Please stop talking about weight gain.Today I have taken, a caramel Machiato from Starbucks, (grande), a pain au chocolate,(as a tribute to FSF) 3 satsumas and an apple, some mango, a chicken sandwich and a slice of madeira cake.It is only three o clock.(lwatkins I hate you...)

And I nearly bought a phil and teds but practised restraint.DH would go completely mental.
Off home now as we have an estate agent coming round cest soir to value the house and it looks like a bomb has hit it.Tiredness from last night really kicking in now, ugh hoovering...
Pebble-do go to the midwife tomorrow-even if just to set your mind at rest...
SOH-have a copy of Loot at the ready-was looking to see if any buggies-just say the word!Whats this I see in it?Birthing pool only used once-£50 ono..I hope it has been thoroughly cleaned..

Laughing at myself here. DH looked in the "goodies" drawer in the kichen last night to check for contraband Twicks. It was (alas) empty and he said, "what about those M&S bikkies you had in there?"

Much to my chagrin, I had to admit to leaping off the sofa when I saw him come in the front gate so I could gather the empty bikkie packet and last two Twick wrappers and hide them in the bin under an orange juice carton.

Even he had to laugh.

Afternoon all, I will be having a nosey at those profiles when I have managed to catch up on here, I have read all of last weeks posts, it took me most of last night! Please forgive me for not replying.
It was my birthday on Sunday so we had a weekend away with some friends at Center Parcs, it was brill, I had a pregnancy spa treatment which consisted of a leg massage, bump cleanse/mask/moisturise and mini facial I would definitely recommend it. I was so chilled BOTH babies were asleep through most of it.
The only down side was the friend we had gone with had her 12 week scan last Thursday and there was no heart beat so it kind of put the downer on things, I think being away helped them get over the worst though, she has to have D&C tomorrow. I just felt so sad for them both, they both really wanted this baby. It makes you appreciate how lucky you are end wonder how it goes right as often as it does.
Thanks to you lot I have just had to have a Twix, obviously both sticks as have two babies to feed, he he. Anyway hope you are all feeling well and looking after yourselves.

CT Australian BBQ sound great,

CT and SOH I think it is lovely your DH s reading to your bumps

SM I used to work in an old peoples home for a while and didn't really want to but really enjoyed it in the end.

SM and SOH my Gran lives in Holymoorside on New Road, she was born and bred there and loads of my Dads family still live there. Small world or what?

DJ well done on the sickness front my bump has just started to give me heartburn which is nice.

LW think you should combine LGTs food colouring with a really strong laxative as well to add to the fun.

LGT have a lovely break you sound like it is already doing you good. It will be lovely to see all the family again and DH will be a bonus. CM sings "we know what you'll be doing, we know what you'll be doing" hopefully anyway runs and hides quick before LGT throws something at her. Missing you already.

SKYTV not sure about Hot X buns with salmon filling must be a pregnancy thing.

AM hope you all feel better soon, its crap isn't it when you feel rough on your birthday.

TYG ooh a wedding in Ireland sounds lovely, don't forget Guinness is good for you. Hmmmmmm. Your mum sounds just like mine she is the one person who thinks it is perfectly acceptable to be bloody rude about my size/shape/ability to cope/Dh etc etc etc. Most of the time it is harmless but something more supportive would be appreciated.

LBL keep your chin up I'm sure everything will be fine re DH workwise and bump, especially as baby is such a wriggly bum.

JLT know what you mean about January being tight I try to make sure it doesn't spoil my birthday so try to get away and it gets rid of those post Christmas blues when you have something to look forward to , just have top budget well in advance.

SOH it will all work out in the end, your vendor is a numpty. Get scanning around and you will find something lovely I'm sure, its just frustrating when you have shelled out money. I would still go for your homebirth if you can face it in rented property (I managed in the downstairs loo) I think your instinct is to huddle somewhere, I had the dining room ready with chair and cushions and all the stuff and wanted to sit on the loo in the smallest room in the house with the heating off! MW made DH turn it on after DD arrived as she was number one priority then and needed to keep warm. Hopefully your legs will still be working so you could p'raps manage to get up/down the drive (assuming you do not have five mile drive on the way to your mansion)

FSF my Mum has to ship bacon out when she goes over to France I can order you some for when she next comes over if it is any use, she has a cottage somewhere in Brittany - not far from Le Man I think

NSL LOL at your pregnant woman strop; whilst away at the weekend I laid into some fairly harmless young lads who were throwing balls in the ball pool. Normally I would have just moved out the way but I let rip. It was funny though as after I had gone out DD was in there with her older cousin and saw some n=more boys throwing and shouted "STOP - naughty boys! NO throwing, dangerous!" DDs cousin thought it was hilarious and said loads of Mums looked round to see who was having a pop and realised it was a 2 year old that was the only one with the bottle to stand up to lads throwing balls. That's my girl.

Pink my but and thighs are growing quite nicely as well, I have a pair of H&M trousers that have started to cut into my bump as well - not comfy.

Welcome Susan to the chaos which is antenatal due in May.

