Congratulations. What a gorgeous little girl! So many babies now and just a few stubborn ones left!

I've been on my feet most of the day trying to coax baby out. Been a nice day out for breakfast, going to the park with DD and for walk and bit of shopping. Then came home and trimmed my huge bush (not the lady garden variety!). Found a brand new TENS machine at my sisters house whilst she was clearing out her garage. Spent a bit of time in the sunshine and then this evening we are having "film night" with my little one (3.5 years).

I hope everyone else is enjoying the lovely sunshine

I've had a really nice day pottering around the house packing my bag and just tidying up a bit. Then dropped DD at my sister's as she's staying there for a couple of nights. We then went for dinner on our own which was lovely! I had a pie, mash and veg as I'm BIL by mouth at midnight so wanted something hearty! Feeling so excited to find out what I'm having tomorrow but also know it's going to be tough on my emotions with missing mum. Trying to be really strong but will prob end up crying all day!

I had a few pains last night but they only lasted a couple of hours if that. Persuaded my DP to dtd but didn't seem to kick start anything. I just laughed the whole way through because it was a bit odd!

Just got home from hospital... C section cancelled due to staff sickness and too many women in labour. Told me to stay nil by mouth till 12 as they may get me back in later. Maybe tomorrow who knows. Im pretty annoyed. Didn't get much sleep so now tired and grumpy.

Oh pulpi I know how you feel from DD. What's the plan for you moving forward? Xx

I feel so sorry for myself today. Going to clean my house to distract me. I usually love cleaning but I'm not really feeling it today. It's nice to have you ladies to talk to though

That's really frustrating anna. Especially after you'd prepared yourself for today.

Hope you're both doing ok pulpi and lula. Are there plans for induction at some point for you or are you carrying on with increased monitoring until the babies decide they're ready?

Thanks lu I was really disappointed. They could have rung us this morning save us going in etc. Going to speak to them At 12 and find out the plan. Got a crappy headache from not drinking now and am starving!!! How you feeling? X

Oh Anna, how frustrating!! All that hurry up and wait is beyond exhausting. I can't even imagine how hangry you must feel.

So the plan is to be induced on Wednesday evening. I'm already 3cm, so hopefully it won't take too long to start. I have the option for continued monitoring, but I'm just so done and would rather induce at this point. My back is sore, my feet are swollen, and I cannot keep my eyes open.

Also, MIL was telling us about her sister who went 40+28 before the doctors gave her a section. Mind you, this was Madrid in the 1960s, but oh my gods!!

pulpi 40+ 28!!! I'm weeping thinking about that!!!!! That sounds like torture. You sound like you've got a good plan. I was like you, I just wanted it over with and 3cm is fab!! Hopefully it will be on its way quickly.

Hospital called an hour ago. Not going to happen they were lovely. Going to have another try tomorrow! I've just demolished a baguette with prawns and got a Victoria sponge to have with tea in a bit!!

I'm making the most of not having DD but watching crap tv! X

Tams I think my induction will be sometime over the weekend but have to speak to my midwife tomorrow. The end is in sight at least.

Pulpi I bet Wednesday can't come quick enough for you! I feel the same, I wanted to avoid induction but the aches, pains and uncertainty are making these last few days miserable and I would gladly go in at any point now to have this baby!

I've been doing some nesting and rearranged the lounge and brought down the baby's nappies, wipes and changing mat ready for his arrival.

Anna your lunch sounds amazing. I'm about to settle down with a pint of Ben and Jerry's and last night's episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Lula a weekend induction sounds great - you can start you week off with a brand new baby! And just think, by this time next week you'll be up to your eyeballs with nappies, muslins, and baby vests.

Good luck for tomorrow lu hope you get a plan! Good plan to have changing stuff downstairs. I've got a nappy drawer for DD and baby so I can change them both down here.

Nothing to report here. Just bored and watching Harry Potter. DH ended up going to work but hoping to finish a bit early so we can put the playroom curtains up so I can sit feeding with my boobs out and not having people looking it lol!

Anna Phish Food, but I only got a few scoops in. Been having cramps/mild contractions every 10 minutes or so for the past hour. I'd be excited about this had I not had the same thing several times over the past few days. About RHOA, not sure if it's the newest series or I was just catching it on repeat on ITV.

Pulpi any progress with the contractions this time? I've had the same thing the last few evenings. Keep texting my sister saying this might be it and I might need her to have DD and then an hour later it's all stopped.

Good plan Anna with the curtains! Our new house has got a big hedge and long front garden so people can't look in this time round which is good!

I hope I get a sweep tomorrow but I'm a bit nervous as didn't need one last time! DP has suggested a spicy takeaway tomorrow night which is nice. I think he is trying to help so I don't suggest a bit of sexy time again! Lol.

Ugh. Cramps have tapered right off. Sigh.

Oh I'm so annoyed they've stopped pulpi it's so frustrating!!! I've just had two 25 mins apart but not holding my breath as this keeps happening and stopping. Love Phish food!!! It's my fav! Was it good? I've got a Charlie Bingham's lasagne with garlic bread and veg before I'm nil by mouth again!!!

Ha ha lu anything but sex he's thinking!!! I just don't know anyone a sweep has worked for but it may be the push you need to get going? Oh your house sounds lovely! We overlook trees but as its a new build estate there are tradesman everywhere!!! X

Morning ladies. Anyone give birth overnight? If not maybe today could be the day!

Had a rubbish sleep so very tired at the moment. My lady bits feel like they have been repeatedly kicked this morning. I'm guessing he must have headed down a bit more although still cant see my bump has dropped. It has made my back feel better though so that is good.

My checklist for today;

1. Finish pile of ironing
2. See midwife / get a sweep
3. Spicy takeaway

Oh and ...

4. Go into labour!!!

Sounds like an alright day to me.

P.s Anna laughing at your tradesmen comment. I've got the same problem in a few weeks only they will be in my house!

Lula - No labour here, although cramps did wake me up a few times overnight. Today's project is to repack my hospital bag for a longer hospital stay. Good luck with the sweep - it's a great opportunity to practice breathing and relaxation techniques for labour!

Anna any news on if you'll get in today? Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Never mind Pulpi! I have nearly eaten a whole lemon drizzle loaf cake this morning! How are you getting on today? What's the plan for induction tomorrow?

Just got back from midwife and feeling pretty hopeless. Cervix is still a bit long etc but she did manage to do a successful sweep. Baby's head is still in and out of my pelvis and I have been give a bishops score of 4 which I've just Google and I don't think that is a good thing. I'm so fed up and just want to cry now.

Anna I hope you being quiet means you are close to having a baby if he/she hasn't turned up already!

Lula - I go in at 630 tomorrow evening, so this little one still has a few hours left to get a move on. I think they'll assess where I'm at, but if I'm still sitting at 3cm dilated with a 1cm cervix, it'll be a pessary and laps around the hospital. I'm hoping some progress will have been made and they can just break my waters instead. We just went out for our last supper and I picked up the new Harry Potter on the way. Am now completely ready to go into labour. Sorry to here that the news from the midwife wasn't great, but these things can change really quickly! A couple good contractions could change everything. I bet the lemon drizzle loaf fixes everything. I'm putting all my faith in a fish supper and a bag of Maltesers.
