oh no. fail.

SecretScaryFriend · 28/07/2016 13:39

Booking in appointment done.
She whizzed through it so it was done in 45 minutes. Now to send off my exemption form, waiting for my scan letter and I won't see a midwife again until the last week of September! Now I have moved it is all different and I see the SAME MIDWIFE every time. This is huge. I never saw the same one twice with DD!
They are so super chilled about 2nd babies!!

Some reminders from my midwife:
Don't forget your vitamins
Don't forget to fill in your exemption form for prescriptions and dental.
Start your pelvic floor exercises in earnest.
One, two, three, squeeeeeze!

Gardencentregroupie · 28/07/2016 13:46

Oooh secret I squeezed reading that :)

I phoned the midwife team today as the GP sent off my referral two weeks ago and I'd not heard anything. They've got it, don't know when I'll be booking in but my 12 week scan is set for 31st August at 3.20pm, that's going to be a looong day. I have a private scan booked for a week on Saturday, the time is dragging in.

I don't feel quite as tired as I did in my last 2 pregnancies (one successful one not), I'm part time at work now so that probably helps, that or I've just got so used to being knackered with non sleeping ball of energy DD that I'm not noticing it any more Grin zzzz

Newbie You have to put an asterisk () on either side of the word/phrase you want to make bold. To make your name bold I wrote Newbie * without the spaces.

Newbie7077 · 28/07/2016 14:37

NameChange30 Thank you!

Cloeycat · 28/07/2016 15:34

This is def tmi but I have so much snot in my face right now. This has got to be to do with tells pregnancy! I am so tired of blowing my nose/sniffing/sneezing 😂

purplesmiler · 28/07/2016 15:41

cloey I have had congestion too so your not alone.

Despite getting over 8 hours sleep last night I felt unwell after only being up a couple of hours and had to take a mid morning nap. I am on hols so I can do it but come a couple of weeks time when I start my new job that's going to be tricky.

Dozygirl · 28/07/2016 15:43

I'm so so tired and I'm not even back at work yet since having dd. Only 3 weeks left off then I'm back :(
I'm really struggling with having her to look after and being so tired. My mum helps out but it's still not enough. I remember feeling better by 12 weeks though so hopefully in 4 weeks time I'll have energy again.

MonkeyPoozzled76 · 28/07/2016 17:03

Dozy I hear you on the tiredness front and I've only got me to look after (and DHHmm).
Felt great yesterday and did a lovely 2hr country hike with DH, today I cannot move, literally feel like I've ran a marathon. I am supposed to be cleaning the house ready for a viewing tomorrow but sod it, I'll get up early tomorrow!
Think I'm about the same as you, 8wk booking appointment on Monday so roll on 12 weeks.

NameChange30 · 28/07/2016 17:03

Cloey and purple I'm really snotty too! Definitely the weirdest pregnancy symptom I've had so far. And unexpected, it's not one you hear about is it?!

MonkeyPoozzled76 · 28/07/2016 17:07

Purple and Cloey I have snots too Blush
I can cope with it during the day but I'm sleeping all night with my mouth open as can't breathe, am waking up feeling horrid. Not helped this morning by the cat waking me by sticking his foot in my open mouth again. Boak.

louise1609 · 28/07/2016 18:08

Got BFP on 17th, was so excited been waiting sooo long! Spotting started on 20th and turned to bleeding which I've had since. GP's appt on Mon for hCG blood test and again on Friday to compare levels. Just have to 'wait and see' if still pregnant. Very worried Sad

NameChange30 · 28/07/2016 18:18

Oh louise how stressful Sad It sounds like it might be a chemical pregnancy but fingers crossed it's not and it's a sticky one x

alphabook · 28/07/2016 18:28

I have everything crossed for you Louise x

Oh Louise best of luck for you Flowers

I was 7 weeks today - finally shrimp is an embryo not a blasto-whatever. I'm getting less nausea and don't know if I'm tired because I'm working so much at the mo or because of pregnancy?

I have to wait til 13 weeks to have a scan - it still doesn't feel real!

louise1609 · 28/07/2016 19:56

Thank you NameChange30 alphabook and charlybs I've been doing the dreaded Googling and in an attempt to avoid endless searching and reading thought it would be more beneficial to join a forum and share in others good news!

ChoChang · 28/07/2016 20:21

Hi ladies. Hope youre all doing well , not too much sickness and managing to find bras to contain your ever expanding chests!

I've been keeping a low profile over the last week as I've been prety up and down emotionally. The spotting has continued and still ongoing, although hasn't got any worse. Not got many symptoms at all though which is worrying me a bit. Got a private scan booked for tomorrow (7 weeks) so will hopefully find out either way. Terrified, but also just want to know so I can get out of limbo.

Had first appt with midwife today who was the loveliest lady ever. Wasn't a proper booking in appointment, I think they just saw me early cos of my history and cos I go away next week and won't now see her til 9 1/2 weeks (if we're still going strong).

Louise spotting and bleeding is v scary, hope youve got some good support. Hope your bloods show a good increase. Take care Flowers

louise1609 · 28/07/2016 20:28

Thank you ChoChang sorry to hear you're having issues too. It is so very worrying and definitely a roller coaster! Hope your scan goes well, fingers crossed all is well Flowers

alphabook · 28/07/2016 22:15

Good luck Cho, I have everything crossed for you.

Eeek. A friend of mine has a couple of weeks to go but her baby is breech. Today she's going in and they will try to spin the baby. If it gets distressed then today she will be having a ceserean. Nervous and excited for her.

I have my booking and scan dates through for the 9th and 30th August. It's all getting real again. And in a better way than constant nausea.

Hope everyone is well and things improve for cho and Louise Flowers

Gardencentregroupie · 29/07/2016 09:08

Good luck today cho, I hope the scan brings good news. Fingers crossed for you Louise.

Re bras, I have been a 32/34J for the last 18 months, I was a 36J for a while post party. I've been in Royce nursing bras since DD was born, they're not pretty but very comfy and for a nonunderwired bra they give a good shape, no monoboob here.

charlybs · 29/07/2016 09:31

Bra talk - I know I'm on a much smaller scale but I've been a 32B my whole life and I'm now finding a 32C bra I had too tight a fit! It's a whole new world for me haha Grin

NameChange30 · 29/07/2016 09:39

charlybs At least bras still come in your size!
Garden Is it just the Royce nursing bras that come in cup sizes above a DD? I'm looking at the everyday bra (to sleep in) and DD is the biggest size Sad
