Mumi I've never felt more attractive and classy Hmm

jpeg28 · 30/08/2016 16:40

Shark sleeping in the car sounds like a great idea! I've been on the sofa all afternoon contemplating eating... Haven't had anything since breakfast as feel so rubbish.

MumiTravels · 30/08/2016 16:57

Sorry ladies Brew

My appetite has not dissappeared unfortunately. Just eaten a pizza and a cookie. I've bought some custard in ready as last time my craving was custard. It was awful. All I could think about was custard all day. It's at hand now though if I need it.

choccybiscuit · 30/08/2016 17:10

I went completely weak and shakey just now as I was soooo hungry. I'm now stuffing my face with chicken pakora and cheese and onion crisps.

Esker · 30/08/2016 17:18

Just catching up on the thread. Wonderful news on those heartbeats Mumi and Jpeg!!

Jpeg I too am feeling apprehensive about going back to school... Just the thought of the hoardes of stampeding year 10s and 11s makes me feel exhausted. Not to mention that I'm supposed to impart knowledge to them Confused

Hope everyone is managing to stay cool today. I just had a mini trifle... There was recently a thread about trifle and ever since then I've been obsessing about it!

jpeg28 · 30/08/2016 17:23

I know esker I'm the same! I'm only teaching ks4 and ks5 this year and they are so not as forgiving as the little ones!! I need something to give me energy and my usual load of caffeine is not allowed!!

Esker · 30/08/2016 18:04

Jpeg I'm in total denial. Could get on with dorm planning now but instead I'm lying on the sofa watching Sex And the City Hmm

Oh well, I work better under time pressure Grin

Bought lots of mixed fruit and nut snack boxes from M&S to keep at work for energy. Won't be the same as caffeine though. Sniffle.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 30/08/2016 18:07

I cannot imagine the horror of teaching feeling this rough! Shock Sympathies! Flowers

MonkeyArms · 30/08/2016 18:08

Hello everyone! Just catching up from being on an incredibly slow connection. Fab news on the scans front. My classiest moment so far has been farting so loudly in the middle of the night that i woke up the neighbours. Luckily we dont known them.....

Helbelle75 · 30/08/2016 18:09

Another teacher here and dreading next week. I have my booking in appointment thurs though so that's an afternoon off!

MyGreenSofa · 30/08/2016 18:22

Wow monkeyarm, that's some farting! How do you know it woke them up?!!

MonkeyArms · 30/08/2016 18:41

sofa it was 3 in the morning and they were giggling. Pretty sure they would have been asleep as they normally go to bed pretty early. Blush. I was asleep throughout but my husband has told me several times that it was the most amazing noise he has heard come out of a human. I'm vaguely feeling that I'm not keeping the romance alive during this pregnancy....

SussexTeacher · 30/08/2016 19:29

Another secondary teacher, and head of department really not looking forward to returning!

I'm just worried about what I'll do needing the toilet so often.... Argh!

Number4OnTheWay · 30/08/2016 20:26

Just catching up, but for anyone trying to hide not drinking, anti biotics are your friend!! If they're too nosey and ask what you're taking them for, tell them it's a urine infection. Guaranteed they won't ask any more or suspect anything!!

Number4OnTheWay · 30/08/2016 20:38

Mumi, so glad the scan was all good!!

Midrog · 30/08/2016 21:27

Aww love reading what everyone has been up to! I went and had my early scan (that we paid for). It was magical! Little dot has a lovely heartbeat and is the right size for dates (8+2). I cried the whole time...Grin

choccybiscuit · 30/08/2016 21:34

That's great news midrog!

MumiTravels · 30/08/2016 22:16

I'm a nurse and didn't think if that. I've also been complaining that my back is sore which would also account for an infection.
Genius.

DH wants to tell his mum and dad soon because he's really excited. Is it wrong that I just want a few days of it being special just for our little family unit.

Great news Midrog!

Niks2026 · 30/08/2016 22:59

Loving the great news on the scans and heartbeats. Congrats! It's such a magical moment.
I also work in a school but I'm the admin manager so I can hide away in my office. I generally wee loads anyway because I drink lots of water. I cannot get over how painful and huge my boobs are. I'm only around 5-6 weeks and feel like I need new bras already. I was also going to treat myself to some new work clothes as mine are a little too casual. I feel it would be a waste of money to buy clothes now as in a couple of months I'll be out growing them but I also feel silly buying maternity clothes this soon.
I've got an appointment with the GP on the 7th then from there I contact the midwife. 12wk scan should be early October which I feels like forever away :( I had early scans with my 2 girls. Wonder if I can wangle one this time?!?

onecrazycook · 30/08/2016 23:06

In bed doing that shoulder shaking silent laugh that pisses off DH at MonkeyArms super fart

onecrazycook · 30/08/2016 23:56

I think my MIL knows.

I won a baby box full of samples in a competition and it was delivered to the house today. It's not wrapped at all. MIL took the delivery and has been asking DH if it's for my sister (who has a 1yr old adopted baby boy).

Sigh

Celen · 31/08/2016 07:03

How nosey onecrazycook Shock I wouldn't dream of asking someone about their post, whether I'd seen the contents or not Hmm

Niks I'm only 9+3 but my old maternity bras came out at about 6/7 weeks - the comfort Grin

Ugh I feel sick this morning....really really sick. And round ligament pain!! I sneezed and thought my left ovary would pop out Confused the toddler treated us to a medley of songs at half 4 and wouldn't go back to sleep, I will definitely be napping with him later! Hope everyone had a good night's sleep

Bubbinsmakesthree · 31/08/2016 07:28

No good night's sleep here - I was awake for hours, was sick a few times and then forced myself to get up and make some toast. Oh well, advantage of vomiting in middle of night is that other people (DH's family) are asleep so at least the secrecy can be maintained!

At home with the toddler again today - feel so guilty we've been at home for four days and all I've managed is to stagger to the park with him a couple of times.

Celen · 31/08/2016 07:36

Usual pregnancy insomnia so no good night here either Hmm

Bubbins don't feel guilty. I've been avoiding all the sunny weather because it just makes me feel sicker and more tired. We've been putting on a film for ds (3)!every afternoon in an attempt to get some quiet time for me not that it's working as the little sod still expects me to entertain him and ask a zillion questions I just hope the second trimester will be kinder!
