanted more symptoms. Fx these are all good signs for my scan tomorrow...

marmitecheesetoast · 31/08/2016 08:11

Morning all hope we're all doing ok!

Good news/bad news on sickness sarah I'm sure it must mean you've got nice strong pregnancy hormones. Fx but I'm sure your scan will be fine tomorrow. My (paid for) scan was supposed to be tomorrow too and I'm still sulking!

Sorry about your bad nights sleep jpeg next time you should play the pregnancy card and make your DH sleep on sofa! Grin

For those that said about being farty - me too! Except the main theme of mine seem to be smell rather than noise Blush

I'm feeling rather nauseous and shaky this morning and have a long and important meeting at work this morning Sad have found that a weak green tea in the morning is working for me. Gives you a bit of a caffiene kick but doesn't have the dreaded milk in it (which seems to be turning my stomach in the mornings. Never thought I'd go off tea!!)

Went for a swim last night and found I was getting breathless more quickly, or maybe I was just being paranoid about overdoing it? Anyone else found this yet?

marmitecheesetoast · 31/08/2016 08:12

Also hunmingbird omg yes, sneezed this morning and had an almost eye-watering sharp pain, what is going on in there!!?

jpeg28 · 31/08/2016 08:26

hummngbird I have found I am our of breath much quicker, I have to walk up a mega steep hill to get to my road and I've been really struggling with it! Swimming is a good idea... I need to get into an exercise routine!

sarahhh1984 · 31/08/2016 08:27

Sorry your scan got moved, marmite. Must be so annoying.

I've been getting breathless more easily. I'm not super fit by any means but I'm a healthy weight and quite active but I've been finding if I take the stairs too quickly I get really breathless.

Just had a bowl of muesli and nausea is a little better but stomach still feels all swirly. Trying ginger tea now to see if that helps. But I'm sort of glad I've got it as hopefully it means strong pg hormones. Smile

Number4OnTheWay · 31/08/2016 08:44

Those of you getting breathless, it can be normal, but it also might not be. There's lots of blood pumping around your body and you are much more tired than usual so breathlessness can come with that. However it can also be a sign is anaemia. Have you recently had your iron levels checked? It may be worth mentioning it at booking in appointments.

Number4OnTheWay · 31/08/2016 08:46

I feel like crap today. Our airbed is broke :( so I'm currently led on the floor listening to dh tell the kids off in the kitchen tent. I just want to throw my guts up and then go back to bed and sleep for a year!!

sarahhh1984 · 31/08/2016 08:52

Sorry you're feeling rough today, Number4. Thanks for the tip about anaemia. I have my booking appointment on Monday so I'll mention it to the mw.

Welshy11 · 31/08/2016 08:58

Hey ladies insomnia is non existent here I feel like I can constantly sleep. Went the loo last night and walked straight into the chest of drawers stomach first had a mini freak out and luckily the epu took pity on me and have said they will see me today because I was in tears... I was never this irrational before I was pg! Or emotional!
Congrats all on good scans xx

Celen · 31/08/2016 09:15

Oh Number4, that sounds pretty miserable Sad When do you come home?

Number4OnTheWay · 31/08/2016 09:50

Were home on Friday, but it's no wonder I feel so crappy today Hmm I grew!!! I'm only 6 weeks ConfusedBlush (although this is a rubbish angle!

MrsRhubarb · 31/08/2016 10:09

Blergh, one bite of toast this morning sent me running to heave over the kitchen sink. DD helpfully asking "What's wrong mummy?" and "Can you find my Mog book now?" I rather overdid it yesterday even though I was shattered, so me and DD are having a really lazy day now DH is back at work, and I'm off until the weekend.

Number4 Gosh! Hope you survive the rest of your trip

Welshy I am horrifically emotional, I can cry at anything right now. Its a little embarrassing.

jpeg28 · 31/08/2016 10:11

Carrick that's such great news you're having a little boy!!

number4 I really struggled camping... I think feel gross at home is one thing but when you're in a tent without any home comforts it's a nightmare!!

