Thanks carolann I absolutely love excel and working out how to use formulas, I have them for budgeting, time management, house repairs, then have a whole christmas one that deserves a thread of its own....

terrible diet update: extremely upset stomach. This baby doesn't seem to like chocolate cake* for some reason, which is unfortunate because I love it!!

*Baby would possibly tolerate one piece, not 2 pieces AND all the other crap.

Carolann8584 · 22/07/2016 15:59

I don't think my little beany likes Milky things, don't like tea anymore, normally love cereal but couldn't finish as too much milk left over at the end and the last thing I ate at lunch was a yoghurt then waved goodbye to the whole lot on the porcelain express Sad I love drinking milk but don't think I will for a while.

greentreeseverywhere · 22/07/2016 16:01

Luckily so far I'm still able to eat everything without feeling ill! Although a certain type of squash dh drinks the smells makes me del bit sicky! ! Im Constantly hot thou!
Has anyone had an early scan around 8 weeks?

WhereDoAllThePokemonGo · 22/07/2016 16:47

I didn't make the list Blush

neonrainbow · 22/07/2016 16:49

I haven't had tea in days but all i want for breakfast is cereal with plenty of icy cold milk. I've been addicted to ready salted crisps and have had quite a lot of babybel and crunchy apples. So kind of a balanced diet 😃

Two colleagues have figured it out as before i was religiously having two cups of tea a day and now im snacking all the time and i never used to.

VeraVioletVinn · 22/07/2016 16:56

Excellent work with the new list FXSkip - I work with statistics in my job and can appreciate the joy of data management Grin. So satisfying when a bit of code does what you wanted.

I've had quite a good day nausea-wise - even managed a whole cup of tea this morning! I cycle to work and although the thought of it isn't very appealing, once I get going the bit of exercise does actually seem to help calm everything down and settle my stomach.

Does anybody have any exciting plans for the weekend? My DH is working, so I'll have 5-year-old DS to entertain - hoping the paddling pool in the garden will keep him amused for a while so I don't have to do too much rushing about! Trying to enjoy our one-on-one time for as long as possible - actually dreading a bit how he is going to react to the prospect of a new baby. Probably this Shock Confused then this Angry and hopefully eventually this Smile Grin. No point worrying about it yet though I guess!

Gardencentregroupie · 22/07/2016 17:02

I've had to take today off work sick - I feel hideous, and I'm so dizzy and lightheaded and spaced out I didn't think I could safely do the 40 mile motorway drive. Luckily I'm somewhat non-essential at the moment. I'm on a night shift tomorrow and I tried to get it off last week and couldn't, so I need to go in to work no matter how I feel!

Food wise I'm still eating much the same as always.

ItsMagicYouKnow · 22/07/2016 17:37

Vera Good work with the smileys, I think DS will be Smile and then forget all about it as he's only two! Initial hypothetical probing has revealed he'd quite like a brother/sister, so I'm quite confident about it, although I know it won't always be easy for him when it does happen. A second pregnancy really does open up a whole new can of worms, doesn't it?

Thanks as always Skip for the list!

Eating some ginger snaps I unearthed from the cupboard. Don't know where I can get more when they're finished though! Why do my cravings have to be UK-based??

ahsan · 22/07/2016 17:39

Anyone getting fatter yet as I feel like I'm gaining weight from being tired all the time.

NameChange30 · 22/07/2016 17:43

ahsan Yes I am definitely getting fatter. I've been so tired I've done barely any exercise. I'm feeling hungry and trying not to eat too much but probably eating a bit more than I used to. I think I've put on weight on my stomach which is making me paranoid about looking pregnant much earlier than I should! Think I need to get a few more loose tops and dresses Confused I guess it will be a good investment for when I start getting a proper bump!

gininteacupsandleavesonthelawn · 22/07/2016 17:43

Bought some ritz crackers and some dry cereal bars to test out the eating before getting out of bed theory tomorrow. Hoping it works as we have guests on Saturday night so I'm not looking forward to spewing with an audience on Sunday! DP out golfing tomorrow- I'm meeting a friend with DD for lunch, swapping some of her school bits and wandering round shops hopefully. Then on Sunday planning BFG at cinema.

