Oooh! Can I join too?

BFP This morning, I'm waiting to tell fiancé until Tuesday which is our wedding day! (I have no idea how I'm going to keep this to myself for 5 whole days)

Name:hulahula
DC#1
Age: 23
EDD: 23rd March (ish)
Birmingham

ElsaMars · 21/07/2016 16:49

How on earth are you going to do that Hula? Congratulations though and it will be a lovely gift to him on the day

hulahula10 · 21/07/2016 17:19

I have no idea, honestly.

I'd really been struggling to find him a nice sentimental gift for our wedding day, and I think this is quite fitting if I'm honest.

I just know he'll be over the moon, he was so distraught after our m/c in November. hurry up Tuesday!!

butterfliesandzebras · 21/07/2016 17:26

Congrats abbinobb and hulahula :)

FXSkip · 21/07/2016 17:31

congrats all the latest bfps! I've added you to the ever-growing date list and will repost soon... hula that is going to be an intense experience! Hopefully you get some relief out of telling us (I don't seem to be able to control myself and have told almost everyone!) so feel free to tell us as many times as you need!!

WhereDoAllThePokemonGo · 21/07/2016 17:44

BirdingWidow · 21/07/2016 18:06

Hi all! Bfp today and just on my way home from work to tell DH! Taken a very long time to get pg so I am happy but not quite ready to believe it... I dare not get too excited just yet. EDD around 23rd. This will be DC 2 and I am a bit older than all most of you... And I live very close to alpha!

Contemplating sacking off Slimming World tonight Smile

alphabook · 21/07/2016 18:26

Congrats to the new BFPs!

Glad your bleeding has stopped Elsa.

Have a great holiday Purple!

What a lovely wedding present hula! I don't think I'd be able to wait 5 days though!

Congrats to the newbies and to alpha for your happy scan news!

I've got my fingers crossed for those of you with bleeding and other worries. Who's in hospital with the suspected clot (sorry I forgot your name) - how are you??

Rosey Thanks for the book recommendation, sounds good Smile

Happy Thanks for the tips! I'm not feeling too anxious and will definitely be reassured if I can see a consultant. I will ask the midwife about MH support if I feel I need it, but I am reluctant to do so at this stage in case they assume it's all my head!

I'm having a(nother) pregnancy related dilemma today. Been feeling exhausted and could do with a very gentle weekend. But I have plans to see a few of my best friends in London. I don't see them very often and I had been really looking forward it - especially telling them I'm pregnant. But I'm worried that travelling to London will be too exhausting given my current state (it's not that far but still a faff) and that I'll be too tired to really enjoy seeing them. If I cancel I will have to tell them about the pregnancy because I don't want them to think I'm just being flaky. But I wanted to tell them in person Sad

PrincessIrene · 21/07/2016 19:28

Fantastic news alpha Flowers and everything crossed for you, elsa

I haven't told a soul except DH. Not sure I can/will!

charlybs · 21/07/2016 20:26

Namechange personally I would go - you can always factor in more sitting down time than usual. I'm going from Fareham into London for work a few times a week (3 hrs each way total) and as long as I get home at a reasonable time I'm managing it xx

ElsaMars · 21/07/2016 20:52

Hello NBFPs Grin

Oh God. I've just bought a breast pump on Ebay, got carried away. I may have also purchased 2 grobags Blush

Dislike tempting fate but I love a good bargain, DH is going to kill me - and this is DC2!

Has anyone else done this? Please tell me you have!

neonrainbow · 21/07/2016 20:53

Name change i would go but if you need to leave earlier than planned then don't feel bad. Dh wants to take dss to the very hilly local zoo on sunday. Not sure i can manage it but im going to have to try i think. Feeling very "full" in the lower abdomen today.

DaisyBank82 · 21/07/2016 21:09

Elsa, I might Have bought a very lovely baby blanket online yesterday... It hasn't arrived yet. if the worst happpens I can give it to a friend. Everyone seems to be pregnant at the mo.

charlybs · 21/07/2016 21:15

Elsa I bought some maternity clothes in a sale, as I figured the next sale wouldn't be til January!

NameChange30 · 21/07/2016 21:15

charly and neon the original plan involved dinner, then staying overnight and seeing another friend for brunch... she also wants to go shopping afterwards! I think I could do dinner or brunch but not both, and I don't want to choose between friends Confused

charlybs · 21/07/2016 21:43

Namechange it is totally up to you and how you feel. I honestly feel like I don't have much choice so get on with it. My job is fairly intense - on Monday I'm having to drive to Keele and deliver a 3 day course there then drive back. Will get back late Thursday... It'll be character building! Hmm lol

ItsMagicYouKnow · 21/07/2016 21:44

High five Alpha, that's fantastic news!

Congrats to all the newbies too!

Have had a quick read of all your news, I take one day off... Wink

Off to bed soon, have never been more tired. I'm now only eating beige food after 9 p.m. (crisps and cold pasta anyone?). Thought I'd got away with it but it hit at 6+2... Anyone else feel starving but unable to swallow anything?

Also v. emotional this evening re: having #2 when I already have a wonderful DS Confused

Hope everyone's well-ish otherwise, sorry if I missed any big news. Will do better tomorrow!

ItsMagicYouKnow · 21/07/2016 21:46

Oh and Namechange, no advice I'm afraid, but I know how you feel. I'm feeling very daunted by trips and days out at the moment...

DaisyBank82 · 22/07/2016 05:16

Up with the larks to get to the airport for a holiday today. My DH smells revolting to me since yesterday. I know he has showered today but he has this strong potent man smell which I want to be far, far away from. Poor DH, I'm pretty sure it's me, not him!

purplesmiler · 22/07/2016 05:57

Have a fun time daisy I'm on hols at the moment and enjoying the break.

SuperDuperJezebel · 22/07/2016 07:54

Have fun Daisy... I had the same problem recently but it was myself! I was convinced I stunk of BO. Husband and friends insisting I did it but I could SMELL IT!

charlybs · 22/07/2016 09:32

I think I have super smell too! With the windows of our house open, I can smell when the neighbour from 3 doors down goes out to smoke. DH thinks I'm bonkers! (I can also smell DH's feet but I keep schtum for his pride haha)

SuperDuperJezebel · 22/07/2016 09:48

Yes! I kept complaining about sitting near smokers when we were on holiday and DH kept pointing out they were miles away and he couldn't smell it. Still grim tho!

gininteacupsandleavesonthelawn · 22/07/2016 09:52

So sick 😷 How are people coping with sickness and work? I'm lucky in that I can work from home when needed but not always, I'm already dreading next week when I need to travel to London for work. Feeling very sorry for myself.
