Baby Leo, born 03/08/16 at 11.42pm! So pleased he is finally here and that I get newborn cuddles. Felt like he was never going to arrive at one point!

Thanks guys. So pleased to finally have him here. I was holding out calling hospital until 10pm last night as I knew that's when my midwife started work and she is great. By the time I got in I was 8cm and very quickly after being examined it was time for pushing! Looking forward to disturbed nights and pooey nappies now!

What a day! So at 2138 on 5 August, Miguel David was born at a rather bruising 9 lbs 6 1/2oz. He's absolutely perfect and we are completely in love with him.

Am still too shattered to go into the labour story. Suffice it to say there was a point where I didn't think I could do it (transition is intense) and the final pushes took every last ounce of strength, but my gods, you really do forget the pain right away. Seeing and holding him for the first time was simply surreal and hands down the absolute best moment in my life.
