Milky I rung my GP surgery and asked who I should book an appointment with. Procedure at my surgery is a double appointment with the GP and then I had to ring the midwives and inform them.

Hello!! I'm another one who has been lurking for a while and am now coming out the shadows!

Due DC2 approx. 15 April, although have variable cycles so expect my EDD to vary one way or another. I have DS1 who is 21 months and am hoping it'll be a nice age gap. Very little in the way of symptoms here, other than extreme fatigue- which may actually be due to my job really.

Does anyone else here work shifts? I am really struggling with work at the moment and particularly night shifts, which I just can't sleep after. I'm concerned I'm only coming up for 6 weeks and already feel at breaking point with work... I'm hoping it'll improve when I let others know about the pregnancy.

My heart goes out to everyone who has miscarried, it's so so difficult to go through such a loss.

Looking forward to chatting with you all over the coming months. I'm happy with a Facebook group as long as its definitely totally secret! xxx

@chocoholic - how bizarre to need to see the GP. What did you need to see a GP for that a midwife can't do. I'll ring my surgery, hopefully just a booking with the midwife will do.

@StripeyFox - I work full time shifts too. 13 hour days and 12 hour nights. Just finished 3 night shifts and I was okay. I don't feel any different yet though. Just a bit mardy. I've got a toddler too which seems more exhausting the work at the minute haha

It's bugging me irrationally that milky chops is out of order. :o

I have to congratulate everyone though on such a brilliant selection of names on this thread! :)

Has the original list been c&p and I've just fallen off it and need to re-add myself or is this a brand new list? If it's a new list shall I just c&p the most up to date list from the last thread and re-add myself and any newbies? Save filling up the thread with stats?

I am due 14th April, DC2. But please don't add me to the list yet. I am feeling superstitious. Have had m/cs before. I had some brown blood (couple of streaks on Friday)- on a train from Zurich to Basel so that was fun. I thought I was going to miscarry on that train. Fine since then but having never bled in my last successful pregnancy I never know what to believe. Took another pregnancy test yesterday and it was positive. But I don't really believe my body. Booked in for a 6 week scan on Monday when I am back in the UK and will update all of you then.

Somehow I've been deleted from the list earlier on, so just adding myself back in.

Hello to all the new people!

I have had one of those days today. First the toddler pooed out of the side of his nappy, and trailed it all over the house, all over him, the carpet, and as I only discovered on the way BACK from the nursery run, all over me as well. Thank goodness i was working from home today
Then both toddler and 3 year old an absolute nightmare after nursery, and I have only just managed to creep out of my 18 month olds room as, despite him going to sleep easily on his own every night for the last 9 months, tonight he screamed like a banshee every time I left the room. They just know don't they!

And I can't even complain to my husband about my day when he gets back from a week away as he will absolutely definitely respond with some sort of sarcastic comment about it not getting any better when we have three.

Well at least i don't have to go to work tomorrow, and so far my sickness is no where near as bad as it was by this time with my last Dc (although that makes me worry slightly too). Don't want to wish time away but could quite happily wish the next 7 weeks away...

I have GP appt booked for next Tuesday to get the ball rolling with midwife referral. Still very few symptoms...sore boobs still though and lower back starting to be uncomfortable in bed which I do remember starting fairly early on last time. I am tired but then I do have a toddler so not sure if it's anything more than that normal tired! We are going to be on holiday when I would be due my 12 week scan so thinking of seeing if I can get an earlier private one.

Totally know what you mean about the hunger bertie mine has been insatiable since last weekend, although seems to have eased off again a bit now.

StripeyFox I work shifts too - not done any nights just yet in this pregnancy, but I felt off form on my long days over the weekend. I'm hungry all the time, and so long as I eat regularly I can keep on top of it, but I get pretty woozy if I don't! Not looking forward to night shifts, normally I can't eat much on them.

StripeyFox I worked nights during my last pregnancy, it was a killer. My manager moved me onto days once I told her, but I still struggled not to fall asleep while doing paperwork! Moving my rota around so I didn't have more than two long days together at a time helped a lot.
