Flowers for Elsa

Thinking of you xx

Congrats on the scan rbucz!

Carolann8584 · 09/08/2016 10:25

Lovely scan Dusty

Trying a new tactic today to deal with nausea, I seem to feel worse around this time everyday, hit a really low yesterday and don't want to keep doing the same thing, today I've brought a picnic to work with me, woke up feeling Blah had toast felt a bit better, got to work felt Blah had cereal felt bit better. Now I've hit the same wall as yesterday so bring on the food!! I have ham on Hovis thins. Lets see if it works and I feel a little better after.

I also have a Banana, an Apple, Pitta sticks and beans with Sausage, and some Haribo Smile left in my picnic bag.

I've decided if I'm going to feel nauseous regardless of what I eat - BRING ON THE FOOD.

Hugs for everyone having a Blah day xx

wornoutboots · 09/08/2016 10:35

I'm nauseous except when I'm eating.

bring on the food here too!

Cantstringawordtogether · 09/08/2016 10:36

Elsa, thinking of you today x

neonrainbow · 09/08/2016 10:45

I've got everything crossed for you elsa Flowers

ItsMagicYouKnow · 09/08/2016 10:47

Hi everyone!

Flowers for Elsa. Fx for good news. Have you any Rescue Remedy, camomile tea, that sort of thing? Otherwise, lots of deep breaths and at least you'll be out of the other side of the tunnel soon, for better or for worse. Has to be better than not knowing? But I have everything crossed for you.

I managed to partially make and fully eat a bowl of risotto last night without a second thought. I am also walking around normally (as opposed to dragging myself from bed to sofa). I also didn't collapse into bed last night, and it was quite late! Cue dreams of scans and MCs and wishing my appointment was today rather than tomorrow Confused. I've had to come and work from my bed though this morning, so the tiredness is still there. I suppose symptoms can come and go although if they could stay away for good and there be a healthy baby in there that would be nice

Carolann good plan re: the picnic. I've always found throwing food at the nausea to be the most effective way of dealing with it, although you probably won't be able to look at another jacket potato for a long time once you start feeling better!

Dusty pop those pills! It really is a different kettle of fish second time round!

Congrats rbucz!

Carolann8584 · 09/08/2016 10:55

Sorry rbucz lovely scan, saw Dusty underneath and thought it was hers Smile

Carolann8584 · 09/08/2016 11:32

NO Jackets pots from now on, had enough in the past few weeks to last a life time! still feeling nauseous but a least I'm eating food Smile still having dizzy spells but just trying not to move to quickly lol

I'm 9+4 today and just noticed my nipples appear to be leaking a little. Is that normal? Seems very early!

SecretScaryFriend · 09/08/2016 12:25

ginintea can happen that early, although not so common. Is it clear/yellowish? Could be colostrum getting started. The body is amazing!

Good luck to those having scans soon. Flowers

I've got a two week wait for mine, just when I thought I was done with the 2ww!!

Cantstringawordtogether · 09/08/2016 12:29

Rbucz lovely little bean there!

Gin I've had leakage already too, had it early on number 2 as well but not on the others I don't think!

Well I had my "12 week" scan this morning and baby is flying it, everything looking good although she has moved my dates so I am no longer due a March baby!! Edd is now 23rd February, but I'll stick around here if that's ok!!!

wornoutboots · 09/08/2016 12:46

yes, normal for boobs to leak in pregnancy.

Mine are still in use breastfeeding the 1 year old though

Carolann8584 · 09/08/2016 12:49

So far so good on today, nausea is manageable after eating half my picnic I had energy to do a 30 min walk on my lunch! Bit dopey now I'm back at my desk but it was quite warm out Shock

X

gininteacupsandleavesonthelawn · 09/08/2016 13:01

Yep clear and creamy yellow, just didn't expect it so soon. My 12w scan isn't until the 30th seems ages away! Got booking apt on Friday though

ElsaMars · 09/08/2016 14:36

Afternoon everyone,

according to the scan there's been progression. There is no fetal pole still but there is now a yolk sac. However my dates suggest I'm 8 weeks on Thurs and they can't be wrong as I know we last had sex in the first few days of July and that was definitely last time.

I feel none the wiser and have another scan next week - which is the day of my MW booking in appt - what the heck shall I do there? Cancel it, just in case?

It's also my birthday the day after. I'm a bit Confused and have no idea what to do for the next agonisingly slow week.

Flowers for all of you for listening to me harp on.

neonrainbow · 09/08/2016 14:38

I had a dream last night where my twins were here and i was trying to breastfeed but managed to latch one onto my ear. Definitely the weirdest dream ive had yet. I know nothing breastfeeding but i know it doesnt work like that!

On the plus side the babies were very cute 😃

SuperDuperJezebel · 09/08/2016 15:43

Elsa, so sorry you didn't get a conclusive answer. I'd keep your midwife appointment, I'm sure she will have some good advice and suggestions on how to proceed. Will be thinking of you and crossing my fingers for you.

ItsMagicYouKnow · 09/08/2016 15:47

Elsa I take back what I said about you coming out of the tunnel, that sounds very confusing Confused Did the HCP have any explanation re: your dates?

Might be worth posting in the Pregnancy forum to see if anyone there has been in a similar situation. I'm sure I've read a thread like that, although I can't remember the outcome I'm afraid. I honestly think it could go either way. Sorry to hear you're back in no-man's land Sad and fx it will all turn out OK for you.

ItsMagicYouKnow · 09/08/2016 15:49

Oh, and I agree with Super about keeping your MW appointment.

ElsaMars · 09/08/2016 16:01

I said to the sonographer 'so is it possible that it would look like this when I'm almost 8 weeks?' And she said 'well you're obviously not that far along'. She was nice but I'm so bloody confused.

DH is now saying we had sex the second week in July but he didn't erm 'finish' inside me, I thought we just did other stuff (bit drunk) I'm not sure but I don't think that makes much difference.

Seeing just a yolk sac in a scan would be around 4 weeks maybe? That's just impossible.

Mu brain is scrambled.

Re seeing the MW later that day. My only concern was having to cancel it with no notice if it's bad news

NameChange30 · 09/08/2016 16:08

Elsa Sorry you're still in limbo, love. I think it is possible to get pregnant through PIV sex even if the man doesn't ejaculate - there is still some sperm in his "pre-come" (don't know the technical term, sorry Grin) Maybe that's a possibility? It would explain why you're not as far along as you think, although it wouldn't explain the missed period.

neonrainbow · 09/08/2016 16:35

Sorry you haven't had a conclusive answer elsa. Id keep the appointments if i were you. They're not saying the baby isn't there next week they might be able to tell you more.

ItsMagicYouKnow · 09/08/2016 16:42

Elsa I think a yolk sac would be expected to be seen at around 5 weeks, but the foetal pole is more variable.

Did the sonographer put an actual date on your pregnancy as it stands? Or is it just guesswork before the foetal pole appears? Did she say whether the progression from last time was consistent?

I think there are so many possibilities, seeing as (a) you aren't 100% on conception dates and (b) apparently the foetal pole can appear later on. I'm afraid only time will tell. If the sonographer didn't seem concerned about slow progression from the last scan, that's a positive.

I think it'd be completely reasonable to cancel a MW appointment if you had bad news on the same day. They might want to see you anyway.

NameChange30 · 09/08/2016 16:52

Is anyone else feeling exhausted but still managing to do exercise?

I haven't been doing any because I just can't face it. But I'm missing it and feeling guilty. Sad
