NameChange I use the nursing bras as I'm still breastfeeding but look at Simply Be, they have loads of sizes, this one is a 2 pack of non underwired bras for £13 and goes up to a 42G.

Happygojo86 · 29/07/2016 10:22

How are the other breastfeeding mummies doing? I think I'm going to stop very soon as I think my milk is drying up or DD is upset by a change in taste or something. I didn't want to stop before knowing if the pregnancy is viable but I'm too tired to deal with DD screaming and the feeding aversion. So I'm putting her on cows milk 2 weeks early. She's on the 75th centile anyway so not worried about her wasting away! Grin

Hi Everyone, congratulations on the BFP's Flowers

Wilson2213
EDD: 24th march 2017
Not sure what DC means, but this will be my first child.

Hope you're all well. We have been TTC for 2 years so on pins at the moment. Every twinge is sending me into panic mode. Must.Try.To.Relax!

Lozza92 · 29/07/2016 10:48

Just had my booking app this morning with a lovely midwife, it's all seeming more real now, but trying not to let myself get too excited until the dating scan Smile

PeanutButter82 · 29/07/2016 11:05

Hello
Hope everyone is feeling OK today and not so symptomy that they can't function but just symptomy enough that they don't panic about still being pregnant (as I am a bit). I also hope those with spotting/bleeding have some good news - I have been there before and I know it's terrifying.

I had a private scan yesterday and it showed that I'm only 6 weeks pregnant, not the 8 weeks +5 that I thought. I'm trying not to freak out and worry that the baby just stopped developing a few weeks ago but instead to focus on the fact that I have a very long and sometimes irregular cycle so it is possible that I conceived much later in the month that I thought. There was a sac with a baby in it, at the right size for 6 weeks pregnancy, but no heartbeat visible yet (which is not unexpected for that stage). I'm going to have another scan in 2 weeks so have 2 weeks of agony hoping that everything is OK in there. I'm trying not to worry that I haven't really felt any nausea yet today as it has only been mild so far anyway, but would quite like something like that to give me some reassurance! I guess this is all a way of preparing me for the constant worry of actually having a child!
Hope you all have a good day and some lovely plans for the weekend!

Carolann8584 · 29/07/2016 11:22

HmrTron · 29/07/2016 11:23

Good luck Cho and louise hope the tests and scans go well. Peanut I hope lots of nice 'me time' activities help pass the time and relax you a bit.

I've not had any sickness these last few days either which is worrying me - but one boob is still sore so holding onto that!

NameChange30 · 29/07/2016 11:24

Carol Sad can you take a long lunch break?

PeanutButter82 · 29/07/2016 11:39

Oh Carol that sounds horrible! I hope you can have a long lunch break too!

Gardencentregroupie · 29/07/2016 11:40

happygojo I'm not enjoying breastfeeding, and my 2 year old has gone on a nursing frenzy day and night recently. It hurts! So I'm going to start with night weaning next week (after some guests have left) then once that's sorted start cutting down with a view to stopping completely by the end of September hopefully.

PeanutButter82 · 29/07/2016 11:43

Thank you HmrTron , I am going to treat myself to some new books I think, in the hopes of passing the time quickly Smile

Carolann8584 · 29/07/2016 11:48

Thanks Ladies

Going on lunch soon, Work don't know I'm expecting so trying to act "normal"

Had 5 minutes time out in the ladies, just counting down til 12 now then might have a nap in my car Smile

5tardusty · 29/07/2016 11:50

Got an appointment with GP on monday morning and will request an early scan, i'm 6w tomorrow. I simply do not believe in this baby at all. I have hardly any symptoms, other than needing to pee all the time, but i can get no reassurance from that as it could just be an empty sac. Miscarriages really do suck the joy out of pregnancy; i was so positive last time Sad

I'll take another digi on monday, which should hopefully give me the 3+ weeks indicator, but then it did that last time too, and the baby had stopped.

This week as been hard as i only got to 5w last time, but didnt get any spotting until 9

user1468241742 · 29/07/2016 11:55

Hello, hope it's OK if I join - got my BFP on Monday and we have worked out I'm between 5-6 weeks. Got my appointment with the GP on Thursday! Have been so sick this week, which I thought was a little early to get morning sickness but apparently not! No one knows yet except my partner, so would be good to have you guys to talk to!

bumblebeekaty · 29/07/2016 12:30

Hi all,

31 from Gloucestershire
Due date: 1st March
Scan date: 19th August
First baby and first time on Mumsnet too!

Over 9 weeks now and looking forward to my scan in 3 weeks time. So far just extreme tiredness, a bit of nausea and feeling fat - think that's more to do with carbs and lack of exercise though!

MrsMushrooms · 29/07/2016 12:33

Hi all! I find these threads so difficult to keep up with - is there a FB group yet?

wornoutboots · 29/07/2016 12:35

gardencentregroupie
it's possible that pregnancy alters the taste and quantity we can supply from breast feeding.

My nearly 16-month-old has gone on a feeding frenzy lately too, and while it's possible to feed them all through and tandem feed after i'm looking to stop after I have a successful 12 week scan for the current womb-inhabitant. it'd be nice to have a couple of months off from the BF!

Cantstringawordtogether · 29/07/2016 12:48

Cho good luck with scan today

Louise hope you're doing ok

Peanut it will be a long 2 weeks for you, hope we can help keep you going here

I'm very nauseated the last few days and so tired, but keep waking up way too early like before 6 and then can't get back to sleep!

SecretScaryFriend · 29/07/2016 12:48

My 2 year old has told me that my boobs are dry! She still has a go but I don't think there is much, if any, there. She still feeds to sleep for naps when at home and bed, so I'm guessing we are going to have a transition from that Confused . She rarely feed at other times, unless injured or scared.
I don't particularly want to tandem, although I can see some advantages of having some quiet time when they are both feeding. I'm hoping that this will be a relatively gentle transition for her.

neonrainbow · 29/07/2016 12:49

Shit ... i was waiting for my midwife appointment this morning and i just started bleeding for no reason... bright red. Fuck. Sad scan on monday.

Cantstringawordtogether · 29/07/2016 13:16

Oh no neon, that's scary, fingers crossed it stops and all is well xxx

Carolann8584 · 29/07/2016 13:27

Fingers crossed for those with bleeds etc, hope all sorts its self out and beans stick around xxx Flowers

ItsMagicYouKnow · 29/07/2016 14:44

Cinnamon and Skip, if you're still reading, I'm so sorry this has happened to you. Take care of yourselves, hope your dreams come true soon, will miss you on this thread.

Just catching up after a week's holiday. Would have enjoyed it had I not felt so crap, but I don't think it spoilt things for DS so that's the main thing. 7+3 today and completely hit-by-a-truck exhausted from dawn till dusk, with nausea set off by: eating, not eating, smells (any), thinking about food, pictures of food etc. No surprise as I felt exactly the same last time (I should be glad it's no worse really). Now I remember I practically lived in bed from about 6 to 13 weeks last time, so I'm trying not to feel too guilty about the little I can muster up the energy to do at the moment.

Hello all newcomers and congrats! No bra advice except I gave up underwire while pregnant with DS and have never gone back. My boobs don't seem to ever get the message though, except perhaps when full-time bfing. My bloating has gone too, which I think is quite common at this stage.

Got an obs-gyn app on 10 August, as I'll be 9 weeks I expect she'll do a dating scan.

Sitting in bed eating cookies taking some cheeky time out. Must get up and do something productive... Wink

ItsMagicYouKnow · 29/07/2016 14:45

And Fx for Cho and neon and anyone else having a tough time of it that I might have missed.