PM hope you feel better soon and the dizziness wears off, glad DS is getting seen so quickly, I can't believe grandparents are being so pants.

JW great news on the diabetes front

MV glad awful things happened to the house you didn't buy serves them right, your diet sounds a mare but it must be better than the bad back.

Lwatkins · 30/01/2007 15:21

Lol scooter, I shouldn't be so smug.....will probs wake up tommorrow and sods law my arse will have turned into the size of a bus as the result of eating so much junk food and thinking I can get away with it!

Lwatkins · 30/01/2007 15:28

CM so sorry to hear about your friends pregnancy, how awful for them Really makes you think doesn't it, oooo suddenly feeling very sentimental and stroking bump!

cinnamontam · 30/01/2007 15:43

Hey Charleymouse - you did so well responding to all the posts. Happy Birthday for Sunday. Love the laxative idea.

LWatkins you could have some serious fun with this

The spa sounds divine but I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I can't imagine how she must be feeling.

I bought some soft black maternity PJ's from Next (online) for £14. They are sooooo comfortable. Otherwise I am in stretchy maternity jeans otherwise Bean kicks 4 kinds of hell out of me for cutting off her dance moves with something as cruel as a waistband

notsolilKel · 30/01/2007 16:39

... I think I'm slowly losing touch with this thread despite my efforts to stay connected ... I didn't even get mention from Charleymouse ...

cinnamontam · 30/01/2007 16:53

Noooooo - don't say that notsolilKel

BTW - very cute pic of your family

cinnamontam · 30/01/2007 17:01

Ok - I've finally done my profile and added a few pics

MKG · 30/01/2007 17:16

Howdy all!!

I'm doing great today and I hope everyone else is too!

I hope everyone is feeling great. I have a lot to do in the next week, but I'm happy to be busy.

I went shopping with dh yesterday, and he couldn't believe that I peed about 5 times in a one hour time span (I drink a lot of water). I hate having to pee all the time.

Take care everyone!

Lwatkins · 30/01/2007 17:23

Oh cinnamontam how adorable are your cats lol! You and your dh look lovely as well

Lwatkins · 30/01/2007 17:24

Your dh actually looks like one of my old lecturures (sp) at college whilst i was studying media. Very freaky!

twelveyeargap · 30/01/2007 17:33

Ooh, yay! More photos. Very exciting.

notsolilKel · 30/01/2007 17:36

aww thanks for the acknowledgment Cinnomontam. Sometimes I just think my messages get lost on this thread! Your cats are sooo cute. I used to have one - big orange tabby named Gizmo - alas he is no longer with us, but even my Dad (who hates cats) was a self-professed Gizmo-lover.

notsolilKel · 30/01/2007 17:49

ok thanks TYG , just feeling a bit out of sorts today I guess. In need of virtual hugs. God I hate hormones...grrr

cinnamontam · 30/01/2007 17:50

Hey LWatkins

Favourite line from Black Books?

Mine - Which one of you bitches wants to dance?

cinnamontam · 30/01/2007 17:52

notsolilKel - i hate the hormones. I never realise till after that my rant (normally aimed at DH) was hormone driven.

notsolilKel · 30/01/2007 18:16

what's this Black Books on TV? Something worth watching on telly, really?!? Does it involve nuns? (said suspiciously)

cinnamontam · 30/01/2007 18:27

Oh it's brilliant. Not on TV at the mo - from a few years ago but definitely worth getting out from the video shop.

Not much on the telly worth getting excited about at the moment. It's all a bit blah

Lwatkins · 30/01/2007 18:34

Black books was a tv programme on tv a while ago, very dark, sarcastic and funny! Starring Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey and Tamsin Greig. Basically about a guy who owns his own bookshop, and two of his mates. All alcholics constantly puffing on a fag types, hating the world and everything in it! I didn't ever watch it on tv cause thought it looked crap, then a friend bought me the dvd's and it's my fav thing to watch! No nuns involved lol
Cinnamontam that line had me doubled over when i first saw it! Trying to think of my fav, it's hard cause there's so many funny ones! Will have to watch some more now to see......excuses excuses

notsolilKel · 30/01/2007 18:48

sounds cool - will have to keep an eye out for the DVD. While I'm thinking about it, anyone know if Hotel Babylon will come back soon? DH and I used to savor it...

cinnamontam · 30/01/2007 18:55

I haven't even heard of that one. Did you get into Green Wing. DH and I watched it religiously

Lwatkins · 30/01/2007 18:57

Not sure about hotel babylon, but black books can be picked up really cheaply, usually about £5 per series - 3 series. Am determined to turn everyone into a black books addict, it's so good
Grrrr, am getting hassled by the tv licensing people. Have recieved ANOTHER letter, this time it's an OFFICIAL WARNING in big red letters. Why should i spend my time and money writing these people a letter to tell them i don't own a tv! If they were to send out a form with a tick box for 'don't own a tv, please f**c off' and also put in an envelope with free posting i'd do it, but they don't so why should i?! Makes me very