I'm off to London today to see one of my best uni friends... Can't decide whether to tell her or not?!

MrsRhubarb · 31/08/2016 10:13

Hummingbird I feel that same thing when I sneeze, it's quite alarming for a second.

Hooray on your scan Midrog!

LotsaTuddles · 31/08/2016 10:22

God the sneezing!! Why is it so sore. Or coughing lying down.

Sooooo tired but unable to sleep here too. Ds darts preschool on Monday so dd will nap when we get back and hopefully I can too. I can't believe he's going and will be so emotional, but I'm looking forward to the peace and quiet - dd is a great napper so should nap from when we get back till we have to go on the days that he's on half days

I've sprouted too Number4. I feel huge!! This is from a week ago Shock

Helbelle75 · 31/08/2016 10:33

I just started a thread in pregnancy about the pain. Glad it's not just me and it appears to be normal.

Number4OnTheWay · 31/08/2016 10:50

Yes lotsa I'm really looking forward to a proper nap in a few weeks! Both DDS will be at school and DS is a good napper so I'll get some sleep in!

jpeg28 · 31/08/2016 10:52

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a little bump already showing! Although I think mine may have been there before Blush

Just called mw to book in, only slot was Monday and that's inset day. I've had to email headteacher and head of dept... Just said I have an important doctors app but I think it will be pretty obvious why, I never have time of work for doctors. I really don't want anyone at work to know until 12 weeks. My head of dept is so nosey, he called me on results day and told me he hoped I was pg and wouldn't stop going on about it (he knows about MC) but I wish he would just shut up about it! I can only lie to him for so long!

Niks2026 · 31/08/2016 10:54

Those little bumps are so cute!!

I'm hoping I don't show quite as quickly because I'm hoping to hold off telling work until we are back from the October half term. I should have my scan early October but thought it looks a little better if we are at least half a term in to tell them I'll be leaving ConfusedHmm
Feeling pretty sick most days. I'm hungry but don't know what to eat.

Muffin7 · 31/08/2016 11:05

Hi everyone. Just a quick question, we are heading to Cornwall tomorrow and I'm a little worried about what I can and can't eat. Does anybody know if we are allowed to eat shellfish such as mussels and dressed crab?

jpeg28 · 31/08/2016 11:16

muffin as far as I'm aware cooked shellfish is ok once a week. I had crab the other day but I am avoiding it if I can, just in case.
Have a nice time in Cornwall!

MumiTravels · 31/08/2016 12:30

It's because you're both skinny minnies so it's got nothing to hide behind. Us chunky monkeys can conceal it a bit better Grin

My emotions are a bit heightened too. I cried yesterday at the end of Rio (you know, the kids film with the birds).

You can eat cooked shellfish but not raw.

I've just had the most amazing meze from the greek market stall in town. GarLic stuffed olives.. yum.

Esker · 31/08/2016 12:44

Jpeg- re telling people, close mates will work it out? Would you normally drink when seeing her? Hope you have fun!

Hello to all the many teachers!! I have told my head of dept as I love her, but also because I've asked her to request that all my teaching being in one classroom as opposed to trekking between main school building and 6th form block. I don't fancy trying to get from a to b in approximately 0 seconds (as is expected of us Hmm) during lesson changeover when the hallways are absolutely rammed! We also have to carry our laptops everywhere an whilst it's not super heavy I'd prefer to avoid it. (Secretly hoping that they will take my year 13 form away as all the extra work for UCAS is a nightmare and I cba... But that's probably wishful thinking)

marmitecheesetoast · 31/08/2016 12:51

Thanks Number4 on the breathless/anemia tip. I've got booking in appt next week so will mention it then as presumably they take bloods then anyway. I've also been feeling lightheaded so wonder whether it might be related. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Just came out of 3 hour work meeting and all I could think about was how much I wanted a packet of salt & vinegar crisps Hmm