NameChange30 · 22/07/2016 17:43

PS I realise that light exercise does help with the tiredness, I just haven't had time to exercise during the day and I've felt too tired in the evenings.. Must make time to exercise in the daytime!

PrincessIrene · 22/07/2016 17:51

I am a whale Grin

charlybs · 22/07/2016 18:19

I look so pregnant already. And it's all bloating haha Confused

In exciting news I just got my booking in appointment - 15th August!

Cantstringawordtogether · 22/07/2016 18:22

I've a big old bloated belly too!!

greentrees I had a scan this week at just 8 weeks, first time having such an early one so was blown away by what I could see!

ahsan · 22/07/2016 18:32

Same got a bloated tummy too. Look pregnant too.Feel like crying lol as I'm turning into a whale lol. Do light walking and stuff but think I'll be a massive ballon by the time I give birth lol. I'll lose it again anyway :)

Gardencentregroupie · 22/07/2016 18:45

greentrees I have a private scan booked for 8+6. With DD I paid for scans at 6 ish and 9ish weeks; at 6ish weeks she was like a little grain of rice with a flicker of light for a heartbeat, by 9ish weeks she was a little baked bean with stumps for arms and legs.

Her limb stumps were waving madly, the sonographer (a consultant obstetrician doing private clinics) asked what I'd eaten as the foetus was so active. It turns out that it was her personality manifesting itself even at 9 weeks gestation - she's crazy active, hasn't stopped since!

alphabook · 22/07/2016 19:06

Congrats to the newbies!

Sorry to hear you're still in hospital Can't, hope they manage to get it sorted soon.

abbinobb · 22/07/2016 19:56

The only thing I found that helped with morning sickness with ds (not that i knew thats what it was!) was sour sweets, i think cause they don't taste like actual food, if you get what i mean? and ice lollies in this weather!

Quick question, does anything know when/how you're supposed to make your booking appointment? Do you have to see your gp or do you just phone to make an appointment with the midwife? with DS i didn't know until 15 weeks Blush , so it was all a bit different- GP, scan the same day, midwife booking thing the next day, but obviously that's not the usual way

SuperDuperJezebel · 22/07/2016 20:18

For me Abbinobb I saw the GP who referred me to the midwives and I got a booking in and scan letter through for the hospital when I'm 12+3.

Spent the afternoon at the walk in clinic, my throat is absolutely killing me, been short of breath and tightness in my chest, plus absolutely no energy. Was worried it was a chest infection but fortunately just a nasty viral throat infection. Apparently it's going around. They offered me ABs but I don't think they work for viruses so I figured there was not much point.

charlybs · 22/07/2016 20:18

I was supposed to go through the GP but as I'm away when I should have my scan I rang the hospital and asked to be put through to the maternity ward. They then popped me on the system last week and I got the letter through today about the appt.

I think it varies depending on where you live, but if in doubt GP sounds like a good shout.

charlybs · 22/07/2016 20:19

Also this is my first baby so by no means an expert - just going off what others have said here and my experience so far

Carolann8584 · 22/07/2016 20:49

abbinobb I went to my doctors when I got my bfp. Was told I don't see my GP, gave me my 8 week appointment with the Midwife 17th Aug. Think thats late though xx

neonrainbow · 22/07/2016 21:14

I still haven't heard from the midwife about my second half of the booking in appointment. She was supposed to contact me towards the end of this week and not a dicky bird. I'm also feeling very fat my mum and sister said that I looked pregnant yesterday although hopefully it was just the dress that I was wearing. I shouldn't be looking pregnant at 8 weeks!!

SuperDuperJezebel · 22/07/2016 21:15

I got asked if I was 4-5 months pregnant last week... Nope, just fat!
